the first time i played a les paul through a marshall with 4x12 at a gig and decent volumes,it was surreal. It was like i understood what rock n roll is all about. I'll never forget that feeling
couldn't have said it better. I go back to the first time my friend's brother put a bass in my hand, showed me "Sympathy for the Devil," and he cranked his own Les Paul and it took me!
Absolutely. Nothing compares to that experience. Even if you use ear protection, that amount of air being moved around you and the way the guitar reacts to it... it's pure magic. //Kris
I think Thomann should provide an isolated room just for people who wanna play any gear from the store as loud as possible. You have to book a spot in advance, pay a bit of money. But when you're there, nobody disturbs you for an hour or two. The "decibel-cell". I would get a 100W Diezel VH4 with a 4x12 Mesa with V30s and a LP, dial in AJs settings on the amp and then close my eyes and dive into sonic goodness.
Haha, yeah that'd be something. 🙌 Thomann actually has like 7 rooms (booths) for guitar and bass amps, pedals, custom shop guitars, etc. You can't book them for yourself though and there is a volume limit. It's a pretty high limit, but still. They'd come in and ask you if you're insane if you rocked 125dB in there, haha! //Kris
That twin reverb rig is fookin SICK MATE. I got my custom shop Les Paul from Thomann , now need to get a 60w twin reverb and perfect for my small house rig 😂😂
Ac30 with Blues, Bluesbreaker Greenbacks, Fender Twin. AC30 & Bluesbreaker set on edge of breakup, fender super clean WDW (ac30 dry) Strat with noiseless pickups. Tonebender, Phase 100, Rangemaster, Memory man CAE Booster.
My stadium rig? Basically the rig I have at home! Custom Kiesel CS-6 into a Marshall JVM410H through a 1960A cab with some really nice pedals (Strymon trifecta, Origin Cali76 Stacked, etc.). On rare occasions, I even run stereo with my JVM410C's power amp slaved to the 410H's preamp (stereo image courtesy of the Stryfecta). That's a bit loud for home--even with the volume down at 1.5--but it's absolutely glorious!
Once it’s eventually back in working condition I’ll keep my fender super twin reverb available for Jillian to try its 120watts of pure tube power. My dream stadium rig is 3 revv gen 100p full stacks with a helix handling efx for the WDW dream rig.
That's the way Rock should be played. I apologize to all the ears in the world, but this is the correct way to feel Rock. Every guitarist once in a life time should try this! Welcome to Heaven or Hell! You name it!
Money no object: Stereo Marshalls, either a pair of bluesbreakers, or just go nuts with a two JCM-900 over a pair of 4x12s (full stack might be too much unless it’s for like like a massive outdoor gig.) I have a Carl Martin Plexiranger, and an MXR Submachine, plus the Stereo Memoryman). G&L S-500, or anything with p-90s (the hum adds flavor.)
Great theme for the vid! Keep going!! ;) My stadium rig... would probably be a wet-dry-wet, with an AC30 sided by 2x deluxe reverbs, with a Keeley Muse Driver, JAM Harmonious Monk and DM-2w, and a strat and tele out front. I dare you!! ;) Again, keep up the great work!
The only issue i see with the Plex rig is that at the volume necessary for the stadium, you are going to be getting the 6L6 breakup of the Power Station added onto the breakup of the Plex. Just use a 100w Plexi at that point.
Mine would be a tweed bassman mic'd and a tele with a mini humbucker in the neck and tex mex bridge. Pedal board would be tuner, reverb, delay, trem, fuzz, green od, blue od, distortion, volume, and looper.
JFYI half stack is one 4x12. The full stack is two 4x12. 2x12 is 1/4 of the full stack. Now, there are some 4x 6L6 monster power Twins with very special speakers that are extremely loud. But still real full stack with turret board pre 1975 100 Watt Plexi and full stack is way louder. Especially if the speakers are of the high sensitivity kind. Even with the M magnets and "only" 97 dB/Watt/M speakers, full stack is so loud that majes people stop playing when they hit the first chord. Even with hearing protection, you feel something highly dangerous is going on, and you are in danger. I remember my first 120 Watt 4x 6L6 amp head with half stack high efficiency speakers experience. My pantleg's were moving. It felt so impressive that I couldn't play at first. What came out of me first were simple, few power riffs songs like smoke on the water and such. I was not in control of my hands. Mind you, it was in midd size rehearsal room. Walls were isolated, and there were almost no reflections. Sound pressure was brutal. Still 100 Watt Plexi full stack was more visceral.
Well ... done, selected, played BUT These rigs ain't no big seller why .... Most of us stay@home&suck So please put out a video for those of us who are honest axe manglers and weird musicians .... and just suck@axe Just to give you a hint: Marshall Code & Ukulele + ModREX ...

