When you look for the word "Badass" in the dictionary there's a picture of Phillip.
Yes seriously, his S-craft is my absolute favorite in the whole Trails series. Feels like such a waste to not have him playable in your party...
The Duke was lucky to have someone like Phillip protect him, especially if he got to see his s-craft in person whenever he fought.
getting your ass whooped by Phillip was the most pikachu surprised face moment of the game. "oh it's just Phillip, how hard can it- oh. OH. *_O H_* "
Based on what Renne said Phillip held his own against Blueblanc and Walter when they've invaded the palace in SC, he's already Enforcer tier so a 30 years younger Phillip wouldn't even need those green monsters to aid him. lol
Phillip doesn't get enough love from the fans sadly. One of the most underrated characters in the franchise
I have listened to this song literally HUNDREDS of times and I just now noticed that the opening is the same as "Something Precious" and "A Faint Glitter of Light". It's such a good way to reference the development of Kevin and Ries' relationship. Takeshita I will forever kneel 🧎🧎🧎

My exact thoughts when facing some of the bosses on Nightmare!! That was my favorite thing about the Trails in the Sky series is all the boss battle songs got you PUMPED and the bosses were very tough on nightmare for the most part.
This was me when fighting him, the S craft happened right when the song kicked into gear, and with the animation+music combination alongside that I liked the character anyway, I'd never been so happy to have a guy almost murder one of my characters.
this was the hardest fight in the game for me
The butler? I steamrolled through him because I was over leveled from trying to figure out what to do at the academy. But Kilika and you know who in the fortress took a few tries.

That cutscene where the party in the Arseille has to punch through that massive barrier by hammering it with lasers while flying full-speed at it was really cool. Good music choice.
1:31 - 1:59 is a real adrenaline booster for me. Just the way that it builds up and gives the player that 'hit 'em with everything you got!' vibe from it. I've listened to this countless time, and I still never get sick it.

I was watching Ries's S craft cutscene once during that part of the track and it was one of the coolest moments in gaming to me, period. Summoning an angel with this beautiful yet actiony melody behind it.
This could have been the final boss theme and no one would have been disappointed. In my opinion, it's the best track in all of the Sky trilogy.

God, yes, this one. The intro lets you know just how serious the fight is, and the frequent key changes and sudden shifts in harmony say "the outcome of this battle can change at any moment."
The moment his blue sigil activated, I was like "Hell yeah". Also, you get to kick the professor's ass again.

Honestly, Kevin shot up Estelle on the protagonist rating from this chapter alone.

Yeah, unfortunately that battle was pretty much scripted to show off Kevin's new power though. It'd have been nice if Weissman had a more difficult phase 2 after the two gatekeepers of gehanna were dead rather than being a total pushover.
@@ThanhTriet600 I'd say it was perfect: At the end of the day, Weissman was more of a schemer than a fighter and Kevin was completely DONE with his BS, thus sending him back to the hole where he came off without too much fanfare was the way to go. He didn't deserve a second phase nor anyone care about his grandiose plan now that he's dead

whateverlol93 The first two games of this trilogy are on Steam (Trails in the Sky). Keep in mind that they are VERY text-heavy, so if that's not your thing you might not like it. The first part of this song just hits different when you've played Trails in The Sky the 3rd.
@@Fabio-ql5yf The song has more meaning to it, the many struggles and adversities Kevin faced while this song played, and struggles with his mental health and coming to stop hating himself. As someone who's been struggling as well, it's very relatable and touching to see how he and the story developed. It gives the song more of an empowering feel to it.
When I was first playing, I wasn't paying to close to this track until the 1:30 part, and I was like "holy shit" and then like "I guess its time to die Phillip!"

On any difficulty above normal, that girl is a NIGHTMARE. This music radiates the sheer power and threat she's capable of.

@yongga ap you dont even need cp manipulating items, gladiator belts or headbands (i cant remember) get the job more than done lol. but yeah she was even easier but she already was so easy in her normal battle where overdosing heavenly bliss plays. phillip was the real hard one because of those damn enemies

@@MistaHoward Sorry, that was a bit too dismissive. I say 'no big deal' because the series went to shit so bad I just can't care anymore. I enjoyed Evo regardless, but I would only suggest people play the original Sky and Crossbell arcs.

after three mini bosses which i had to go through by walking 15mins in a spiral, i was wondering why kevin's s breaks arent dealing any damage to the tempest pom
i remembered a while later that his spears had time and space elements
Yeah, I just let Kevin use Grail Sphere and everyone else went nuts (I preferred bringing Agate, Wild Rage plus craft foods or other boosts while double Guarded helped for a repeat 200 True Dragon Dive).
Best boss theme ever. Oh wait, Genuine Devil and Recapture also exist.

On which part of the game this OST played? Somehow I remember this track but I can't remember when it's played
When you fight Weissman again in Gehena, I remember it plays there.
It's used for the final boss of the trials you encounter in the 6th plane except the last 2.
It Plays 5 times if I'm not mistaken
1° On Ries vs Astarte fight (not a boss fight)
2° Phillip boss battle
3° Killika boss battle
4° Weissman + Rostrum + Astarte boss battle in gehenna
5° The Shining pom boss at abyss botton level
It also plays once you get on the Arsielle and head off to the final dungeon.

It's not remixed. It's this same version you can listen to in the music CD 9.

Am I the only one who found it disturbing that Weissmann had enough sentience to nearly succeed in manipulating Kevin in a carbon copy of HELL?! Was this just a copy in phantazma from Kevin's memory, or was this somehow the REAL Weissmann?
An aspect of Weissmann must have imprinted upon Phantasma as soon as he merged with the Aureole. It's debatable how much of Gehenna Weissmann retains the original (or if he's the full Weissmann!). I think the Abyss largely exists to reflect his influence on Phantasma just like the Hermit's Garden is Celeste's bastion.
Well the Recluse Cube powered by Kevin's stigma allowed it to semi faithfully recreate the 77 devils of Gehenna, which are basically Solomon's 72 demons in the Ars Goetia, and created perfect copies of numerous humans. including two of the most powerful humans in the series, to the point where they were fully sentient and only bound to do what the stigma wanted.
Weissman is dead, no argument there, but the recreation by Kevin's stigma was perfect to the point where it practically was Weissman in every way, he was as real as the Weissman from SC, despite being just a copy made by the Recluse Cube and Kevin's stigma.
Basically Kevin really, REALLY hates himself. :3
