Thanks for the update and hope you feel better soon. BTW inclusion Scotland released some research recently which revealed high levels of bullying against UC claimants. Now more than ever we need to come together to fight back against DWP actions which harm people. John pring, editor of the Disability News service has a new book out, The Department, which reveals how the DWP has caused the deaths of hundreds of disabled people. We should support the call of John MccDonell MP for a public inquiry into the many deaths directly caused by the actions of the DWP.
This is a very good comment, I agree. I believe that there are many families out there facing bereavement over the loss of a family member that has unfortunately had to rely on support from their national community and had the rug snatched from under their feet by the DWP for no valid legal reason. I will certainly be answering the call of John McDonell MP. Thank you for this information casca!
Hello Stu, you're such a good man and an invaluable source of information for people like me on disability benefits. I wish you the very best and hope you recover well. It's sad to see you ill. Please take care of yourself. Thankyou for all your helpful advice.
Just been through the transitional stage from ESA support group. I didn’t get my transitional protection even tho I left a message earlier on so you must message them soon as you see it’s not been added and that day I was given the extra pay back. So definitely check through your moneys.
Thankyou for the information, I had my letter to change from ESA support to universal credit a few days before Christmas! I'm really frightened and can't sleep with worry. I have to claim before 5th March. Im not good with using a computer to claim. I felt better after watching you give advice. Look after yourself. X

Your video is very much appreciated Stu. Before Christmas I was sent my migration from PIP to ADP letter. There was some confusion which had me going to my local council office and it was suggested that I phone the DWP as well. I'm terrified of phones and told the council worker and she suggested I go in to the job centre instead - also terrifying - but I went in. While I was there I asked about the migration to UC. The lady was lovely. She reassured me that I would get transitional payment when I transfer - an advisor at the welfare told me that only people on tax credit were entitled to transitional payments (I won't be going back there again) I really was in a state. She was so good with me, asked how long I'd been on esa support group etc and calmed my fears somewhat. She said when my migration letter comes and I need help to go see her. I probably won't, there's someone I usually get help from but it was nice of her to offer. All I'm trying to say is that after being so scared of the DWP, I've discovered they're not all bad, some are kind and patient. It's helped somewhat with my fear of them. Please don't tell me horror stories folks lol I know they're not all like that. I just wanted to give a positive story about them. Life's scary just now and something with a good outcome is not often shared these days. Hope you start feeling better soon Stu.
hi Stu, I got my migration letter but going online with the link given there is nothing regarding migration. This is crazy it is treating my application as normal UC application, they haven't even asked for my ESA reference number. I don't trust them and I don't like them. I have been so stressed out I only have until 2 weeks into Feb and I am seriously panicking. I do have a support chap who is helping and hopefully CAB will be able to assist me asap. I hate having to have a stupid username and password as ESA has none of that rubbish- I hate going through this. All the best to you.
I feel the same, really panicking and upset. I got my letter a few days before Christmas. I am in the support group on ESA, I couldn't find a migration form to fill out, only new application. All I do is cry, its so stressful especially when you are ill. I also receive pip because of my illness. I sometimes wonder if its all worth it. Good luck with your application x
@@ppthegreatest3941 i got my letter not long before you. i am also in the support group. I have had moments myself and wished i wasn't here. I hope you can get your application sorted too.
Poppy on Scope forums (she's amazing truly) says if migrating to UC from ESA to put a note saying in support group and are migrating, if they send a WCA or may have been a fit note just ignore it (does this for her daughter and is involved in a lot of the threads, she's really quite knowledgeable I think).
Other added information I can give that happened to me is that you will get the last of your ESA payment 2 weeks after you apply for UC so you won’t go through 5 weeks with no pay. You can as well ask for a loan. If you choose to get a loan you can yourself work out how much, what period to may it over. I chose £200 - £8 over 24 months.
Cheers Stu for the video, informative as always. It's a shame that they cause so much confusion, panic, and disruption to peoples lives when we already suffer enough. I suppose the main thing to remember though is that there are always people on our side in communities like this, so long as you seek the support you're increasing your chances of getting or keeping what you're eligible for. Can't wait to see everybody during the next Live Q&A, whenever that may be. Most importantly get better soon bro, sending positive vibes! I hope everybody had a great Christmas and New year so far. Hopefully this one will be a good one for our community!
Warning: If you have UC & ESA they can switch over without notifying or advanced warning. They did it to me just before xmas & it's left me over £1000 short for 10 weeks, half of which I will never even see again & it means I can't pay bills & will even struggle to feed my family.
Should leave people on ESA alone. Its cruel and disgusting how the government treating the sick and disabled. They seem to be getting away with anything. And nobody can stop them.🤔☹️

