Best line for me is “F your hallpass!” By Nancy, this shows Nancy going crazy from the tournament from Freddy. The evolution of Nancy in this movie is why she is the best final girl of all time imo.
This movie is amazing..the only one to truly blur the lines causing you to wonder what was a dream and what wasn’t at times. I love how his voice gets deeper and more serious as the movie goes on and I think the creepiest scene to me is the glove coming out of the tub between Nancy’s legs, alongside the unplugged phone ringing with the soundtrack booming in unison 😮
I went to see A Nightmare on Elm Street at the cinema for the 40th anniversary on 28th October. Was brilliant seeing it on the big screen. I was 7 in 84 and like Darren i saw it as soon as it came out on video and watched it a lot. 40 years 😱
Just catching up now. Another superb episode. Watching TSL gives me even more of an appreciation for these films than I already had which is no small feat. Great work as always.
@@mr.decencykeepinitreal6348 it’s my number 1 it’s perfect honestly. NMOE is also my fav horror franchise so I’m biased he was the first I gravitated to then Halloween was second and is my close number 2.
When Freddy holds up his right hand to his face and says “this… is god”, for years I’ve always thought he was referring to his glove and his glove alone. Which is a strong comment to make to someone if that’s the case.
I noticed that when Nancy responds with "no" to Rod, in the jail scene, she says it the same way Roper tells Han in Enter The Dragon. Maybe it's because John Saxton gave her some tips.
I still to this day wonder what people saw when Glenn died because with the others Freddy made it look like it was believable deaths on purpose. But Glenn got straight up pulled into the mattress.
As 3 perpetually heterosexual men, you cannot appreciate the Tennessee Williams level performance that Ronee Blakely is giving. Even Heather steps up when she's acting with her. The kitchen scene where Blakely is dressed for work & having her morning vodka is perfection! This movie is so genius because it's terrifying and darkly campy. I think people forget that Craven always had a bit of the camp in all his films.
Yes, the movie is genius, camp and terrifying. However, your assumptions on our sexuality may be somewhat underestimated which we find highly offensive. Do your homework! 🥰
I thought the point was to give your current honest pick to see if it aligns with your pick from before. Dave’s over here trying to mix it up…no!!! Don’t second guess it for the sake of variety! Lol!
Well, what's wrong with Marg changing into a doll in a nightmare?
You should see my nightmares 😂
Yeah I think that was creepy as hell.

Great moment, good case 👍
Absolutely superb gents. Hyped for the Carpenter ranking. Still not had a chance to delve into that book yet.
Ahh gutted I couldn't watch live but watching now whilst working 👌🏻

Love your breakdown 🙏

Thanks so cool 😎
One of my favorite lines is what Nancy tells Freddy before she opens the door at the end of the movie. "You're nothing. You're shit!"
Yes! Love that Jordan!
Y'all always have me dying laughing 😂
Great show legends! 👍👑📼
Great stuff fellas!
Thanks Matt 😉

Wes Craven’s ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ is still one of my top 5 favorite slasher movie classics.
It's a good film;but not a freddy film
@@danielsutcliffe7876He means the original. Not New Nightmare.

40 YEARS OF FREDDY KRUEGER!
😁👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
“I hope you like that one mom” lmfao

Or he was striking a pose with his face….kinda like how only he can decide if Tina lives or dies
It's the glove.

Freddy in the original 1984 film : This... is God!😈💀💀
Freddy in part 6:Hey! You forgot the power glove.🤡🎮🕹
27:59 The problem with Ronee Blakely as Marge was her delivering every line in this breathy voice like she was flirting with whoever she talked to.
Kind of like it now I'm closer to her age 😍 plus she'd be easy after consuming that much vodka 👌
I still to this day wonder what people saw when Glenn died because with the others Freddy made it look like it was believable deaths on purpose. But Glenn got straight up pulled into the mattress.
That’s the beauty of it. It’s as horrific as you want to imagine.

@@TSLMoviePodcast I apologize for my assumption as I meant nothing but playful banter. Now, I'm very intrigued.
What do you mean the “anxiety is over”? The anxiety is now through the damn roof.

I prefer New Nightmare over part 5 and 6.
Same
