    How To Make Turkish Chicken Kebab (Tavuk Şiş)
    4 chicken breast fillets (thigh may be used)
    1 coarsely diced onion
    3 crushed garlic cloves
    1 tbsp tomato paste
    1 cup plain yoghurt (unsweetened)
    2 tbsp lemon juice
    2 tbsp vegetable oil
    1 tbsp salt
    1 tsp ground cumin
    1 tsp ground paprika
    1/4 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1 tbsp aleppo chilli, 1 tsp ground chilli can be substitued

    Awesome explanation man. Perfectly done.. came out great.
    If you do t have a charcoal grill. Just take a wok or steel pot n put hot charcoal inside and place a toaster rack on top to grill the chicken... worked for me

    My Grandchildren lived in MA, when visiting I would pick up dinner for all of us at a local Kebab place. Watching my Grands enjoy their dinners was great. Good clean healthy food. Thanks for the recipe and instructions, now I can make it myself. Watched the rice video too.

      Hope you don't mind if I ask a question. What did you do with the chunks of onion he put in the mix. As they don't seem to be on his skewer anymore. Did you just discard them or did you just add them to your skewer.

    I've tried this recipe twice in the past week... So simple and delicious. I even bought a kabab skewer set with rack to keep th from resting directly on the grill.

    I watched this and your Sujuk kebab video months ago and told myself I would give them a try. Never did, told myself I was waiting for the summer.
    After making your falafel last night and having such a possitive result, I think I will be getting the bbq out next week to get my meat fix.

    I did a little research and found a suggested 4 parts sweet (Hungarian) paprika to one part cayenne pepper as a substitute for Aleppo pepper. Looking forward to trying this.

    YES!!! Finally someone who actually cuts off all the nasty parts of the chicken before cooking it. I am so sick of watching other videos of cooks mixing in the bloody veins, the fat and all the nasty crap at the edges of a raw piece of chicken. Thank you so much.     I tried this recipe in the air fryer! Wow amazinggg taste. I don’t have a grill but the air fryer is a great alternative.

      its the same with gas. i have both and the taste comes from the burning oil which creates smoke and delivers flavor to the meat, not the charcoal itself.

    Flat skewers prevent the meat pieces from spinning round when u don't want them to when u rotate the skewers. The tip to push the front piece back a little to release all the pieces is a good one.

      +Emily Cedeno you would want roughly a 180-190 degrees Celsius oven, about 18-20 minutes would do the job

    We saved the marinade mixture and added about 5 Tbsps of flour, then shallowed fried them in vegetable oil and they made great onion bhajis. Didn’t want to waste any of that awesome marinade

    Y'all don't hesitate to try this. I have made this multiple times over charcoal and it doesn't cost a whole lot to make. Also they are excellent after sitting in the fridge overnight.

      No wonder he’s not doing any recent stuff, come on! Yes maybe he meant 1inch? I don’t know and don’t care. You can see the size he’s doing them visually. He’s done some brilliant stuff and I’m great full for what I’ve learned and mastered. A lot of this type of recipe calls for a ‘dash ‘ of this and a ‘splash ‘ of that.     I live in Puerto Rico now, and there is a Turkish restaurant in my area. He only makes gyro and kabob, no rice. He also has Turkish coffee which surprised the hell out of me when I got to the bottom of the cup do they were settlements in!!

    Alleppo chilli is quite hard to find now, but it is worth searching for, it can be not so hot , but allows you to add as much as you desire, it has a subtle flavour! , this dish looks supetb😀

    People finding it hard to find Aleppo chilly. Turks call it Pul biber. Easily found in local Turkish food shops in England and Waitrose. This is one of the best chicken dishes in the world. And simple to make.

      simple brother get half and half lamb and beef meat. marinade with oil and milk, onion juice sold. pepper keep over night .
