Now sure, looking back on it, Thunderdome/Pandemic Saga was kinda bad in terms of quality, but in a way, itll always hold a special place in my heart because I started watching wrestling in 2013 and I took a long hiatus from watching Wrestling in 2017 and this was when I got into Wrestling again. Once again I know there was a lot of bad but lets look at the good stuff that came out of it: •Drews WWE title reign was entertaining •The Hurt Business was one of the best factions to come out of this era •Sheamus was putting on Banger after banger at this time •Randy Orton's Legend Killer Gimmick was cinema at this time •Cinematic matches like the Firefly fun house/Boneyard match was so fun but it wouldnt have happened without the pandemic •The birth of RK-Bro was comedy done right •Sami Zayn's heel work was underrated entertainment •Although some of Edge's run was cut short, his rivalries with Randy Orton and the Wrestlemania rivalry was very good •And ofc, the Tribal Chief and the Bloodline really shined and carried wrestling during the time we needed it, so as you can see it wasnt all THAT bad, and not to mention, this was when I finally started watching TheGreatOne, so if WWE was unwatchable around this time, TheGreatOne really helped making Wrestling feel fun, so thats why it sticks out to me (Sorry for the long ass comment 😭)
I got back into it in 2019 so it holds a special place in my heart too. Sami's heel work is truly underrated and there was something special about being able to hear what the wrestlers were saying and the different things they were doing creatively
I appreciate this video. I got back into WWE in 2021 after not watching it since 2004-2007. During Covid I rebought SVR05-07 and made me miss wrestling again and that is when I found your channel
Honestly, it was REALLY hard to watch without the fans, but we did get some gems like the Roman and Jey feud, McIntyres wwe championship run and some of the creative match types like the money in bank. There were a lot of shit things too but at least we had SOME decent stuff 😂
Remember hearing bayley botching During the obstacle course when Carrying Chad gable. She said s*it under her breath. It's still up on TH-cam today Unfiltered. The botch botchamania missed.🤣

