I’ve always found the French accent while speaking English (wish I could understand French) so relaxing. I would have fallen asleep in French class but my teacher lived in Liverpool so his French/Scouse accent wasn’t quite the same as yours 😂 Love your videos and the way you make them knowledgeable :-) thanks.
There’s a very interesting story about a girl named Mercy Brown. The case of Mercy Brown took place in Rhode Island in 1892, a time in which tuberculosis ran rampant and destroyed entire communities. This is the best documented case of corpse exhumation in regards to the New England vampire panic during that time. I’d recommend reading more about it as it’s very interesting
Oh my god. They burned her corpse, mixed her ashes into water, and gave it to her brother to cure tuberculosis. Spoiler alert, he died two months later.
I know you’ve been back for a few weeks now, but I just wanna let you know how happy I am to learn new things from you! Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into your uploads. ✨
This is such a good topic. It’s so interesting. I’ve had an obsession with vampires since I was little. I watched “interview with a vampire” so many times I wore out the tape in the VHS (for people under thirty it’s how people used to watch movies 😊😊). Fantastic video. So glad you’re back.
See, for me, I love his voice...but there’s always been something about his asmr that doesn’t help me sleep at all, and I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s that there’s no sound OTHER than his voice, if there were some kind of background noise that might help...rain and thunder maybe?
@@expertsmileee: When I stumbled upon the French Whisperer’s videos (a week or so ago), I could not have been more skeptical. Firstly, I prefer the female voice for ASMR; though I’ve certainly tried male voices during my ongoing search for competent, effective ASMR. (There is a LOT of gimmicky crap on this platform, calling itself ASMR). I’ve listened to 6 or 7 of F.W.’s videos now, and to my genuine surprise, have fallen asleep-in short order-each time. So apparently, what he’s doing works for me-in spite of my skepticism. My advice, if you’re open to it, E.S., is to not worry if someone’s ASMR doesn’t work for you! MOST of what I’ve come across the past two years has annoyed and/or offended-not relaxed-yours truly. (There is way too much inappropriate/disturbing sexual innuendo going on, for example)...Nor do I respond to the many claims of “tingles” and “triggers”, and generally detest the “role play” approach. The simplest, least showy, WHISPERED videos tend to work best for me; and a big trend has been toward healing techniques like Reiki, as well as traditional gongs and Singing Bowls. You just have to keep slogging through, to find what works for your Brain/Nervous System. I used to seek out the sounds of crumpling, crackling paper, along with a whispering voice. I also have a “White Noise Machine” on which the “Ocean” setting can help me sleep. I’m sorry if this is too long, but I hope something here helps! Good luck finding what works for YOU.
Would love a history of lycanthropy/werewolf’s. Very interesting video by the way, had to watch it a second time because I fell a asleep the first go around you have such a soothing voice.
this is gonna sound dumb but few people will ever see this comment. I love that you added the part about us being perfectly safe, and that we can relax. It made me smile and snuggle into my bed even more ❤️
I love your voice and the accent. I believe in nothing Supernatural, but for a second my brain went: THIS IS DRACULA TELLING US DRACULA AIN'T REAL. Love the effort you put into it.10/10. Thank you.
I found your channel yesterday and holy crap, I'm already addicted! Your voice is amazing, choice of topics are so interesting and visuals are beautiful. Great work my friend!
I'd really like to see more art videos. hope the furniture one is soon. your hokusai video introduced me to a passion I didn't know I had and I am now an inveterate collector of Japan's antique art and craft. I'm not sure how many people have found a deep passion because of your videos but I'd guess there are more like me. I would love to have that impact on someone.
Awesome video! I love the way you presented the myths by region! I live in Romania, in Transylvania actually, and all you said about it is true. Even nowadays, in my country are lots of persons who still believe in vampires (,,strigoi" as they are called here), and others superstitions!
