EXO has gone from Aliens with Superpowers to being Werewolves with Superpowers and now we have Evil Clones with Superpowers. Their storyline is like a comic book with missing characters and weird flexes in the storyline. Great video tho, graphics and imagery is a top notch, as are their damn vocals.
Casey Gallagher It’s because some of the 12 forces are missing so they can’t reunite to form the tree of life. (Things didn’t go as planned) I think that’s why the storyline got a bit weird

This is the dark version of EXO. There are theory videos that discuss a planetary alignment being the cause for their shift into darkness. One theory video related the various dark versions to different Egyptian gods.

The whole thing was there concept since the beginning. I'm pretty sure y'all know about their power concept: Xiumin= Frost, Suho= water, Lay= Healing, Baekhyun= Light, Chen= Lightning, Chanyeol= Fire, D.O=Earth/Power, Kai= Teleportation and Sehun=Wind. Ik that sounds kinda cringe but EXO work it so well that it's pretty amazing. So anyways. On with it. There are 2 EXO'S. X-EXO AND EXO. The X-EXO is the "fake" exo who have been taking over exo planet. In the monster mv you saw baekhyun and how he saved all of exo. It is theorized that x-exo and exo shit started then. Also in the tempo mv you saw shadows behind the white walls the real EXO was trapped. There main concept is based off of EXO PLANET there beginning. In the end you'll see that the planet burned and tho it's not completely confirmed EXO has taken over. This isn't everything but mostly covers this mv.
The obsession album is a WHOLE BOP. i hope they will react that too. 🙁🙁 Groove, Trouble, Yayaya and etc.

To understand all the symbolism in this mv and all other *EXO* 's mvs you have to know that actually *EXO* till their beginning have a concept, they are aliens from *EXO-planet* with superpowers *Mama* mv, they fight the red power , every songs give us a hint of the story, i will explain from the end in *Tempo* mv they are the clones of the real *EXO* made by the red power that's why the voices sometimes is like sound of machine, dysfunction, scanned, psychological tests, and the shadows behind the walls are not succeeded clones, at the and they quit the lab, and here they came to earth so *EXO* are fighting their clones *X-EXO* (their inn evil self)
At the end of the mv *EXO* break their neck, so *X-EXO* are the winner in this fight and set earth on fire ..

Obsession is a song where in they fight their inner selves, the part of themselves that cannot be shown to the world. Its like they're fighting to their different personalities. That is why there is X-EXO and EXO at the beginning.

I used to watch Exo mvs normally but when I saw obsession comeback was happening soon I looked more into the theories/storyline. It’s a lot to explain from the beginning and a little confusing it’s soo good. Since there’s so much I’ll just explain what happens in this mv. (It’ll make more sense if you watch a theory/storyline video before obsession) Anyways in this music video Exo and X-Exo(their clones) are fighting the war of their lives to see who is the stronger being. At the end we see a planet burning and we’re thinking that Exo lost or that’s Exo planet. For now that’s all of the storyline till the next comeback. All of this is just so amazing and I hoped this helped some

By the way the concept of their latest album, obsession, which also includes the song obssesion,is that there are two versions of them, a good and bad. So the scenes where they had dark makeup, fighting sciences and colourful outfits were the bad versions of themselves.
y'all should watch an exo theory vid for the full story behind their concept but the short version for Obsession is it's basically EXO versus X-EXO (their clones) which is why you saw two versions of each member: a regular version and an "evil" version. and also the members have powers (like chanyeol's is fire so you see him with fire a lot)

Little bit of an explanation: EXO's concept is that they are aliens from exoplanet. This video shows them fighting against their clones/possibly metaphorical evil side X-EXO. So the fighting scenes is them fighting themselves basically. Like Sehun shooting an arrow towards his clone but it ends up hitting himself in the chest. Love you guys!
