I would appreciate it Deeply if anyone could pray for me I'm very sick with chronic pain from long time illness please pray for me I'm suffering praying for everyone Everyday God bless you all
I thank God that my father who came from Europe, celebrated Christmas that was the only word of God I actually had in my life. And through that I met Jesus.
I am 80 years old. I have a situation where I live with my son, who happens to have mental illness, and it's his home, and he pays all the bills. And he is all about Christmas. He thinks I have been brainwashed because I don't celebrate it. And he will not hear a word I say about it. He has totally gone overboard this year, decorating the house, and yard. It just breaks my heart because I can't get through to him. Please pray for us. 😢
As a Christian the European tradition of celebrating the days getting longer again could just be explained to their children why it was selected to represent or an analogy to the Son bringing the light to the earth . . . Give them the Truth.
“They” have lied to us about everything. And who is the father of lies. But I truly believe we are not held responsible for what we do not know. And God knows our hearts. And at this point, in this world of chaos, confusion and lies, we do not know what the truth is. But didn’t God say, Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. And that’s why He emphasized, trust in, rely on, adhere to Him, the Word, the Holy Spirit will lead us all into all truth. He knows our hearts, and no matter what day it is or what day we celebrate, even the Sabbath. Jesus don’t want you celebrating Him on December 25? Well don’t do it. I haven’t been convicted of that…yet P.S. Sorry Jay, I was commenting, or meant to on the main thread
Jesus Christ died For our sins according to the scriptures and that he was Buried and he rose Again The Third day praise God praying for everyone Everyday God bless you all
Let's number the problem with this argument, if God and the owner of the channel allows it: 1-The entire case is built on the foundation of the Golden Bough mainly, and a score of old sources with little value in modern academia in regards to the study of old pagan religions. This isparticullary damning because in reality most of what they predicate about these myths and cults bears little resemblance with the modern archeological and writen evidence, as one would expect from more than a centuryof research. 2-There's a massive chronological and geographical problems in the case against the Christmas Trees: The first source that mentions this tradition comes fromthe XVI century, already in the end of the medieval era, with no evidence of anything similar before. Its popularization came about in the Victorian era. If the case built here was true, it would mean that an ancient Babylonian cult largely gone by the time of Christ somehow survived in Northern Europe, half a world away, leaving no real archeologicla trace for hundreds of years before resurfacing in the XVI century at its earliest. Unlikely, to say the least. 3-Roman religion gave little importance to equinoxes and solstices. Indeed, most roman festivals don't tend to align with any particular astronomical event with the exception of Sol Invictus. Problem is, the only possible tie between Sol invictus and December 25th comes from later sources, contradicted by other contemporary accounts, and later than already established christian feasts in that same day. 4--The tie between the Mistletoe and the druids presents a similar problem as Sol Invictus and December 25th: There's only one single source for the cultic use of Mistletoe is Pliny the Elder, and no other, in the 1st century after Christ. The role and practice of the Mistletoe during Christmas wouldn't came about, however, in at best the XVIII century and more than a thousand years after these practices Pliny the Elder mentions. Again, it strains one credulity to imagine a pagan practice surviving so long and leaving no trace for more than a thousand years. 5-The similarity between Odin's and Santa Claus paraphernalia is frankly laughable: Who would've thought that two figures that originate in Northern Europe would use similar-looking sleds? Might as well condemn Biblical iconography showing staves because that's also a very important symbol in Egyptian and Mesopotamian art. 6-The final case for Yule is actually much better for the video as it can be sustained more strongly: The Christmas boar might be, in particular, a genuine documented remnant of Northern European paganism that was adopted by christianized peoples. However, this is not only a later addition to the already established Christmas tradition but one absent in most of the Christian world. Hardly a reason to condemn a whole feast. For more information and a gateway to further inquiry on this topic: Spencer McDaniel two articles: "Just How Pagan Is Christmas Really?" and "How Was Saturnalia Celebrated in Ancient Rome?"
