I just noticed the markings on the artwork for your Sherman... 8th Armored Div. 80th Tank Bn. If those are the markings that will come with it, I'll be in heaven!!! My Great Uncle was in 8-80, and was KIA in April of 1945. I have done a lot of research through their unit archive, and have learned so much. (I know from the S-4 reports that I found online, that HQ Co, 80th Tank, was equipped with M4A3's... so for me... the stars are aligning for building a tribute to my Great Uncle, PFC, Bernard Conely!)
It was great meeting you in person yesterday. Your shop is clean and organized. It was fun being in the shop where your videos are filmed. I recommend anyone who is into scale models and happen to be in the Glendale/Phoenix area to stop by. Thanks Andy.
Andy, love your videos. If I can make a suggestion, how about having a 1/16th Sd.Kfz. 251 produced. Being that there's none on the market, I'm pretty sure it will be a hot seller and would be an awesome addition to any diorama.
Got my Das Werk U9 from you a few days ago. But lacking the space to build it, or other large-scale models for that matter, I'm having to put off building it until I can make room.
Great looking kits, just wish I could afford each one plus more importantly have the skills to do them juztice. Congrats on your own kit, can't wait to see you build n paint it. Happy modelling
Cool, Takom released the VT 1-2 or "Wedelpanzer". Wedeln refers to a down hill skiers movement and this tank was to zig-zag or wedel toward a target, gives you an idea why this concept failed. Its based on a shortened MBT 70 hull and the original is to be seen at the German Panzer museum in Munster.
Sangers Amerika bomber didn't physically exist but there were blueprints and a wooden wind tunnel model. Interesting thing is it was propelled down a long track with a pusher rocket pod before sharply angling up to help with gaining altitude. The idea for it was to get up to the upper level of the atmosphere with the craft skipping off the denser atmosphere like a stone on water allowing it to fly around the globe.
Happy for you, glad to see the 1/16 Sherman on its way! Lots of exciting things happening and well deserved! Also, good to see you making videos more regularly, I know that with the rapid growth of Andy's HHQ, you're pressed for time. Oh, and that Arma Mustang, ohhhhhh (insert pic of Homer Simpson drooling, lol)!
They recently run it through modern aerodynamic equations. There was mistake in its design, it would never survive reentry. Actually most of paper - waffens tends to have mistakes like that, it takes years of testing to develop completely new technology, drawing it on paper doesn't guarantee it will work :)
Hi Andy great video, perhap i may order the Mammut tank as i like these what if prototype vehicles like the E-100 jadgpanzer I thought the VT-1-2 had a single auto loader on the left gun and a regular manual load on the right (going off the game War Thunder) as it was a test bed vehicle for arming the leopard 2 with a auto loader i think i could be wrong
You have an excellent channel that is very informative. Your how to videos and builds are very great as well. I've been building models of all types for over 50 years now and also spent the 70's and 80's in the model railroad hobby as well. I still do a lot of old school techniques as well as new ones that I've mixed in to my model building. I recently saw a video that Lou Dalmaso did and he mentioned using MEK to assemble sections of his model. I use a lot of Tamiya liquid glues these days but I was wondering what is MEK. He was using it to assemble the sections on his 350th USS Grissom build. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Silbervogel very interesting because I never thought the modeling community would find interest in manufacturing a kit of it. It was a rocket ship designed to fly into a suborbital flight path, bomb the USA and sling shot back to its original launch point. It was initially launched by a huge V-1 type rail system . That would make an interesting side by side display to a Shuttle as they were "cousins". Nice recognition of the kit.
New kits are great but I would like to see someone come out with a series of figures in a group such as a box of 15 Korean war soldiers, tank crew, medics, infantrymen, ect. AND make them interchangeable so we would have numerous options such as standing, sitting, working on something, relaxing, ect. The limits are endless as are the subjects. My one complaint with many kits is either no figures or a very limited amount.
Andy..or any other retailers out there ! Does anyone know WHY…Tamyia’s M-6 Personnel carrier and M-16 Quad Meatgrinder can’t be found and if they are….WHY so expensive. Did they stop manufacturing them ???
What is old is new again. Tamiya going back to the well of R/C tanks in 1/35 scale. I'm old enough to remember these from the early days. Very scary. Looks good Andy.
not long ago i picked up amodle of a harleu davirson by testor lincon mint 1/9 and the kit came without tires instructions so i ordered another kit with the same missing parts up on looking for a complest i found all the kits are missing the same do you or anyone out there know where i can get these items thanks
I sure wish they stop with really far out German WW2 tanks that were never built and put out some American WW2 development armor like the T20, T22, T23, T23E3, T23E4 - the US built 250 of these tanks - which was a great deal more than these paper panzers.
Hi Andy (sharer or a great name) 1/16 scale kits I'd like to see Sherman Firefly, Duce and a half truck, Long Tom with tracked towing vehicle in fact any towed artillery or anti tank gun. Does anyone else have some thoughts on a kit wish list
Again, lack of a turret does not imply that a vehicle is an assault gun, and presence of a turret does not imply that it isn't. "Assault gun" is a role, not a design genre.
That's terrible. I can't believe that after years of using proper tracks, Takom reverted back to rubber fake tracks like some nineties Tamiya. :-( Really disappointed and hope that this bad habit will not spread any further, because Takom kits are little to expensive to buy aftermarket tracks for every single kit like when building old Tamiyas.