Surely they need a Form that you cannot Sue them if you suffer hearing loss or damage.
Thomann has those rooms

Good to see you're back! Excited for the next livestream 😎

Twin Reverbs in all the bedrooms!! 🙌😆 //Kris
Boys and toys!
A nice change from my acoustic/home volume music
just got my summer job payment today and I see a video from thomann i think that might be a sign
Yolo, bro❤
Love the presenters and the editing!
Aww thanks a lot! 🫶 I love the edit too, thanks Manos!! 🤘 //Kris
Fun! The twin reverb was awesome. I’d pick a super reverb, a strat and a fuzz face myself.
Same kind of fun, with monstrous bass stacks and low tuned long scale basses!!!💪🏻👊🏻😵

In Germnay we say "its hirnverbrannt loud, but its soooo fun!" and I think thats beautiful. 😂
😆 I only know abartig loud, krank loud and lächerlich loud. But I like yours more buddy. Haha! //Kris

best job in the world

YES for the twin for G and HELLYES for the 3x 100P WDW rig! 🙌 //Kris
I KNEW Kris would choose the F-Man Plex!!! So obvious and so epic I love iiiittttt
Haha, you just know me dude. 😆 But seriously, WHAT AN AMP.
Cheers bud //Kris

I apologize to all the ears in the world, but this is the correct way to feel Rock.

Welcome to Heaven or Hell! You name it!
It‘s time to pull out a fullstack boys! For the real fun! 😎
We had to leave some wiggle room for a possible sequel video. 😆 //Kris

This is why we have TH-cam.
Looks like you had some good fun. That dummy head in the room could make for some really cool impulses. :)

Thanks mate! That sounds like a rig I'd love to crank. //Kris
Nice!
More cowbell….
and more Julia 😎
I was typing in the comments about "how could you walk out of the room without using both together"...then thanks G!

Gibson Les Paul+Marshall perfect combination.
Ok, my stadium amp setup would be two 4x12 cabs with a Orange and Silver Jubilee head. In a stadium you need a multiple amp setup. 😉
Orange OR120 full stack. Thats what I would run. I’d like to hear you guys play it first though. 😆
the room mic is killer. It sounds like you're in the room with the amps. real life, on stage tones.
Thanks a lot! Yeah that Neumann head mic is out of this world! Sorry, his name is Francis. Almost forgot. 😅 //Kris
Mine would be a tweed bassman mic'd and a tele with a mini humbucker in the neck and tex mex bridge. Pedal board would be tuner, reverb, delay, trem, fuzz, green od, blue od, distortion, volume, and looper.
That sounds epic!! //Kris
Who else thought Guillaume had a cape at the start of the video ? ^^
duuuuuuuude XD eagle eye! :P
What kind of earplugs do you use?
I'm using these Alpine PartyPlugs: tho.mn/lxvg3
And G is using some in-ears (InEar Stage Diver SD-3 I think).
Cheers //Kris
For the head of Guillaume's amp I expected the John Mayer PRS J MOD 100 😂
Yeah me too! That would've been the ultimate John G. Mayer experience. 🤣 //Kris
salivating for the lefty LP hanging on the wall....
Ditto. In Lemon Burst or Bourbon Burst for me
Nice to see that you spotted our Lefty Appreciation Corner. 🙌 You've seen the poster next to the guitar, right? //Kris

well its true what they say, the greatest tone is loudest AND heaviest to carry lol
Definitely worth 100 million beri
Two amp rig JTM45 and AC30 + Les Paul
hellyeah! //Kris
My rig would be a Tele or a Junior into a ToneBender into an echofix into a Bassman.
I got excited a little just by reading that. 😆🙌 //Kris
@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses "You had me at Tele." 😂
A real leslie would be fun😇
Oh gosh.... YESSS! //Kris
