Thank you for all the new books I've added to my TBR! I appreciate how diversely you read. I've been getting tired of watching everyone talk about the same trendy books. It was starting to feel like I was living in a real life satire of booktube. I am especially hyped to read Poor Things and Full Surrogacy Now.

I like that you always include some Palestinian books in your videos. I’ve just finished reading “Gaza Writes Back” a book of heartbreaking, tragic yet powerful short stories written by young Palestinian writers and edited by Refaat Alareer (who was recently targeted and murdered by Israel). I’d highly recommend this book to any one who wants to know about the daily life of Palestinian people under the brutal occupation.

I could never personally read a book like "Kill for Love," but I do love it when you support women's wrongs.

i so agree w how u describe poor things ! it feels v scottish, socialist & feminist & very ironic too ! i still havent seen the film but i will at some point, but im not sure if i think it could be as good as the book tbh especially in terms of the way the novel is experimenting with form & also the political stakes of it too....

You’re completely right about that adaptation to be honest. And also the book!! Thanks for watching and commenting as always love ❤❤

Kill For Love sounds like it would be right up my alley. My top two reads last year were literary horror so I'm looking for more like them. Like you, I also enjoy reading from the perspective of a woman with no morals and I think I just realized it's because I'm the kind of person who always follows the rules. You are so smart. Love your reviews.

I’ve actually written a review of Poor Things and comparing it to the book. I’ve sent it out to a journal.

I am gay and always wanted a child. I been thinking of surrogacy as an option because a lot of gay men just trick women into having a baby for them, marry the woman and then continue having sex with men on the side, and I wouldn’t want to do that to someone. Thank you for sharing Lewis book, definitely going to pick it up. I want surrogacy to be the last option just for all the trauma I think it causes the person carrying the baby but lately I been feeling really lonely. If anyone has more books on surrogacy they would like to recommend me I would really appreciate it.

If you have family and friends willing to be donor and surrogate could help a lot. But remember to protect yourself, your baby and your family /friend with this too.
