Heavy Hitters feels like it's delivering on the hype of Outsiders and The incredible draft gameplay of Bright Lights. I'm so excited to get my hands on this set in draft!
It definitely feels like a mesh of WTR and OUT. For me, personally, I am way more hyped for this than OUT. The dark, gross, infection theme of OUT just didn't do it for me
It's nice that LSS is able to explore so many different themes and genres. I absolutely loved the decrepit themes in OUT and find the gladiatorial arena theme a little boring, but the gameplay has me incredibly excited.
HH is the first set where I actually want to collect all the cards. I want all the heroes to do well, and my little brother who’s a Rhinar stan is ecstatic for the cards he’s about to get. Plus as an Azalea player, I’m genuinely considering going back to SSGB because of her new spec. It’s great
You'll what now? 🐸. Something else in Heavy Hitters I'm excited for is the return of Marvel Heroes. After the disappointing marvel treatments in Bright Lights, which the company themselves acknowledged, I am keen to try and hunt a couple warrior marvels this set. Let's hope with all these arena heroes making so much gold that they'll go and spend that gold with all the merchant hero support later this year.
HH Hype is at a FEVORED Pitch in my area! Pre-Release at my LGS had to get a 2ND Kit because they sold out the 16 slots from 1st Kit with TONS of people asking for spots. And as a Dori/Warrior Main; the set is just AMAZING to me! AND Betsy managed to make me want to Learn Guardian, a Class I've had ZERO interest in up till now.
the professor theme caught me off gaurd! I'm going to my first event on Monday and I appreciate the content. It's helping me understand more than just winging it when I get there.
I subscribed a long time ago to this channel (I think you had like 30-35 subs back then) and I commented something along the lines of "I came in for the cursing and stayed for the frog!"... if you eat Mr. Ribbits, you lose me as a sub. :(
I’m just thinking about the loss of supplemental sets, and the biggest loss is going to be the loss of the lower rarity cards like Slice and Dice being introduced to the pool, that likely wouldn’t be used as an expansion slot card. Expansion slot being a majestic does limit what they can introduce into it. Overall, I think it’s better than what they had, but I’m going to miss the supplemental sets too.
I think the issue is just how thin they became. But hopefully between base sets, things like Round the Table, and other new products, we can see all classes get new cards pretty regularly
Good point. I wonder if they could still have Common and Rare cards in the Supplementary slot, they could have them as a second etc. card that's seeded more.
@@Sloopdoop Oh yeah, I was saying back in Uprising introducing new classes & talents in F&B is going to make it a nightmare to properly support everyone to the degree that people will be happy with. Many TCGs have had a problem with adding too many factions, but I’ve been relatively happy with how LSS has been supporting the different classes right now. (Other than Wizards, but I feel both Kano and Aether Wildfire existing kind of limit what can be done in design for Wizard.)
I may or may not have been called the "Professor of FaB" before lol. I spent almost a decade watching his stuff, and was delighted to find out the music he used was from Kevin Macleod, who's stuff is used all over TH-cam since it's all copyright-free
I fear the equation of "fab weakening" is shifting. Heavy hitters is excibit one, but the reveal of part the mistveil heroes...an illusionist with 40 life and spectral shields? fml
FaB is doing great. Slowing growth in some areas (US) but rapidly growing in others (Europe/Japan). It's currently being made in 5 languages with the next set adding Japanese cards. Game isn't dying anytime soon
With so many draft sets hitting the game atm, I am left wanting for a Cru style supplemental set when we get through the next two sets this year. The expansion slot has helped a bit with easing other heroes into the game but I think I need to see specific heroes get more support that have been left in the dust once their sealed formats are not the hottest rage anymore.
I think LSS has done a decent job at adding to decks. There should be an all-arcane set dropping sometime, so that will help things like Wizards, and we're also getting some new types of products this year so hopefully that gives more ways to add new cards to the game
i'm happy for sloop, it's bice to see him this excited, but for me personally, warriors, guardians and brutes are the basic b****es of fab i don't care about any of these classes and their heroes
@@Sloopdoop i was commenting on the classes, not on any specific hero. to add to that, I'm not talking about game mechanics, I'm more referring to the fantasy of playing as a class. i.e do you want to play as a powerful spellcaster who wields the elements? a crazy inventors who used machines no one has ever seen, or a person with a sword?
for people that just plays one class, their decision to end supplemental sets and use the expansion slot to throw a bone is awful. kano's list has been the same for almost two years (the cards from DYN and even this new card are just upgrades for the existing ones). No new relevant new mechanics (surge was terrible), no new heroes...
If HH is essentially Return to Welcome to Rathe, hopefully the next set will be Return to Arcane Rising, which would potentially see a whole lot of support for Wizards, Runeblades, and Rangers. To be honest, I would be super hyped for a set like that.
@@Sloopdoop although we don’t have those distinctions in FAB, I enjoy being in the control side of the match. More than control, I enjoy having multiple decisions each turn, which control playstyle gives you. Funnily enough, Kano is not exactly a control deck, but decision burden is real haha. I understand the decision, I’m just sad it makes me off the game for months. Uzuri is a good answer to control players and might be the last barrier against beat down heroes. That I don’t enjoy
As always, loved the video! Thanks for the shoutout sloop ❤
Was happy to do it! Thanks for the awesome stuff on your end!
2024 is gonna be fantastic for FAB.
Hell yeah it is!

