Hi! This is a fellow newyorker. First things first, congrats on becoming a senior and being accepted to so many colleges. So sorry that your senior experience is being cut short by miss rona but we still out here. I'm currently a 3rd year at Northeastern University so it's been a little while since I did the college application thing but just know that wherever you end up going this fall it's really up to you to make the college experience worth while. Congrats again!

i wish i was able to have free applications, i’d apply to 54 schools too
you can always email the admissions office of the school and ask for a fee waiver code or check online or the social media of the school, sometimes the free waiver codes are really easy and related to the school like “NYU2020” or “H2P” for UPitt, always look for fee waivers! Save your money!

Congratulations!! Hampshire College in Amherst, Ma is still taking applications until June 1....free common app...this school allows u to create your own major, test blind (NO SAT OR ACT), and gives u access to Five Colleges for the price of one! Hampshire College, Amherst College, Umass Amherst, Mount Holyoke College and Smith College!
sis we need the gpa + other stats... if i had to guess, i'd say you have maybe a 3.5-3.7 but i'm so curious
isis williams it was probably a 3.9 or above since in order 2 be a quest bridge finalist ur gpa has to be a 3.9 or above lol

I’m a fellow 2020 high school grad and ugh I’m so sorry about our graduation it’s really terrible 😓😓😓 but you’re so right about being grateful for our health! Also on the part of schools this made me feel so dumb with my final choice of UC Riverside but OML A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS !!!! Every time you got an acceptance letter I felt so happy for you and can only imagine all the great things you will accomplish! You make us 2020’s proud!

Isn't that excessive though? Rule of thumb should be like max 25 schools, because it's A LOT of money to apply and you're only going to go to ONE school. You can't do thorough research for all 54 and to choose out of that many is incredibly difficult I would assume. But it doesn't matter now cause you at least know you got into college so that's great! Time to look at them financial packages so you don't go bankrupt first year 😂
I’m a freshman and I plan on applying to 32 colleges, none of them community, and a lot ivy, I already take AP but I plan on doing well, so I get into the top 10 I want to go to

Hello AND CONGRATULATIONS! I was wondering if you could explain early action and early decision? I saw that you got some decision letters in December which made me think you did early "action/decision" and I am still confused as to how that works and I was wondering if you'd be happy to explain it? Thank you regardless!
Absolutely! The notable difference is that one is binding and the other isn’t! When I applied I only did Early action - which allows you to get your decision at an early date given that you applied early. Early decision, on the other hand, is like signing a contract 💀 Basically, it limits the schools you apply to through early decision . You only “ED” to a school when you’re absolutely certain that’s where you want to go. Whatever aid they give you is what you’d have to accept. Think of ED as a contract and EA as earlier notification ♡ Hope that helped! ✨
