I’m thinking of pairing an A type with a V type, or a Greenback with a V type. The A type is far cheaper but damn this video makes the greenback sound good. 🤔
Very articulate through the distortion. Notes do not run into each other. That's why people always saying. Well by itself when I hear it's to bright. BUT recorded in the mix it sounds pretty good. Because the frequency doesn't get louder it gets clearer, more chime, adding distinction to the trailing edge of the note. This is a darn good speaker especially for low wattage amps. Where distortion is used to add sustain. It sings
The A type and the Greenback for me. Everything else has at least one unpleasant fizz or hiss somewhere in the top end or high mids. The G12H30 I thought was the only one with some of that fizz/hiss where it’s just enough that it doesn’t sound borderline at least
Not my real life experience and break in may have been part of it. Jensen Jet Falcon is a great low fizz speaker. I have a 210 and it sounds huge without harshness.
Celestion have been making speakers for donkeys years, I have some wooden cabinets with Celestion drivers and tweeters that I use for discos, excellent sound and plenty of headroom, old technology is gold technology.
I think the point of speaker shootout and gear demos is for your ear to _get_ familiarized with the sample, so that an isolated comparison is possible. You should use the same sample/riff if you want to make this comparison really useful.
Wow that a type to evh is a drastic change. The g12k was tight but not my thing. The first v30 was gnarly I get why it’s so loved. The reaper almost sounds like a fuzz pedal is on by accident. Neo creamback is probably my favorite 12.
Every time I hear a speaker demo and I get to the Greenback, my ears go "yes, that's just right...." I also like the G12H30 but only if you have a warm sounding amp (and maybe a 1x12 open back combo or cab)
just something to consider but I would love if you could create some more WGS speaker impulses. The invader and ET series would be awesome to have. Love all your stuff, thank you so much for everything!
G12H anniversary. Hands down the best one, but the greenback and reaper had an interesting sound. The K100 is.... good but bad. And I hated the 30s and EVH. Burn those! Type A was like a very flat, run of the mill type sound.
I would pick the v30 and the greenback and mix them together were the 2 i liked the most. I might be rong but maybe they will compensate each other in some frequencies. If not i dont see any problem in puting the 2 i liked the most,to me its a win ,win situation, thanks for the video 🤘✌
There are 2 very different celestion vintage 30s. A brighter and a darker version! The darker version is what I'm sure I heard on a Mesa recto. There's some discrepancy in how the speaker sounds that has been driving people bananas.
True. Officially the mesa speakers are designed by mesa to be 'mesa voiced'. But that aside, lots of vintage 30's sound different mostly depending on when they were made.
Tienen disponible en venta algún paquete de IRs del speaker Reaper HP de Warehouse Guitar Speakers? Me interesa adquirir Impulsos de ese speaker en específico.
I got 2 Reaper 30 watt and 2 of their Retro 30's and that cab is staying as is! I also have a bright cab with a bright amp elsewhere so i'm replacing the top 2 with something with less treble bit and even though i love the Reapers, i wanna try something else. So far, it's WGS et65 or Invaders Vet 30, Celestion A Type or Green/creamback or Eminence Governor. Which one has the best presence without being treble bitey?

That A Type sounds perfect. The Celestion IR sounds very scooped by comparison. What head/guitar are you using? I've never heard an AC30 sound so metal!
G12h 70th can sound very good. I got these in a framus 2x12. G12m Greenbacks sound good. The A-type also. But in real life i did not like it. V30 is king but you need to find a good pair…
How can two of the same model speaker sound so insanely different?... They're like the most different between all of these. - Sounds like that second V30 was fried or something.
I like the V30 CN more than the UK.... The UK sounds like a steaming pile of elephant shit, as my dear friend Glenn Fricker would say. The Reaper and the Greenback as well as the EVH sound also marvellous.
not all I`m working on the VOX but my goal its get the "VOX" kinda sound but on the pack youll find the greenback, A Type, G12H anniversary, alnico blue and A Type , and two cool speaker additions

Greenback sounds amazing, has a lot of character and detail and nice midrange. The UK V30 sounds like shit, the chinese V30 is much better thant the UK one.
are we not gonna talk about how he got these high gain tones out of a vox ac 30

for sure, must have had a pedal in front

High gain, sure, but without the use of pedals, a vox ac 30 sounds nothing like an evh 5150 cranked
@@kenjicarlos8402 The amp is where the gain happens, but the tone is in the speaker.
For me the Greenback was the best. I would have liked for the Vtype to had been included it’s a great speaker.
Surprisingly, I thought the A-Type was the clear winner in this demo!!! Might just have to try one out!
The type A was good but I REALLY liked the greenback
Too muffled and very nasal midrange to my ears.
Feels like A-type could be a great pair with a g12h in 2x12 cab for beefy riffing mostly. It gives some extra low-mid punch, while g12m cuts thru
I’m thinking of pairing an A type with a V type, or a Greenback with a V type. The A type is far cheaper but damn this video makes the greenback sound good. 🤔
A type and G12 had the most punch and clarity
Type A & G12H are the best sounding based on this video. Thanks for comparing them 👍🏻

I thought the same damn..

Nice comparison ! I would pan the A type with the g12H for the win

Much fun to listen to. I love your ir. And great riff.
My favorites were A type, Green, and G12h
Yep totally agree and hard to say which was best because they all sounded good.
The A type! Wow!

Best speakers in my opinion have good amount but tight bass, slightly scooped low mid, upper mid 2k bump and a nice clear treble.
Loving this riff man the melody is great have to post tabs haha!
g12h for the win 😊