These videos are amazing and so interesting. Your voice is majestic, I can never make it through the entire video without falling asleep. You deserve way more subscribers. One of the top asmr artist!!!!
This helped me sooo much with my book report and analysis of Bram Stoker's Dracula!!! Now I know more about their history and background. Thank you so much for uploading this :)))))
I just discovered your channel and I Iove it! I used to fall asleep to old history channel documentaries, but they don't play on TV anymore so I was very happy to find your videos. So informative and relaxing 😄
It’s a really wonderful and rich topic that connects to so many issues like European history, the spread of plagues and disease, religion and superstition, the first modern literature of the 20th century, queer sexuality, and of course the many stage and film adaptations of vampire novels.
This is the third time I am trying to listen to this just to hear the bit about Lilith, for the past 2 times I fall asleep and didn't heard it. You might have the best ASMR channel on TH-cam. 👍✌️
It’s 3 am, it’s raining and I’m listening to this from a 300 year old inn (now hostel) in Sighisoara, Romania - the city where Vlad the Impaler was born. Your voice is so soothing and it fits the atmosphere.
Oh my god?? Wait- just last night i was listening to your Easter Island video wishing that you would come back, but turns out you’ve been back for a whole month?? First of all, welcome back! Secondly, thanks so much for the upload. Your videos always help me fall asleep
*Update:* I read it! It's available for free over at Project Gutenberg: www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/10007 Depending on how tolerant you are of Victorian-era fiction and how predictable it can be, it's a pretty pleasant read! The homoerotic themes are actually much less subtle than I anticipated. The interactions between the protagonist and antagonist even get a touch steamy on occasion. An excerpt: " 'I am sure, Carmilla, you have been in love; that there is, at this moment, an affair of the heart going on.' 'I have been in love with no one, and never shall,' she whispered, 'unless it should be with you.' How beautiful she looked in the moonlight! Shy and strange was the look with which she quickly hid her face in my neck and hair, with tumultuous sighs, that seemed almost to sob, and pressed in mine a hand that trembled. " There is a fair bit of time spent with the protagonist finding herself both repelled and drawn in by her friend's overtures. It's all very tame by modern standards, but I expect it was rather thrilling for some audiences to read about such brazen behavior that really dances around the line of what could conceivably simply be considered innocent affection between two girls. The horror imagery in the book is quite vivid as well, including one scene that felt like it was taken straight out of The Ring. Again, it might not do much for a desensitized modern reader, but still very pleasantly spooky. On a personal level, I felt that the combination of horror and unconventional romance ticked quite a few boxes of my interests and made for quite a pleasurable reading experience. This concludes my book report, I hope you have a nice day.
The rich, mesmeric voice here is something like classic film actor Louis Jourdan, except even better. And speaking of vampires: Jourdan once played Count Dracula in a 1977 British television production.
I just discovered your channel - I couldn't figure out why until I looked at dates of your past videos. Appears you took a bit of a break a few years ago, until just recently. So glad I found this - like striking ASMR gold! Fantastic work - I look forward to catching up!
I've been hoping to stumble across some kind of educational ASMR, and your channel is more than I could've hoped for. Keep up the great work! Your videos are the best!
It doesn't get said enough, I don't think, but I really must observe that the tableaux (to appropriately use one of the English language's French loanwords!) you present us with in these videos get better and better TFW. Your hands moving laconically over your black table here with the books, mask, garlic, roses etc. is a magnificent visual.
My mind is blown. 😱 I didn't know that there was a format like that. This is the best thing ever because it combines my love for history/documentaries and ASMR 😳 Subscribed!

Tomas Arana 😂😂😂
@Pure Sacred Reality you ok bud?

To this day I still don’t understand that ending, why the hell was nosferatu flickering the lights??? Is it a reference to something???
I love the sets you prepare and I really dig these ”creepy” or supernatural topics but from a historical view
One of the most vampire-like voices on the ASMR community.