Yes, getting tired of this one sided history channel level research from the HRM crowd. The incarnation is pretty much the greatest event to happen to humans and does not have pagan origins
@@tr889 I fear the lethal assumption is that two similar symbols must always bear the same meaning. This flimsy case of Babylonian myths but also nordic deities and roman festivals is hold together just because these religions used similar motiffs that in reality can be found all around the world, including the Bible. History channel level research indeed.
When i was ignorant of the truth i was guilty of practicing these so called holidays, now that we are in the time of that which was hidden will be made known i no longer participate in these so called holidays.i don't remember Jesus some days i remember him everyday all day...do I fall?? absolutely, but i get up and keep going and im a whole lot better person walked away from things i still cant believe i overcame, but i have to because i did.peace and grace to you all.
Great Video answered a lot of questions I had. Hey are you guys ever going to do a meet up in Indiana? I know some TH-camrs do a meet and great once in awhile. That would be so cool. God Bless
I agree. but what do you think of this verse: Isa 60:13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. i have heard a couple of internet ppl use to validate having a tree.
Just the fact that so many argue to keep a celebration that has no substance, is full of rituals, and things that are not supposed to celebrate the glory of God but, replace our worship of him with things of self satisfaction and self glorification should make any Christian question
Holy YAH ordained His feasts. Messiah kept passover. He is our example in all things. He asks us why we forsake our Father's ordinances for man's traditions? We are grafted in. We are Israel are we not? Shabbat will be kept forever. A growing number of folks are keeping His feasts, out of love and faith and probably not so much out of legality. His dietary laws are for our good health. The mixing of clothing fabrics has the frequency of the same as a dead body. All wool or all linen has a healthy frequency. So YAH's laws are for our good! He made us. He knows best, yea? HalleluYAH! 💪🕯🌾

@@ScottStyle oh my bad! I agree with you about Christmas tree being an idol. I’m still conflicted on whether it’s a carved idol or a tree in Jeremiah 10, but either way, it’s talking about an idol.

God knows all our needs, so let's be honest what do we need to thrive and survive. Your meal, a place to rest your head, clothes on your back. If we're to live as designed none of this would be. On the day of the lord when Christ begins his rule over the earth certainly there will not be these types of celebrations
I disagree Jon, Jeremiah is talking about idol making and worship, he makes a comparison to a human as it cannot move and cannot speak, he also makes a comparison that whatever needs they have must be done by others because are not mobile they must be carried. Because they are made by human hands they can neither do good or bad and then praises God who is great and mighty in power and can do great things. This description is of as idol resembling a human form. In verse 14 Jeremiah writes "for his molten image is falsehood and there is no breath in them." A tree does not breath so the comparison is of an idol made in the form of a man. Jeremiah 10: 14 Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
In order to truly combat Wes and the like, you need to bring original source material from the 1st century and prior showing these celebrations were had at this specific time (equivalent to our modern calendar if the calendar at the time is different as it most assuredly will be). The issue is finding original source material for these celebrations that precede source material for christians calculating the birth of Messiah to either Dec 25 or Jan 6th due yo the Jewish belief that important prophets/people were conceived on the same day that they die. Using “The Golden Bough” is not going to get you anywhere since he was heavily criticized by fellow scholars and his work here is seen as literary and NOT truly academic. Edmond Leach writes, "Frazer used his ethnographic evidence, which he culled from here, there and everywhere, to illustrate propositions which he had arrived at in advance by a priori reasoning, but, to a degree which is often quite startling, whenever the evidence did not fit he simply altered the evidence!" Godfrey Lienhardt notes that even during Frazer's lifetime, social anthropologists "had for the most part distanced themselves from his theories and opinions", and that the lasting influence of The Golden Bough and Frazer's