I know as a newbie that I have a tendency to fly much farther away than I think I am.
    Good advice. Thanks

Yeah, that is something a lot of new pilots do. They let the plane get too far away, lose orientation, and then panic. Keep the plane in closer, but always in front of you. Pick an area that is about 2-3x bigger than you think you will need to fly as you will end up using all of that space. Lastly, be sure to pick calm days to fly as learning to fly with wind is much harder and something to work on later.

This is what i started with after the SIM. One of the Best trainers out there. Very robust and awesome prop placement. Thanks for the great video.

I really like the AeroScout! I picked up last year to give potential new pilots something to try out and ended up liking it so much that I fly it quite often. Works great when I want to practice something using a plane that is easy to fly and low risk of damage. Some days I just do touch and goes over and over again with the AeroScout just for practice.

Well done! I wish I would have started in the hobby at that age. My nephew just turned 12 and is learning on the Carbon Cub S. My other nephew learned on the Habu STS at 14.
