Nice job all the way around. Yes some serious pull there. So the 1:1 is more like 5:1, 2:1 us more like 10:1 etc...to some real pull! something to consider when a person is putting 50# of pull on that handle.
Nice tool, will be buying one. Two unrelated questions: what is the name of the midline knot you put in the rope on the 2:1 segment? And whats the music? Sounds like Buckethead
+Dave Forman : The knot is ABOK 1056: Circus Bowline - Farmers Loop {ABOK 1056 = The Ashley Book Of Knots, p 191} This is my favorite mid-line loop for heavy rigging. It's ties, dresses and sets easily. I prefer it over the Alpine Butterfly for rigging since it unities more easily even after being heavily loaded. I learned this from Ben Minty Rose. Here's a link to a video of tying the ABOK 1056: th-cam.com/video/whA7JSfCTMY/w-d-xo.html
+Chris Urey: Good question. To "unload" and remove the Rope Jack, the tail of the rope would, first, have to be secured to an anchor (tree); either tied-off or 'cleated' to a mechanical device like a Port-A-Wrap or rigging eight … etc. Then, the Rope Jack could be 'backed-off' and removed. One example of such a procedure is in the first Rope Jack video: th-cam.com/video/T61peCMrK00/w-d-xo.html
Great product by a great developer!

JB Holdway Thanks, Mate! Always love learning a good new knot!
I like it! How would one unload the rope jack, for example when resetting a mechanical advantage system?