wider body of work "has been in the literary rather than the academic world." Frazer himself even admits that his theories were speculative and that the associations he made were circumstantial and usually based only on resemblance. He wrote, “Books like mine, merely speculation, will be superseded sooner or later (the sooner the better for the sake of truth) by better induction based on fuller knowledge." This is not a good source to try to debunk an actual PhD. Stronger sources are needed. The problem is no one has surfaced any. The argument, in my opinion, needs to shift from hyper focus on dates and paganism to the silence of the celebration and the commands of scripture, namely Deut 12, in order to show WHY it matters and WHY it is not the same as the “Channukkah” feast of dedication celebration that they try to claim is also “not commanded”, yet we have actual source documents commanding its “perpetual observance” every year because it was the feast of sukkot that they were actually celebrating, albeit late due to the war with Antiochus IV. It’s not some made up thing, nor is it modeled after a pagan “birth” celebration, but an actual “tabernacle with the LORD” as one hopes for the promise of His coming. Today we still Tabernacle with the LORD and put our hope in His second coming so we may “dwell with Him” and He dwells among us for all eternity. This is far more scripturally based as opposed to heathen wise men supposedly bringing gifts at the birth (which was not even close to the actual birth either, but because He is a King). Our gifts are our obedience to His commands as our KING. Again, that is much more in line with Biblical precedent vs creating man-made holidays based on our own thoughts about how we desire to worship Him. It’s not our thoughts that matter. It is HIS ways that matter. He determines how He is to be worshipped and that is the core of the matter, in my humble opinion. Blessings in Yeshua!
amazing Comment! if what you say of the Golden Bough book is true, then yes we need earlier sources to expose the truth. at least two or three witnesses. but focusing on Why the other feasts were suppressed is just as or maybe more important to address. Right on Hannukah is not a new feast is Sukkot in another time due to the greek rule and the mess that happened.
You seem to be running with the presupposition that what is demanded from Israel is also demanded in the same shape and form from the Church. Paul hismelf combats this idea in Galatians, and early christian sources are very critical of the "judaizers" that pretend to keep a jewish way of life even amongst the gentiles.
Paul hismelf combats of your very idea in Galatians, and early christian sources are very critical of the "judaizers" that pretend to keep a jewish way of life even amongst the gentiles.
Mithras is birth of the sun god. Hannukah is recorded in John 10, Jesus being the "light of the world", this time most likely when Gabriel appeared to Mary and she became with child. The Jewish Messiah!
I can accept the tree in the house in the dark winter with lights on it because of the long dark northern winters as a European tradition but Santa Claus, no . .. . Satan Claws . . .
I don't need the tree though. If the purpose is for light we certainly don't need it these days. My spirit is no longer burdened by the whole thing now that I don't and I definitely have more joy without it
It’s funny because nobody knows his birthday.. I don’t know “heathens” celebrating” Christmas.. i feel like this issue causes division and confusion on a broad scale.. that said both of u guys celebrated Christmas until you figured all this out.. so we’re u going to hell when u did this.. and do people go to hell for eating pig?
There are places that peoples main source of protein is wild pig. Just sitting kind of thing you guys teach here you guys act like if you have a bacon burger you’re gonna go to hell. Or what about the people that literally do have to go spear of pig to survive? sometimes I think you guys get into law. Rather than what Jesus taught. Jesus fulfilled the law. He did not abolish it, but he made it clear. Love God love your neighbor, obey my commandments. None of this stuff is in the commandments. And Jesus is the Lord of Sabbath so if you celebrate Him. I see no wrong. I love the broadcast you guys do and I do take too hard the information you forward. But sometimes you make it seem like people that just don’t go there are gonna go to hell or something when they live lives that follow God‘s commandments I want to give my kids gifts on Christmas and I tell them the facts and I tell them where the gifts come from. And why we celebrate it God, his sacrifice and family. If there is something wrong with that?
