What a great mentor you have in Clyde. Alaskan winters are not to be taken lightly. Keeping up with the snow, gasoline, wood, water & food is a full time job. The young can accomplish it, but it would be tough for seniors. The chicken dinner looked so good! Take care & stay safe.
Thank you Jim and Cynthia for this video. And thank you too Ember! Hope you all have a great week and stay warm from this frigid cold weather. Love you all 🤗
waow ! this looks like survival to me and I am quite impressed how you adapt to such extreme weather, for such a long time...you must be special, to be able to go from the heat of Texas to the cold of Alaska..But you were born there, so ..Thanks again for sharing so much your life with us, I am sure it also helps people to compare with their own lives and receive your positive ( or negative) experience and maybe use it as a reference, a goal or even a model.
I love you guys. There's a peace that sets over me as I watch. Maybe it's the fact, I'm not braving the cold or even the daily hard work, but the teamwork, the narration, Jim's proclamation about his arms being shot, the beautiful puppy, Denali, northern lights mention, on and on....Just really always dig your videoes. Thank you for sharing.
Alright you two, I’m really impressed that you were able to score such incredible land. I can only hope that the driveway out to that location is passable for Travel Trailers. Wouldn’t it be cool to do some form of homestead camping where, like Harvest Host, you camp but you also see the operation and in many cases, pitch in with some sweat equity? I know I’d love the chance to help out (when all that white stuff disappears of course). Generators are awesome when they work. I have been lucky that mine has been a true champ. I loved seeing the weed burner being used as a way to warm things up. In Minot, we had to use them occasionally when the block heaters were insufficient to keep the engines warm enough to start up. Having that wood splitter is one handy piece of machinery. A Chief of mine once told me that he could keep me warm with only a single piece of firewood. You walk the piece of firewood up to the second-floor window and toss it out the window. Walk down, pick it up, and repeat for as long as you want to stay warm! LOL I was rather surprised to hear Ember barking at you. To be honest, I’ve been following you for years now and this is the very first time I’ve heard her bark. It’s interesting. Is she not comfortable with the homestead yet? I can imagine that her enjoyment of the deep snow is somewhat limited without you bundling her up first. Seeing Jim dancing next to the fire is always a fun thing to see. I applaud his ability to be so carefree. And yes, I did appreciate the klaxon alarm clock! Seeing Cynthia put the broom between her legs like she’s a witch and looking to the sky as if she’s about to take off was hilarious. Glad you’re able to keep things jovial even in a time when the snow seems oppressive. I do wonder if this is your property now, or if it’s Clyde’s? Does everything stay with the property? If it does and it’s yours, you two genuinely scored! As always, Jim’s InstaPot Inspiration was incredible. There’s nothing quite like watching him cooking and trying to imagine the smells and tastes. Keep up the great work you two. There might just be something for you in your PO Box.
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska yes we went and looked at everything so we will be making a decision soon. We are well and hope the same to you. Please give Ember a pat on the head for us.

Hey guys it’s really cool that you took us to your Alaskan hangouts shown is some more in slights in Alaska. I’m sure there’s a lot going on. Stay safe and sound.
Absolutely hypnotic - I couldn't stop watching until the end. Nature can be breathtakingly beautiful, as you have shown, but also deadly and to be respected at all times. Cynthia you have a beautiful sounding voice for the commentary and it certainly adds to the viewing. Look forward to your next adventure.
One of the most enjoyable videos I have watched in a while. Off grid living combined with van life; the best! I know that's easy to say while I sit in my living room watching all of the unbelievably hard work you all have to put in. Thank you for sharing!
That is a beautiful scenery seeing Denali! Thank Cynthia and Jim for this adventure. Seeing Ember playing in the snow is so great to see. A lot of snow was on that roof.
Good views of the Mountain (wow). Yes, work is seldom all done with lots of snow and those cold temps also. Good to see Ember in her coat and that you are still using the insta-pot. We've been getting some of the cold temps now off and on the last couple of weeks here in Maine, now looking at a dusting but a much more substantial amount for Saturday. Travel safe (or I should say now be safe), especially around all the extra work -- wood splitters, shoveling roofs etc etc.

Thank you Yaya!
Would you comment on the drone model you use? Pros and cons? Thank you!
Good morning Tom. We use two different drones. We have the Mavic Mini 2 which we use for actual flying shots and we have the Skydio 2 which we use for driving / follow shots. Both shoot in 4K.
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska Awesome! Thank you so much. And thank you for sharing your adventures.
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska Another drone question....based on your experience and if you had to choose just one drone, would you go with the DJI Air 2s or the Skydio? Thanks!
Where is your New wideo. .☺☺
Sunday :)
Seems like you should of addressed all these problems before it got covered in snow. You did not prepare very well
Hi Manny. We were not there before the snow :)
Not sure what is actually happening here. Not very clear explanation.. ?? You buying/renting this place ? You working for this guy?
Life occurs over time, as do episodes :)

No hope for cowboys until jerry Jones sells ‘em and thus stops micromanaging. He may be awesome at making money but he sucks as an owner.
Such a heartbreaking end to an amazing season. They should have been able to pull that off!
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska Yes, and I keep saying since he bought em they've been bad...
