I bought this watch during "boot camp" back in 2011 for a grand total of $12. Fantastic watch. Does not get scrambled by high-energy electromagnetic forces (RADAR), and takes a beating. The watch band will die if used daily after approximately 4 years, but is easy to replace. As far as the "terrorist" watch theory is concerned, allow me to debunk it. Both the f-28w and the F-91w are sold at just about every Navy Exchange globally, and is used by Sailors and Marines alike. I have been wearing it for 5 years in and out of government buildings and airports, and have never had anyone bat an eye.
I bought an F-28W in the year 1996 at Cincinnati airport for 10 bucks because my old wrist watch broke down before my return flight to Europe. After some years the strap disintegrated completely and I bought a new black plastic strap that was more expensive than the watch itself. Some days ago I replaced the battery for the third time only (I think). Now it's 2021. I highly recommend this watch.
I really love the F 28. I have one from the mid 80s, made in Japan. As it is to be expected the strap was the first thing to fail. But the watch still goes strong! Just change the battery and it’s beautiful simplicity is going to shine! Thanks for this video and thanks for your channel! Love the guitars in the back
Very informative. I am actually looking for a new digital watch with all the basic features like alarm, stopwatch, backlight, and countdown timer. Watches may not be your thing like guitars but what would you recommend?
Mi reloj es un f28w de los 80' JAPAN U. no cuenta con luz y solo muestra únicamente la hora muy básico por eso dura la pila mucho mas años que los otros modelos
Yo también tengo uno, de la mitad de los 80. Hecho en Japón. Creo que es maravilloso en su simplicidad. Hice una revisión de esta pieza sobre mi canal. Nunca voy a venderlo. Y tampoco no me lo pongo más en la muñeca. Lo considero como arqueología digital que va preservada.
Hard to believe the technology that you can get in an $15 watch! I used one for years because I needed a stop watch while working. That said, I still prefer mechanical and analog.
