I wish you were around when I was young, being forced to answer rhetorical questions in a CCD workbook by a voulenteer. My experience was that they likely didn’t know what was going on nor care enough to do anything but force us all through the motions, and accomplish that weeks box check. If we could have had an honest realist like you, who actually cared enough to read scripture beyond what was in the teachers guide and enthusiastically explain it to us, boy oh boy what a blessing that would have been.
