Nigeria is next big thing in Africa. Country full of natural resources, fertile land and hard working people. If they can work on their corruption and place their cards well… it will be economic power house.

There is something very peculiar about Chinese investments in another country ..... after sometime, that particular country finds itself in debt trap.

India is investing pretty heavily in Africa. It has a multitude of benefits of many different levels. For starting off with the short term benefits, China's reduced influence and power would help India greatly in the upcoming war against China. Then in the mid to long term benefits, the region would stabilize as they get richer. Crimes, piracy, starvation would decrease. Then the next benefit, the people there would live a better life, after being exploited by Europeans and American for centuries.

Need to be cautious and should invest on productive assets and especially on the precious mineral mines and infra should be the priority areas incude those areas where return is some how guaranteed.

Nigeria's population is same as UP but its installed power capacity is half of UP! Maharashtra which has a bigger gdp than Nigeria with half the population of Nigeria has three times the installed power capacity of Nigeria!
