I've been stuck on this motherfucker for hours now. Got the first phase down pretty solid, but that meteor rain the second phase and the four homing fireballs instead of three are throwing me off.
The strategy I do for the four homing fireballs should be consistent for avoiding damage (jumping and rolling kind of worked if far enough away but I often took damage). Good luck, hopefully you win soon!
I play using a str/mind build. The way I beat this guy was using the combustion powder on the nighttide rout and using the weapon art twice, it causes this skeleton mfer to burn, allowing a quicker phase 2 transition. When entering the 2nd phase, try to patiently dodge the meteor attack by sidestepping and adjusting accordingly. When he goes on the roof, align yourself close to the wall so that his stone projectile won't hit. I think this boss was a survival test more than anything.
@MrRafal318 Not 100% sure but they're probably dark damage. The problem is building resistance via leveling probably isn't going to be noticeable unless you commit a lot of points.
Boss is a pain in the ass. Felt so good taking him out. Was the first boss I died to. I refused to level up so that just made my tornent greater. Getting the grapple hook was a sick reward though.
Honestly the damn things hitbox when it falls annoy me. Simple answer seems to be just walk far as hell dont dodge.. some how? I wanna point that out : my DODGE is worse than me just walking it out?!
@@CrankyTemplar Killed him with fire lol pretty much was the only move I didnt like since it seems like it was mimicing ludwig in Bloodborne.. except the scream isnt when you dodge :c
Bro you know he's moving while carrying that sword on his shoulder ? The sword is still visible but shadowed because of his movement and changing perspective
this game just like the first demon soul....it very hard to kill stuffs at first but once you farm for a bit to level yourselves up and build thing right....everything feel easy. Plus this game have 1s cool down on dodging, panic roll like dark souls is no good for this game because it will open up that 1s window for you to get hit
@@CrankyTemplar Yeah, I used the “Combustion Powder” on my whip weapon. Haven’t found a special weapon that does fire damage only yet. About 48% into the game.
The first time you enter his arena he doesn't show - you need to continue on and explore some more and after doing stuff further in he'll spawn when you return.

Nevermind, just smoked his ass. Just had to level up my Ethereal Blade to +1.

This guy makes it look so easy I'm doing the same thing and getting destroyed lol
Well, keep in mind there were plenty of failures before succeeding on doing it hitless. Hopefully you're able to beat it soon!

Yeah he's kicking my a** too. That jump attack seems to get me every time no matter what.
Dark Beast Paarl moment
bravo these videos help me a lot to learn the pattern.
I'm glad to hear these have helped! Good luck with your playthrough!
Man I really hope this game is fun. I've been waiting for it to release for quite a while now
The game just released, calm down.

This was the first boss you died to what the fuck
@@Nuisance_Bear the gargoyles and Hermann aren't that tough. Well, I guess Herman is though for an early boss

Yeah, you just want to immediately get as far away as possible.

Congrats, good luck with the rest of your playthrough!
well played my problem is i keep attacking while it sits still qnd get hit by the shadow balls
they need to fix sword texture when Eric is running, only show half sword.
Bro you know he's moving while carrying that sword on his shoulder ?
The sword is still visible but shadowed because of his movement and changing perspective
Well, actually, that sword does that on purpose.
it's an ethereal blade so it's imbued with a spiritual essence.
I get confused wi pressing wrong buttons on this boss. This is a git gud moment but sadly it's too much, coming from a souls vet
I had plenty of fails learning this boss and rolling into the tornado. I just had to remind myself I'm not Dorothy so no detours to Oz.

I was able to get this guy to burn from my enflamed weapon. Most likely weak to fire.
Those powders that add elemental damage probably would be great to get a fire effect.

Just got this guy last night. I’m hesitant to use my status effects for my weapons. Is there a merchant later on that sells unlimited amount?
Level 90 impossible
For me, Edwyn don't appear ... Why ?

@@CrankyTemplar thank you very much. Actualy hé is dead.
Edwyn? Lame sounding name. MFs name may as well be Clarence…
