From what I understand, he's actually been workshopping this song for several years (he and his girlfriend have been together about 10 years now). I'm assuming when he started working on Inside he thought maybe he could finally use it for something, but it doesn't really fit the themes of isolation, so I'm not surprised it didn't make the final cut. So glad we got it in the Outtakes, though!!
Man, I dont think so. Think with me, it's a song of a couple having issues in their house and everything happens inside the house. I think the problem is that he was portraiting himself as a lonely person and how he struggled against it in the pandemic. So, if he's showed this song we could lose this image of loneliness.
@@gustavogugu61 Yeah, exactly. That's what I mean. This song would've gone against the whole theme of him being isolated alone in that room because it would have implied there was someone else there with him.
its still super weird that she's 12 years older than him though. They began dating when he was 23, and she 35.
Why is that weird? Age gaps between partners isn't that unusual. It especially doesn't surprise me in Bo's case as he'd be more likely to meet someone of his maturity in a higher age bracket.
@@chand911 I heard him say on a podcast once that he was actually 21 when they started dating! Which is even weirder I guess. But sounds like they make it work, and I bet Bo was actually a pretty mature 21-year-old. He was already on his own doing the adulting thing and well into his career by then. Definitely listen to his podcast episode with Anna Faris!
The isolation communicated in inside was exaggerated, but the feelings or whatever we want to call it are real. Pretty much all art is (exaggerated). He and his girlfriend have lived together since before Make Happy. He also has a dog lol
This one is meant to be a parody of a Drake song, if Drake were capable of being in a long-term relationship! To answer your question, Bo is very private about his relationship, but I believe he and his girlfriend of 10 years were living together in their house (next to the guest house where "Inside" was filmed) for most of the pandemic. They probably had a couple months apart when Lorene went to New York to direct "Succession" though.
