I'm a 2022 limited solar orange wrx owner and I love the vehicle. Just checked the trip meter, and over the past 8k, I got 28.1mpg. I live in a relatively rural area, so most of the driving is mid to long distance, but there is some urban driving there too. Rarely use the moonroof. Would definitely buy it again.
New 2024 premium owner in the same color here. Go to Crutchfield and spend less than $200 and your sound will beat that massively expensive HK upgrade. The DIY is less than 2 hours and I added soundproofing material in the doors while I had the panels off. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the content. I love my Solar Orange Pearl even though it limits me to black accessories. I’m happy I went with the Limited. I’m 52 and this was the first time in my life I didn’t but the base model. The Harmon Kardon stereo is pretty good, driving at night with adaptive headlights is awesome, but the suede seats were the ultimate selling point for me.
I'm loving my 23 Limited after owning it for 2 weeks and 1000 miles. I have to say, if the GTI had been a little bigger, I may have gotten it for better MPG. I think the GTI is really sweet, even though I didn't care for the infotainment's lack of physical buttons/knobs.
Went with premium because of the no sunroof. I’m just shy of 6’3” and that little bit of extra headroom helps. Also looking back over my left shoulder just a little bit my forehead sometimes hit the roof in sunroof models. This is with my seating position decently upright and that’s based on where my arm fits comfortably on window edge while window is down. If I lean seat back with seat farthest back my arm out the open window is too far forward. In short, the car is just a tad bit small for my dimensions to have a bunch of options seating wise. But how it is set up I’m very comfortable in it. Granted I have yet to do a several hour trip in it where it’s nice to adjust sitting positions. I really really wanted the limited interior, I think I’m just going to try to piece it together as time goes by because I like the soft touch. I have already purchased the Alcantara extended armrest. I agree on the headlights! I want those so badly. I’m not positive but I think the TR front drivers seat sits the lowest of the bunch but I chose not to test drive one to find best seating position because that huge blocked out section of the top of the windshield due to the eyesight cameras. I also don’t want 19”’s but love the looks of the TR 19’s. My only buyer’s remorse is color choice. I really like my silver but one of my other cars is silver so I would of preferred another color like sapphire or magnetite grey. Honestly I like all of the WRX colors but love none of them. I was hoping for a new color for 2024 then got eyesight in all 2024’s which put me in a tight spot.
Fair assessment. I get about the same fuel economy at 24.5 mpg combined as a daily commuter in Dallas traffic. As a 6” 230lbs dude, I feel the seats are comfortable in my WRB premium and the only feature I question/wonder about sometimes is the ultrasuede seats in the limited. I wonder how hot they get in the summer or how they clean up.
I haven't noticed them get too hot. But i tinted my windows. Cant comment on how they clean up. But i spilled water once (one way to clean up) on passenger and of course took some time to dry. Not like leather. I like it tho, more grippy than leather
That's not a sports car. It's a sporty car at best, and the transmission shifts lethargically slow. I test drove one and the whole experience was disappointing. The car just did not feel well calibrated as a whole. Even the AWD did little to make it feel smooth. Very lungy, and jerky.
@@fp5495 lol honestly, the wrx isn’t a sports car anymore either. The CVT especially is tragically laggy and it’s somehow faster than the manual so 🤷🏻♀️
@@Altimit1185 percent of WRXs have the manual - what is your point? WRX at least doesnt have a stupid solid rear axle - who does that anymore? Mazda decided to go luxury, not sporty. WRX is a solid sports sedan - analog in feel.

Fuel economy is in no way the most commonly asked question about a wrx lol..99% of people that but a wrx car nothing about fuel economy...im 24 mpg and I drive hard then baby it when I'm not..

What speakers did you buy from crutchfield? I’m thinking about doing a sound system upgrade on my 23’.
Definitely going to consider making the upgrade.
@@mike_cerra Start with the dash speakers - they are cheap, easy and make the most difference

Are the suede seats easy to clean?
You can upgrade the speakers for less than 200 dollars and it’s better than the HK option. Every forum talks about it

I'm strongly debating between a WRX and GTI. The GTI has me worried about reliability. Leaning more towards WRX.

Love the orange, but I’d go white or black. I’m sick too since march 8, hope you feel better soon Mike!🙂
Thanks Kenny!
Best car for the money.

If you buy this car then you should not worryabout gas milage. Now I am interested in the car not gas.
I’m not worried about fuel economy but my 2023 WRX Premium manual averages 29mpg city/highway.
Great video.
Thanks man!
Cool! 😎👍
Mazda 3 AWD Turbo Hatchback?
