Before the war Russia had 2000-3000 tanks in line and 12000 in reserve now almost 2.5 years of war lost over 4000 in Ukraine and not all tanks on "paper" are fit for service in my opinion their entire tank fleet are less than 6000-8000 tanks

2600 is per Kiev Independent- 1st July. So, 2600 out of 14000 is 20%. So, in 11 years Russia will run out of tanks with this pace. One might say that Russia is using those old tech tanks to good use, otherwise they'd be rusting away and getting significantly less potent. After all, they do serve a purpose, better them than nothing. Considering Russia doesn't have alternatives, those tanks need to be spent and as it happens- better than just scrapped. Tanks seem to be as vulnerable as during ww2 - a lot of tanks were wasted. The American Iraqi magic Abrams times are done. Western tanks are very incapable now. Sure, they might save the lives of the crew more, but what good are they stuck and disabled? To drive the crew so they can ran back? If West gives it all, they might probably give 1500 tanks to Ukraine or something. But I am certain, it will mean more targets rather than armour fists of the western prowess. 😂
