- In the third round of The Honda Classic 2019, Vijay Singh turned in a 5-under 65 to get to 6-under for the tournament, just one stroke off the lead heading into Sunday.

The Honda Classic was great golf
Can someone clear something up for me on the putting rules. I thought they were not allowed to anchor the putter at the top on long putters. It's nice to see Vijay play like the old days again though.
If you look closely, he does not anchor his putter.
People are allowed to use those long putters, like Vijay, but cannot anchor it to their chest or stomach. Same with the putter along the leading arm. You can rest the putter against the arm, but the grip can't go above the elbow.
Could he contend at The Masters?
Him, Freddie, and Bernhard always stick around on the weekend because they have veteran knowledge of that course and have such a scrappy short game so it is possible
He certainly did in 2000. I was there for that one to see him pull off the win. I always did like his swing, even if slightly unorthodox at impact, and it looks even more impressive in person.
He hasn't contended since he won in 2000.. I would know I saw every Masters since 2001.
@@cgasucks He had several Top 10 finishes at the Masters in the years after his win. It's tough to contend for the win when Mickelson and Woods were beating everyone by several strokes those years though.

Jedi King Pudge He's on the champions tour but he plays on the PGA tour sometimes.
@@lrn_news9171 He's just usually in the top 10 on the PGA tour anymore either. But he does pretty well in the Champions tour
