You don't have to wait to see her live, it's a done deal. Check out Fami's TH-cam Channel if you want to know why. 👍👍

They used the hiatus to improve, which would have seemed unlikely if you had suggested it before. Meanwhile they searched for a bassist, wrote lots of new music, had a couple of babies, and one of them even entered and nearly won some body-building competitions. Other than that, not too busy. Now they are back with a vengeance!

Yeah, Fami isn't popping much (although there _is_ some in there), but mostly doing percussive slaps along with her fingerpicking. Her interplay with Haruna's drums on this track is a freakin' powermetal rhythm section _clinic_. The whole song raises the bar for modern powermetal, full stop.

You got to try the other new MV Stand and Deliver (Shoot'em Down). You'll love it and go crazy, it's guaranteed. It is very different from other Lovebites songs. They all sing in chorus and somehow sounds like old rock.

On 17 August 2021, LOVEBITES took an extended break after the departure of their leader, bassist Miho.
The remaining girls organised an audition for a new bassist from around the world and recruited a new bassist called Fami(Ba).
Fami is a five-string bassist who can dance, sing and play and has 672,000 TH-cam subscribers.
You will be amazed by new bassist Fami's slapping and fast finger picking. If you watch "Alien Alien" on her TH-cam channel, which was uploaded 4 years ago with 10,540,000 listens on her content, you will be amazed at her world-class slapping skills.
Fami had his signature headless bass WOODLINE5AC-HL Fami from the Bacchus Handmade Series when he was 19 years old.

Sorry your mic cut out. Hate when technology does crap like that.
This song is amazing in so many fronts. It is, but it isn't typical Lovebites. They definitely wratcheded it up a few notches. Fami is a better technical player for sure, and to think she had only 3 weeks to lay down the bass lines for the entire album.
Great album. Definitely check out the other music video "Stand and Deliver." It's not typical Lovebites. Great reaction.

In a recent interview in GekiRock a Japanese music magazine, Asami, when answering a question about Fami’s input on the Judgement Day album, said: “I’m just being realistic. FAMI is growing up too fast, I don't want us to be left behind.

I personally don't think FAMI is going to include crazy bass lines into Lovebites songs. The biggest info we got about her after she joined is that her dad is a huge metal head and loves the classics. She knows 95% of the complexity of heavy metal comes from the guitars so I don't think she'll add her own complexity except rarely. She still has control over her TH-cam channel and solo material so if there is a need for a creative outlet, she has it. I could be wrong though and only the album after this one will really tell what she alone brings to the bass lines.

True. Miyako had already written these bass parts before Fami was even chosen. Fami added her own flair here and there in the final recordings, but I think (hope) future releases will build on her strengths even more.

Enjoyable reaction, Thanks for more LOVEBITES!
However, the assertion "might be technically better than Miho" would require IGNORING that the band configuration & focus/style came from Miho, & her & Haruna's selection of guitarists & vocalist. That Miho was acknowledged to be "Leader" for her entire time in the band, that 1/3 of songs, words & music are from Miho AND that the other 4 members chose 2 of Miho's songs as the 'audition songs' (out of only 3) to determine who would become the new "5th Element" after "countless attempts" to KEEP Miho in the band.
As a "scientist" I would expect a more comprehensive analysis of the many 'roles' Miho fulfilled in LOVEBITES from the 'originating idea' through 'realizing' many songs, recording releases & unsurpassed LIVE performances across the world, PRIOR to you making such an assertion.
IF you were only referring to the playing of a bass guitar, which Miho 'technically' contributed EXACTLY what was desired during her 'era', AND so much more, making that line from your text a disappointing conclusion, and the next, "Time (and alot of music) will tell ... " tells me you knew your projection is inappropriate speculation (scientifically speaking).
Nevertheless, I will be back for your other LOVEBITES 'reactions' ...
Music is not a competition & 'technically better' is more appropriate in analyzing how to achieve a specific outcome involving components or skills. In that respect, Miho remains unsurpassed in her role as LOVEBITES bassist. All 'in my opinion' of course.