I suggest we ban together as a community and force these generic prices low enough to get Sloop to eat Mr. Ribbits
He was making a joke to what I said in my video lol

you're definitely not the first person to mention the desire to collect the whole set. Definitely a home run!
Set looks great, nice vide man.
Set looks incredible. Love you, Bronson!
Set has been a ton of fun to play.
Very well said. Super excited for this set.
Always enjoy a sloopdoop video
I appreciate the support!

I actually can't believe I forgot to mention the Marvel heroes in this. I wanted to get it out before the set dropped and I guess I paid the price 🥲

I am SO hyped to play this set, it's not even funny
That guy stax says some pretty good stuff.
He does, for sure
I'm biding my time for set 13. I need my next wizard.......
The all-arcane set is coming... sometime
I still like Bright Lights better because of bias, but I can see the appeal of heavy hitters. Plus, marvel heroes.
Oh for sure, if you like Mech, Bright Lights was an amazing set!
I however, am simping for Kassai

Great Stuff Sloopydoopy
Thanks!
Agreed, great video Sloop.
(Shouts out to Staxwell)
Played the prerelease today, went kayo. He's such a nasty hero, won a lot of clashes and threw multiple attacks. Felt so good had the time of my life.
thats some high level video as always
I appreciate that!

Thx for the video
Thanks for the watch!
Mr. Ribbits cameo A+
I really ought to incorporate him more, honestly
It’s the greatest set they’ve ever made in my opinion.

Getting BIG TCC vibes from this vid! Same by music as well

Loved this
Already looking forward to the next chadcast too
Would you consider inviting PokeTinKing? He had a great cast with Riddlerman recently 👌
Nice Set ❤
🎉🎉🎉
Great video as always. Although I really hope this doesn’t affect Cash In’s price, as I plan on ordering 3 copies in the next week or two.
Well it's already heading up towards $8-10/copy, so you might want to get them soon
Give me my Lil Betsy’s Hat!!
They'll be my first merch
I just want to open marvel mommy Kassai in my 2 cases. Oh, I pray to our lord and savior James White!
I just want to find out if the FaB is already dead, and then i found out this video. Can anyone honestly tell me the real state of play?
FaB is doing great. Slowing growth in some areas (US) but rapidly growing in others (Europe/Japan). It's currently being made in 5 languages with the next set adding Japanese cards. Game isn't dying anytime soon
Depends on what you mean by dead. If you want to drop 1k on a deck and play competitively probably not.
Kassai is busted, change my mind.
Not going to, I'm gonna be playing her so I hope you're right. I need a good hero to carry me again

Ooh, maybe we would even see Kano as a hero in the set, given that he has kind of languished over the years.
Well hopefully we get the arcane only set soon enough, but there is a definite sacrifice you make in this game by only playing a single deck

On the other hand, illusionists have had new toys and shows there’s clear favourites inside LSS
