I put Acura rsx seats in my 97 Tacoma. I did not chop up the floor or drill holes.. I put the seat in there and got it straight with shims. Then I simply made metal brackets to weld to seat rail and that would bolt up in stock floor location, works great.
I put the truck on the back burner for the winter months but as soon as the weather breaks I'm going to get to work on it. I've got a lot more work to do. I can't freaking wait!
I am loving this series. I found it because I just bought a Tacoma like this with less than 100k miles on it for 400$!! Was considering an LS swap and wondering if anyone has done it before. I also heard the LS bolts up to the stock trans without an adapter? Mine is a 91 but everything seems to be the same as what you have. Anyways can’t wait to see what comes of your TH-cam account you’re definitely doing a good job so far
Thanks man I really appreciate that. And ya I say go for it! I don't think the ls will bolt right up the the bell housing on the Toyota trans though. I can't confirm that but just can't see that being the case. You could probably make an adapter though
I’m still not getting notifications being subscribed w/ the bell. Grrr... Specking of brakes you going to need these! th-cam.com/video/uTCwWmbPV1I/w-d-xo.html The same guy also installed coilovers & I’m pretty sure you’re going to need better shocks & springs up front! I would use a damp towel to cover the material on the seats so we don’t burn little holes.
kind of funny I actually did this big brake up grade on my 97 Tacoma. It was not cheap I think I spent like 800$ or so, but I did get the slotted and cross drilled rotors, it stops great the brake pedal is like a solid rock.

Hey, when are you coming out with part 14? I’ve been really interested in this build series.

How much was the full engine swap?
I'm probably going to have a total of around 15k into it including what I bought the truck for but you could definitely do it way cheaper