I was there in January of 2020 great store nice guy
Were behind you Andy!!!!!! You got your own modelling army!!!!
I always look forward to watch Andy’s new reviews. Thank you.

Yes, that would go good with the 1/16th Sug!
Got my Das Werk U9 from you a few days ago. But lacking the space to build it, or other large-scale models for that matter, I'm having to put off building it until I can make room.
I've got that same problem! I've got models I can't build because I don't have space for them.

Blimey O'reilly! Some unusual kits there Andy. Great vid as ever. Look forward to the next one.
Excellent reviews as always. I seen the VT 1-2 up close and personal at the Munster tank museum back in 2003. Quite interesting to say the least.
These plus the three superheavies they teased... Takom is doing some amazing stuff this year

Some interesting weathering possibilities on the silbervogel
Really looking forward to those 2 tanks, and yes, Sci Fi comes to mind!! 👍👍
I'm excited for the 1/35 Sherman. I wonder though, does the turret also rotate?

I don't build a lot of 1:72 aircraft but that Arma Mustang looks pretty amazing.
Check out some the Reviews and Builds of it, I am currently working on one for my local Air Force Base Museum.

I'm glad the silver bird never went operational! 😲

Andy.. once the test shots of the Sherman are in, what is the projected release date? Based on the Takom 16th scale jeep, l am guessing early fall.
I like the proposed tanks.. I wish they would the T 34M . Thanks for showing new kits.... It's been a little dry for new kits for this year.

ooohhh that M4A3 RC will be a birthday present for myself I think!
Loving that VT suspension!!!!

Some cool models! I'll be keeping my eye out for them!
Hey Andy, will we see different versions of the M4 Sherman???
That VT 1-2 looks like the kanonenjagdpanzer (I probably spelled that wrong) from WoT’s,very cool looking vehicle
So many projects so little time 👍👍
Sad, but true!!
Por que los modelos actuales no traen los pilotos??!!!!! Como extraño mis viejos kits matchbox de los 70...
Let's start building!
my poor wallet. I absolutely cant wait for the Sherman. its gonna be great over my tv with the 1/16 jagdtiger. also cant wait for the vk 100.01.
Interesting tracks on the mammouth, Im not a fan of rubber tracks but these are a very different design.
How come nothing on the Trumpeter 1/35 Topol-M that came out recently??
Why can't I find the Arma KI 84 for sale in the US? How about the Sword Centauro?
A tank destroyer concept really
Do we know a price point on the RC Sherman yet? I know the one with the IR sensor is around $600.
I want the SPACE BOMBER. I must have the SPACE BOMBER 😃
thank you.
How's the factory coming?????

When is the M4A3E8 Available, any time frame I'm ready to preorder

Andy, if you do another 1/16 Sherman...make it an early one......
More 1/24 scale military please!!
not long ago i picked up amodle of a harleu davirson by testor lincon mint 1/9 and the kit came without tires instructions so i ordered another kit with the same missing parts up on looking for a complest i found all the kits are missing the same do you or anyone out there know where i can get these items thanks
Nice stuff Andy.Question: Any word on Border Models stug 3 g ?
This is a Krapp turret and hull, Porsche only assembled it.
That VT 1-2 looks a bit like an up-gunned M-113.
E25
Finally, producers going back to rubber/bands
Silbervogel: Not 2 bombs, but 3 bombs (1 big one and 2 small ones). Great kit I just build it.

Eager to see 1/16 Sherman.
Hooah the sherman scale 1/16 is comming
What’s next, 8th scale?
Cool
1/72 model 👍
Andy can you ask Takom to do a 1/16 SAS jeep and a 1/16 German motorbike/sidecar :)
How will you be paying for these, Sir? Cash, Credit or Check?…. pondering reply…. How about Rubber?
Be the first to produce a 1/16 BTR 80
How bout no more videos til you roll out the easy eight
⭐🙂👍

Just a comment for the algorithm

C’mon Takom! Plenty of Italian, British, and Japanese REAL subjects to do. We don’t need every German idea scribbled on toilet paper!