My two cents is, if you aren't worshipping a tree, it's just a tree, with just ornaments. Keep your eyes on Christ daily, you'll be alright. My family gets together night before Christmas, and our church services remembering Christ is Christmas eve, Christmas day is just a day off work lol
@camarneal8058 This was my point. Now, if a person is knowingly celebrating it with knowledge of its origins, that's a problem. For the ones in the chat calling it idolatry, that ppl are worshipping a tree, and comparing it to the Golden calf is extreme. I don't celebrate Xmas. Even when I did. Nobody was sitting around worshipping the tree, lol. It was looked at as a time to be with family. The season of giving. I'll be the 1st one to call a person out on something not of God. So it's not like I'm downplaying it. I just truly don't believe God's gonna say on judgment day. " Well, you loved my son and me. You lived a good life, but hold up, I see you celebrated Xmas up no to the pit you go. " The funny thing is the ones in the chat doing it and throwing out verses. More than likely got somethings in their life that are more distasteful in God's eyes. Ppl who do that stuff are usually trying to deflect. Now John and David's point was because what Wes said about it not being pagan. They weren't trying to condemn anyone
@ScottStyle when I was like 5 🤣. Oh my, do yourself a favor. Come off your high horse. Think back to things you did. Because if you're gonna try to say someone singing a Xmas song. Is tree worship you're reaching for one. Two, that type of thing could be said about many things. Anyway. I know where I stand with God. My life is centered around God. Can you say the same? Because I live and breathe for God. I'm in my Bible everyday, prayer daily 3 times at least, fasting, I watch nothing or listening to anything that is not pleasing to God, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and was gifted with speaking in tongues, I walk in righteousness and obedience to the best of my ability, etc. I came out of Babylon. Just like God said to. I have no problem with living in sin. I'm not perfect. But I don't sin intentionally. If I make a mistake, like get inpatient or judgmental. I'm quick to fix it. So I have no worries. I have peace. I know I'm walking in the Spirit. Nor do I celebrate Christmas. Or any holiday. I'm not gonna sit here and say that ppl who celebrate Xmas are doomed. It's called having discernment. It comes with spiritual growth. When I read the word. God speaks to me. He reveals wisdom to me. I know what God's capable of. If a person is doing something that is displeasing to Him. He'll get it across to them. He knew all of us before we were in the womb. He has everything planned. He uses ppl and situations to do His bidding. All this bs that ppl are doing in the chat. Well, that's not God. That's the flesh. If you really knew God. You wouldn't be acting the way you are.
I only worship god Jesus Christ and the holy spirit my concern is everything is turning into idolatry.or pagan. Even birthdays easter, mother's and fathers dayevery holiday there is something wrong about it. Next even having a picknick will be wrong the legalizim is getting unbearable. Now we are not even appreciate nature. I dont know anyone of my friends that worship s anything but god. It is written Jesus Christ says hes yoke is light
Your right, His yoke being light is what Jesus said And He would never have put the burden of an unholy day called Christmas on us. One sad day it is, I have been told more people commit suicide on this day than any other. I have lost loved ones on this unholy day.. To obey is greater than sacrifice. I love you....

The people who criticize Frazier are the same ones who are behind the Jesuit movement. Wake up.
You seem to be running with the presupposition that what is demanded from Israel is also demanded in the same shape and form from the Church. Paul hismelf combats this idea in Galatians, and early christian sources are very critical of the "judaizers" that pretend to keep a jewish way of life even amongst the gentiles.

Mithras is birth of the sun god. Hannukah is recorded in John 10, Jesus being the "light of the world", this time most likely when Gabriel appeared to Mary and she became with child. The Jewish Messiah!
I can accept the tree in the house in the dark winter with lights on it because of the long dark northern winters as a European tradition but Santa Claus, no . .. . Satan Claws . . .
Satan clause
@GODISTRUTH77 did you sing songs about the tree ?
The same vomiting of the claims for the past 20 years. Same old citing a of a couple of verses of Jer.10. Same ole, same ole.
lol you didn't even watch. Are you a bot or a cult follower?
