@TmarTn2 I am enjoying these videos. I look forward to all of your videos, although I must ask when are you going to upload another video of F1? Love the F1 series, and want to see more of it.
Here are some tips from a 172 pilot: Rotate at 60 knots Climb at 80 knots by using the nose to control the speed (Down for faster, Up for slower) Keep full power until you reach the altitude you want to climb to When landing keep your speed at 70 to do this use the throttle to control your attitude and your elevator to control the speed (I know it seems backward but it is not) When you come above the runway threshold cut power About 50 feet above the ground pull back keep pulling back until the wheels touch.
I still find it stupid that this game is on Xbox but not PS4 I get it it’s called Microsoft flight sim but how can it run on an Xbox if it can run on that then it can run on a PS4
As a flight sim pilot myself, and someone who hopes to become a fighter pilot in the very near future, it’s fun watching other people try to discover the beauty of flying and it’s cool to see other people take the same journey I have.
Yeah, thats cool and all but this is getting painful to watch. Smooth landing is actually a horrible landing, was way harder than it should have been, no flare (IRL front nose gear would have buckled) and no idea what an ILS/PAPI systems are or how to use them..........
Sovek He just needs some practice. Like the rest of us. I think more people should also try to get in touch with him and inform him on some stuff, whether it’s in the form of comments, DM’s, emails, etc. some stuff I think would help him is knowing the aircraft’s V1 speed, approach speed, landing speed, how to use the glide slope indicator, and how to use his flaps, spoilers, etc. He should learn how to use basic ATC as well. Advanced ATC is quite difficult, but I believe they have a beginner level or something that would help out a lot. I think hearing what he is supposed to do from instructions would help him.
Tom Chavez ik I don’t need that I live there but it would be so cool to see everything from the sky and it would be funny seeing trev struggle flying over the burj khalifa
tip: while landing look out for 4 lights beside the runwayif they are all red you are too low, if they are all white you are too high. You have to make sure 2 are red and the other 2 white which means your approach decent is perfect and just glide down gently. Good tip while using larger and faster plane for landing
@@Sovek86 31:48 you may spot that. And I meant if the PAPI lights were good the approach decent was perfect. I didnt mean him landing the plane was perfect.
Trevor, I would love to see some cessna 152 flying in down in the Grand Canyon. Flying in and out weaving between the canyon would be Amazing to watch!
I'm honestly impressed that you're taking the time to actually learn how to fly in a sim, hell even buying a full yoke & throttle setup for it. Unlike most yters I see playing this sim so far you're the most dedicated I seen! Looking forward to more
I would love to see Japan on this (the archipelago is made of like 6,800 + islands) x and some fun facts about the place that your flying to, like you did with man eater. Also I looked it up Trev and there’s a section in options where you can change simulation rate
loving this series so far, really good looking realistic cities and mechanics, hope Trev will keep up with this series because honestly this is becoming my favourite so far
Good job dude ur the only utuber who is actually trying to learn how to use all the controls Keep up the work I remeber watching u in 2017 thinking u were an actual racer l 😆
Honestly flying over a large city and having Trevor explain what areas were what was really entertaining. He should be like a flight simulator tour guide lmao
Although i don't even think MS has any monopoly on the data... A virtual version of Earth with 3d buildings has been an option from google since 2009, from what i can see. :-B
Working in aviation, it is crazy how spot on and accurate this game is. A lot of companies use this software for in office training purposes to pilots.
Trev if you press 'Y' you can 'slew'. It basically pauses the game and you can move your aircraft forwards/backwards, up/down etc to wherever you want in a matter of seconds. E.g. of you're flying over the Atlantic and you want to hurry up, just slew over the Atlantic and then just press play again :) Like this so Trev sees. I love your videos Trev!! Keep up the good work. Loving the f1 series!!!!
Airline pilots: why tf is there a Cessna taxiing to the runway Tev: because why not Airline pilot: but these airports are meant for 40 ton planes and your plane is only a ton. Your plane is meant for local airport for local flights Tev: don’t care *takes off*
Imagine if Trevor's on a flight and unfortunately something happens to the pilot he gets unconscious and an another pilot comes out of the cockpit and asks the passengers has anyone got a approved flying license and then Trevor shows up it would have been so amazing
As someone from Arizona, you should take a flight from Phx Sky Harbor International up to the Grand Canyon airport, get a nice view of Sedona and Flagstaff on your way
Aviation & Flight Sim fan here!! Nice video you made.., And the sim is incredible indeed. What’s even more amazing is that the developers committed a 10 year support for this simulator and would love to see the support go 10 years... So the world will be receiving more updates eventually... And I believe Atlantis around 27:20 will be getting an update. Even tho this is the final product. This flight simulator isn’t finished. It’s just started.... Soo imagine how much better it would be in the next 2 years at least!! :))
Ive been to the bahamas, dont really remember this but when you mentioned atlantis i immediately remembered i had been there haha. took a cruise there when i was younger.
"were just not getting the airspeed I want" "I don't know what we are missing here" Answer: an understanding of how planes fly. rofl. Yeah... this is a cessna. not a fighter jet. You aren't going to be cruising at 110 knots when you are in a steep, climbing turn /w the AOA indicator in the red. The reason you were continually drifting off of the runway centerline to the left, was a crosswind.
Tmartn the FPS is horrible man, like things look choppy so i think u need to turn down some of the settings or maybe the resolution? Or even getting a new PC idk. EDIT: Specifically when flying over cities the FPS takes a big dip
As long as you fly over Dubai, Egypt, Rio, basically make a list of the seven wonders of the world and fly over all of em during this series I'll be satisfied.
In the climb out, the reason why the nose wants to drop is because it wants to pick up the airspeed since you were borderline stalling. A typical climb out speed for the 172 is about 85 knots
Just to make it easy on you keep the mixture (red) full forward if you’re below 5,000 or still climbing since you’re not trained and only take out a little bit if you want to. Don’t pull it all out or else you’ll starve your engine. That will help your plane perform a little better. And you’re only supposed to put flaps down if you’re within the white arc on the airspeed indicator.
Where should we fly next? 👀
England
Atlanta where I live