Yeah man that's messed up... so when they took you off Severe Disability Premium, was that following an assessment or change of circumstances form by you? Hi Stuart is it true do you know that if you receive severe disability premium on esa that you can appeal your transitional letter over to universal credit please help thanks
Hi Stu. I am new to your channel. Please can you clarify if the DWP are transitioning all esa claimants as I saw someone stating that they might only be transitioning contributions based esa claimants. Do you know anything about that?
I was born with a disability for which I am in receipt of ESA Support Group; last Friday I received a text message informing me to migrate to UC before it’s too late, so I immediately filed out a online form. Then attended a appointment at the DWP office today where I was told that I will remain in the Support Group on UC, however I will have to apply for a loan to keep me tied over for 5 weeks, I’ll have to phone the ESA department tomorrow to find out if they will continue paying ESA until I get my UC payment.
I'm watching this because I had an ESA medical assessment check several months ago I'm nothing changed I was awarded to save money plus £20 increase. But what I need to say is, I don't know what you're on about with the migration thing.

I'm unsure what group I've been put in too and unfortunately the welfare rights guy who has been helping me is on holiday until the Monday after next.
hi did you get it sorted i have had a similar message saying your UC entitlement is not less than your previous benefits so we are have not added an extra payment sending me nut this i am due the first payment of £1.142.32 on the 29 of jan wich is well down from what i got on ESA i thought i would get the same amount ive been on ESA for 30 years nothing as changed for me.
@@MrFrankstanks I'm going to get the welfare rights guy who is helping me take a look at it when he returns from a holiday next week. I've been told the basic rate of UC for a single person is £393 and that i will get an extra £416 due to being LCWRA as i was previously in the support group for ESA. Had £23 deducted due to being no longer entitled to ESA so only got paid £786 this month. I agree it is stressful.
If esa has ended for me why is there a letter saying thiss is your esa alowownce
Hi stu. Get well soon. 🙏 I've just done this process a few days ago. They say on my to do list they may ring me in a few days. I'm not sure what they be asking though. I'm worried about not getting the transitional payment.
Ask the advisor.
.. also get advice.
Well you have me panicking now,I have to transition over by 12 Feb and now I'm worried
Don't panic, I'm informing you of a possibility that could occur and the steps to correct it if in the event that it does, but as I say in the video this is not the experience of everyone, most people have no problems.
The chances are low that it will go wrong, but if it does, you can fix it with Stu's help and advice offered in the videos. Remember that the DWP want you to panic, that's why they do all this legal jargon and deadlines etc. We got your back Vinny, don't worry, just arm yourself with the knowledge Stu provides and you will prevail. Don't forget, if you need to put your mind at rest you can always contact Citizens Advice Burau, or a number of charities to help with your issues.
Will Nvidia be sending you a 5090 or 5080 for review?
Hi Stuart is it true do you know that if you receive severe disability premium on esa that you can appeal your transitional letter over to universal credit please help thanks

Got my Migration letter on Saturday.
Everything that I've read into this before Saturday and since. Does not inspire great feelings.
I’m in the same situation, it’s absolutely destroying me mentally, but I think that the DWP know what they’re doing and get a kick out of this.

Hi Stu. I am new to your channel. Please can you clarify if the DWP are transitioning all esa claimants as I saw someone stating that they might only be transitioning contributions based esa claimants. Do you know anything about that?
I’m on income based ESA and just got my migration letter so it’s everyone.
Everyone of every form of income based ESA has to migrate to UC.
I know u couldn't leave it more videos
Hi do you know what happens to people that have to migrate to UC that are in the ESA support group.
@@HELL-BENT74 u should have an extra 2 weeks esa and housing benefit from date of uc claim so its only 3 weeks without
@@stephenbennett7245 Thank you for your time and help.
I'm watching this because I had an ESA medical assessment check several months ago I'm nothing changed I was awarded to save money plus £20 increase. But what I need to say is, I don't know what you're on about with the migration thing.

Hi, are you informed, or is it done automatically?
You have to apply online to migrate from ESA to UC
@@HELL-BENT74what happens if you don't own a computer, or not computer savvy.
@ Then the DWP expects people in those circumstances to use their landline phone, or a cell-phone.
@ My Enema-Nurse’s name is Jayne, it’s not you is it?
I didn’t think you were unkempt I just thought your beard was very bushy today.
Yah me too! A little jel tbh. lol

Please read my comment
If you have had a migration letter then you need to apply for Universal Credit. If you are having difficulty making sense of conflicting letters I would book an appointment with your local CAB to discuss with someone who can explain it for you
Nothing mak😅sence
Hi. Thanks for the video. Just wanted to let you know that the title is incorrect. Either you meant ‘from’ not ‘to’, or you have UC and ESA backwards.
Thanks for that
Get well soon ❤
