Eileen is 59 years old, there is no way! She hasn't aged since 35!! You will be missed on Y & R.

I loved that Ashley was such an intelligent and real character. I always felt she was relatable and I respected her. I think most of that is due to Eileen because she comes off the same way IRL. She will be missed.

She was nasty. Disliked her since I saw the true pot stirring witch she was on HOBH. Very passice aggressive on that show and after she started on that show I could never watch her on YR. Im glad she's gone and hope she doesnt come back.
Eileen Davidson is such a fantastic actress. She is going to be missed. No one can play the role of Ashley the way she does. She puts so much raw emotion in the part.

I have been watching Y&R faithfully since 1984. I'm so happy I came across this interview. It has given me hope that maybe one day Ashley will return to Genoa City.
I love Eileen's portrayal of Ashley. No replacement could fill her shoes. Her acting is phenomenal!!!

I remember the first episode Eileen appeared in on Y&R. Ashley had returned home from college. I was a junior in college at the time and when I saw Ashley for the first time I thought she was one of the most beautiful women I had ever seen before in my life. I will miss Eileen on "The Young and the Restless".

Same here, Alvin. I was in high school in 1982 when Eileen first appeared on the show in her sorority sweatshirt. I thought she was one of the prettiest girls I'd ever seen. She looked like one of those girls who'd be NICE to you, but would never in a million years condescend to actually DATE you, lol.
Eillen davidson will be missed watched with my mother for years. and with my daughter in law who both passed away .In honor of them both will still watch. but Ashley character will be missed. all the best.
Sorry about your losses
I started day 1 watching with my dad. He always worked 2nd shift and we watched Y&R and AMC. He died last year and was still watching at 83. I miss him so and I will miss her too.
She's ok not really going to miss her....Her character was so stuffy. The other characters can carry the soap...
First of all, sorry for your lost and secondly she will be missed yet is coming for a few episodes in March. I will also miss her as a regular and as Neil Winters love interest R.I.P. Kristoff St John they made a nice couple

WOW, Ashley Abbott. I first watched this soap opera back in 1984 and she was one of the characters that caught my attention. I had such a crush on her then. I'm not a soap opera guy and I didn't watch this series for long, but when I did watch it , it was basically to look at her. 😊

I hated my name until I started watching Young and the Restless and I loved Ashley, found out her name was Eileen and didn't mind anymore, LOL
I started watching this show when I was 4 years old with my Aunt. I will be 58 years old this February (be it God's will), and The Young and the Restless is my all time favorite soap opera. I remember when Eileen Davidson came on the show to play Ashley Abbott. I knew then that she would be a long running character - she is a class act, and clearly one of my favorite actresses. However, all good things must end, and I really wish you the best Eileen (Ashley) Davidson in all your endeavors.

OMG I'm heartbroken..... She is an amazing actress with a lot of depth!!! She will be sooooooo missed. I have been watching for over 40 years..... This is so heartbreaking as I know she has had many broken things happen in her real life and I thought she'd leave then but how this has happened it really hurts my heart. She has always been my favorite actress and the way she's leaving I'm not so sure Y & R will get through this. She took the patterns so now what?? I want to wish Eileen the very BEST in anything she might get into after this! You will truly be missed by all!!

Ashley, Eileen Davidson-Brenda Epperson, has always been my favorite character on the show and Victoria, Heather Tom, is very, very close.

Eileen originated the role 82--88 and she even went to YR producers and urge them to hire Brenda Epperson to play Ashley...Eileen ran into Brenda Epperson at a restaurant and Brenda, played Ashley 88-95...Then they hired Shari Shuttuck she wasn't a good Ashley she was the 1st wife in real life of the 1st Ridge on Bold and The Beautiful....Eileen came back to YR in 1999 after being on Days of Our Lives....

A talk show would be great because she has such a beautiful and relaxing voice.
Eileen Davidson is a talented actress and a real class act. She has played the part of Ashley Abbott beautifully off and on since 1982 with style, grace and depth. I know I will miss seeing Ashley on screen, especially in scenes with Peter Bergman(Jack) and Beth Maitland(Traci) which were always top notch. I expect for Eileen to pick up another Emmy nomination next year (and possible win). I wished Eileen would continue to stay but if the role needed to be recast, Brenda Epperson would be a wise choice.

She's been there since b4 I was born and I've always loved her💗 She's so unbelievably gorgeous but i most love that they made her smart too...she's a chemist, executive...all these powerful jobs that said to little girls you can be this or whatever you want to be. While other women were stripping and scheming, she was running stuff in a mans world. Will miss her terribly and remember this as her career achievement, not that Housewives crap👿
