I spent quite a few hours as a kid flipping through tractor and combine brochures. Didn’t matter the color. Really enjoyed the video, Thanks Bill.

I was a freshman in highschool in 66 and in the FFA . We had a 40 acre plot at school for the FFA and the members could bring their own tractors to work the ground . One of my best friends dad just got a new 1206 with a 6 bottom hydraulic reset plow!! He came to school that morning throttle wide open and the whole school was looking out the windows and I was so jealous 😂😱. That was the biggest thing around back in our country!! Good memories Bill! God bless 🙏

Still wearing the home made tooth....😆
Most farm around here are multi colored....the best deal is what was used.
It's the man behind that equipment that makes a farm work....most good ones could make anything do.
We had two Deers, a Massey, a Ford and a Allis.
They all earned there keep. 🤠

Hard to believe that's nearly 60 yrs ago. I grew up on Case and IH tractors. Have run a considerable amount of Deere tractors and equipment. They all have their good and bad points. Interesting to run other brands to widen your perspective. Dealer location and service drove a lot of the brand popularity in the area where I was originally from. Keep up the interesting variety!!!

Thanks for the video! something to watch on a snowy day! I hear you about those plow pulling claims. On our farm here in central Illinois, you would have to drop a bottom or 2 off those claims. Have some gumbo ground that really sucks those plows in!

I was 3 or 4 yrs old when I first noticed my Grandpa's hand start B, "That was the biggest tractor I ever saw". Grandpa had sold his BF Avery to my dad in 1950 or 51, late August of 51, the JD "B" went down in the middle of oats harvest. Mom was in the hospital having me and Dad had to tow the Avery back to the farm to help with combining oats. Grandpa had an Allis Chalmers "40" combine, no hopper, it was a bagger type.
1970, I bought a 55 JD 60, Dad had bought a 62 JD 2010 in 1966. He bought a JD 3-14" 3 pt plow and could never pull the 3 bottom until we removed the 3rd bottom. I had a JD 3 btm trailer plow and had no problem pulling it, in the same field. My 60 could outperform the 2010 all day.

Thanks for sharing the video Bill. I know it hurts to look at some good equipment 😂. I'm a red and green man. I guess I will get out here and clean the driveway and some stuff. Be safe out there working. That 3150 will make short work of the snow. Take care and again thanks for the videos.

Ih 700 plows and 710 are common around here. We always look at 706 like a 3020 and 806 like a 4020. Great looking old catalog

I grew up on red tractors , only run 1 green tractor on the neighbors farm and that was a 2010 or a 1020 gas JD numbers too many to keep track of. He had JD B but it broke somthing in the crank so he got a 656 gas from huber up in Pa . I liked his JD but was used to IH so i used the 656 when i could. My son is a devout JD man , don't know wher i messed up ! But he did bring Lippy Bros big IH articulated tractor to his FFA bring your tractor to school day when he was a senior ,the girls loved it , he ain't dumb ! Enjoy this next round of snow Bill , Still hating winter up here in Owings Mills . Bill

I think the 1206 was the first turbocharged tractor tested at Nebraska over 100hp. I belive the first turbocharged tractor tested at Nebraska was a D 19 Allis Chalmers. I am green blooded but I do have some Ih brochures too? Nice.

We use a 656 with a loader just about everyday feeding round bales. Runs like a sewing machine.
