actually david only did some of 1 and all of 2 eleline did the rest of the series until 64 happened where grant kirkhope took over for a bit dk returns had some other composers from nintendo itself i think then tropical freeze had david wise back
2:32 In my opinion, the best part of the credits. I wonder if it's possible to use the uncompressed samples (after all, some of them were used as sound effects) for this moment. 3:04 Shut up, Cranky. Even if you beat the game in less than an hour, without losing any lives, and with any %, he will still say that. Maybe Rare didn't know that it was possible.
I searched up the world record time for this game and it was 31 minutes. Nearly half the amount of time Cranky told us he beat DKC in. Isn’t the Speedrunning Community fascinating?
Such an amazing tune… this game really nailed its feeling of atmosphere, being stranded out on an island. Ive recently played it through a few times in a row… it’s amazing the way they transition from day to night, then to day again on the next level. Or as a snowstorm is coming.. then dissipates slowly 2 levels later. Incredible attention to detail. It’s nothing short of a work of art!
As a kid, i couldn't beat this game. At age 25, i finally beat this game. This was my theme of childhood being over, fellas. It's not bitter, it's not sweet, but bittersweet. I'll never forget this victory, no matter how many harder battles in life you've overcome, because you know this moment exist within you too.
Man, the memories, being 6, playing side by side with my sister, trying over and over until reaching the end the feeling was unmatched, The nostalgia is heavy
Every time I beat the game I sit thru these credits. The original DKC is my favorite of the trilogy, mostly because I played, and struggled, with it the most. DKCII is even harder, but by that point I already played the original. DKC was monumental for me and my love for video games. Its gameplay, graphics and of course music kept me playing it. Nowadays along with 2 Its one of the few games I try to beat every year. There are these moments in the DKC games that are so unforgettable. the first runs thru places like Aquatic Ambiance, stickerbrush symphony or web woods are so special. Even Cranky's theme is wonderful. I loved visiting the old coot haha As a kid after the "kredits," finally knockin out K.Rool, seeing the real ending play out with this theme will be a moment i'll cherish and never forget. Thanks for all the effort youre puttin in dude, much appreciated
In my opinion, these are the 3 best ending songs on any SNES-game, in random order: • *To the new world - Illusion of Gaia/Time* • *Credits theme - Megaman X* • *The Credits Concerto - Donkey Kong Country* So glad to finally hear this one clear as day.
Oh the good memories... I can't help but feel full joy by listening to your reworked job on this. Thank you once again for the hard work and determination to restore this legendary soundtrack. I do my best to honor the franchise the best I can. Will make a lot of DKC shadowboxes in the near future.
The DK Trilogy are some of my favourite games of all time. The games were beyond fun, but the music elevated them to absolute masterpieces. This track in particular just brings me back to the magic of playing this first game as a kid. Pure nostalgia.
To this day I still think David Wise was an Angel sent from heaven with the solitary task of blessing us with the original DK Country OSTs.
i belive in this , without David Wise we would have never have this soundtracks.
actually david only did some of 1 and all of 2

He played a big part but he wasn't solely responsible. Evaline fischer made a lot of iconic songs and most of the soundtrack of 3
Great music so atmospheric and haunting .. great game absolute classic , loved those days

That electric guitar sample sounds fundamentally different. I think David Wise might have cut it short when he arranged the track.

Back in the day you only got to hear this song if you beat the game! Kids today got it too easy with all this TH-camry whatyacallits.
Cranky ahh comment.
😢 lágrimas de macho😢 nostalgia pura.
I like how you keep extending every single one of your latest tracks!
It's sooooo beautifullllll 😭😭😍😍
Did you notice that this song is like a part 2 of Life in the Mines? Both are awesome btw
The best end credits music of any video game.
You are doing god's work, my friend.
Fully Agree
Cranky Kong was the first speed runner 😂
It sounds like monkeys are singing... In midi format. I love this soundtrack!!!
This puts the SNES version to shame, and that says a lot.
No dislikes... Perfect :')
If this doesn’t play at my funeral, I ain’t going.
Cranky Kong the OG speed runner
I recreated all sounds of the mobs and the kongs... that's why i love this game ❤❤