Four things make 2020 pretty good for me: 1) Heel Roman Reigns 2) Heel Randy Orton 3) Champion Drew McIntyre 4) Heel AJ Styles with Omos (underrated run, it was so funny and entertaining, especially rivalry with Drew)
I think Smackdown was the bright spot, seeing Roman every week doing great things and elevating the entire show like he carried that era,Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton also helped but Roman was truly the face of that era,so many great promos and matches from him.
One thing I remember about this period is that I had a german TV in wich I watched this era and every single God damn week one of the german comentators was talking about buying cards to be in the Fucking Thunderdome
The Great One to be honest..The Thunderdom had a fresh matches and character changes..especially for Roman,Seth and Apllow crews...what a moment to witness The Tribal Chief 👑 ☝️
Everyone clowns the thunderdome era but this is literally the time I got into wrestling; something about the lack of fans and quite let me see wrestling for what it truly was as an art form and not just the fake combat sport I had earlier dismissed
I started watching WWE near the end of 2019, just a few months before the Pandemic Era/Thunder Dome. I'll always love this Thunder Dome because this was the peak of my time as a wrestling fan. I think fans who didn't enjoy it where those who had been watching WWE for years already, so they expected better, but for me wrestling was still a new thing, so I didn't notice a decline in quality, I genuinely enjoyed the entire Thunder Dome era, and I was hyped to watch an episode of Raw and SmackDown week after week. My favorite moments from this era include: Seth Rollins VS Kevin Owens rivalry (the match at WrestleMania 36) . The Boneyard Match . Drew McIntyre's Title Run . The Cinematic Money in the Bank ladder match . Randy Orton's Legend Killer return . Seth Rollins VS Rey Mysterious feud (went on for a LONG time, but I was invested all the way through) . The Monday Night Messiah is one of my favorite characters in WWE . Randy Orton VS Drew McIntyre rivalry was the best (the ambulance match, Hell in a Cell match are among my favorites) . Roman Reigns' return . Roman Reigns VS. Jey Uso rivalry had me invested . The Wyatt Family Swnap Fight was very funny . Survivor Series 2020 (I loved the pay-per-view event, especially the Main event of Roman VS. McIntyre, one of my favorite matches ever) . Randy Orton VS. Edge Backlash (one of my favorite matches) . Roman Reigns VS Kevin Owens rivalry was top notch (the TLC match was INSANE, the Steel Cage match was fun, the Last Man Standing match was one of my favorite matches ever) . Sasha Banks VS Bayley had me very invested in storylines . The 2021 Money in the Bank ladder match . The Daniel Bryan-Roman Reigns-Edge rivalry was great (I especially loved the Fastlane 2021 match between Roman and Bryan) . R. K-Bro (I loved the tag team) . Aj Styles and Omos were a hilarious team (their match against the New Day at WrestleMania 37 is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.) . SmackDown was a lot of fun during with era, with Sami Zayn, The Bloodline, Kevin Owens, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch and Finn Balor's returns). . Backlash 2021 was an absolutely classic of a pay-per-view (yes even the zombies attacking Miz and Morrison, I enjoyed it and found it entertaining) Again the Thunder Dome era/Pandemic Era may have been disappointing to a lot of people who had watched the WWE years prior, but to people like myself who had recently started watching before the pandemic, enjoyed it as it was still new and didn't expect too much from quality of the product compared to people who've been watching since the Ruthless Aggression. During the pandemic, wrestling really was my favorite thing and what had me happy and excited every day to watch. Even NXT was fun for me as well. That's really how I became a wrestling fan, so I think its pretty subjective whether the pandemic era was bad or not. For those who saw better eras for wrestling the Attitude and Ruthless aggression era or early PG era (2008-2014) may want more from WWE and saw a decline in quality, but for those who started watching just prior to the pandemic enjoyed it more as it was still new. I also enjoyed the time when live audiences returned Money in the Bank 2021, SummerSlam 2021 and Crown Jewel 2021 are classics to me. As a crazy as it sounds late 2019-early 2022) were the peak of my time as a wrestling fan, I've moved on to new things since 2022. Even right now, WWE isn't as entertaining and fun as it was during the pandemic. But that's just my opinion, I know that 90% if not 99% fans enjoy today's Renaissance Era over the pandemic era and that's cool.
Lol the video idea. It's a nice way to just check the clusterfuck and just never look back again :D. Some cool ideas came off of it, but generally it's just an era of what could have been, many weird matches, an absolute disastrous atmosphere, ... Poor Drew :D
I actually enjoyed the pandemic era cause that's when I started watching WWE, Roman Reigns was just champion at that time... geez I didn't know what storyline I was walking myself into.🤣🤣🤣
I remembered watching the beginning of the Thunderdome, but went to BLC right after so I miss a majority of the middle and end. I was so lost 😂, glad I caught up
I actually got back into wwe in early 2020 at rumble when i was the fiend for the first time. I watched ever episode since and i like the thunderdome era. It was since to take a break from the normal. But it is better the crowds back there are so many gems from that era.
I was a big Mustafa Ali fan and I was really excited and happy when he became leader of RETRIBUTION, its unfortunate that they flopped hard with that one
If you say the zombies match killed kayfabe you can also say the firefly fun house killed kayfabe. Those 2 matches were god awful and killed kayfabe completely.
Ironically, I only started watching again during the Thunderdome Era. I didn't watch the shows as a whole and instead only watched Roman's matches and segments, as well as The Hurt Business dominating the roster (before they baffingly disbanded the stable early).
Actually it was my first time watching wrestling because I did not know before the pandemic era where to watch WWE so I found it a pretty interesting experience with WWE
Ive been watching wwe since 2013, but for the life of me i do not remember the zombies XD But I remember laughing my ass off on the Randy Orton Alexa Bliss rivalry, it was so entertaining. I still go back sometimes to watch that freaking fireball jutsu, ridicolous, i love it XD
The hurt business The bloodline Drew McIntyre title run Randy Orton going splinter cell Edge return The golden role models Those were some of the highlights from the pandemic era imo.
This era wasn’t good at all but it brought me back to the product after 10 years because I was stuck at home and needed something and haven’t looked back since
I really don’t know the hate towards the thunder dome. Yea raw was pretty awful during that time but smackdown was fire considering the start of the bloodline story, Bianca Belair’s road to sd champ ,edge wanting to become universal champion and Jey uso breakout year. And you can’t forget the start of Roman’s dominance as undisputed champ.
disbanding the hurt business was detriment everybody’s momentum suffered after that and i wanted to see them vs the bloodline in a classic survivor series matchup i felt raw underground had potential but it was executed poorly maybe cuz vince didn’t trust shane but the concept was interesting i wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes bigger than it is in nxt with the tko merger lastly if otis and austin mitb reigns were switched i wouldn’t complained and both would’ve been still over today
Although this isn't WWE related but AEW was on fire during this time. AEW during the pandemic really stepped up. Heck, there program back then is so much better than half the shit we get on AEW nowadays.
That Drew/Goldberg feud was one way gaslighting I remember the raw too where all the legends were there and Drew was talking to all of em backstage, he comes out to the ring talks more about the legends and then here comes Goldberg being all like "you don't deserve that belt cause you disrespect all the legends here" or something like that.
I remember that, Randy Orton was walking around backstage bullying the Big Show and Mark Henry on a scooter but Goldberg thought Drew was disrespecting legends 😂

@juts_sama it is
The Monday night messiah was so underrated in my opinion.
I absolutely agree dude

Drew McIntyre and Bayley were the MVP’s during the Pandemic Era 💯. The part talking about the strippers lmao

Raw underground is back on NXT.😂

I'm grateful for Thunderdome for a few things
One of the things being the Michael Cole / Bayley rivalry.

Legend killer Orton and the fiend were brilliant during the Covid era
It was a lot better than 2017-2019
Nah 17 was better
Early 2020 thunderdome was a bit depressing watching how quiet that performance center was
Four things make 2020 pretty good for me:

The fiend possession on Alexa was my highlight of the pandemic Era
Your Vince McMahon voice impression cracks me up every time
I agree with you on that one.
“WELLLLLLL GIVE ME THE TITLE MATCH!” I laughed at that for about 2 minutes 😂😂
This is when the Bloodline storyline was born and the rise of Drew Mcintyre.
Cool video as always G.O. 💯
The early pandemic era was so underwhelming to watch, but the Thundersome era lowkey saved it.
The Great One to be honest..The Thunderdom had a fresh matches and character changes..especially for Roman,Seth and Apllow crews...what a moment to witness The Tribal Chief 👑 ☝️

I got back into WWE during the thunder dome era so I can’t talk to badly about it lol
The miz vs the zombies is going to go down as the best thing in the thunderdome era ,right next to ding dong hello
Whenever they wrestled in this era, it felt like we were watching them train tbh
Seeing the likes of Chris Benoit, Hitler and Ted Bundy in the crowds of WWE, NBA and other sporting events during Covid will never get old
Covid was such a strong virus that it brought back people from the depths of hell, my god

I missed this era 😭💔
I wish this era returns / comes back 😍😍
Atleast we got The Hurt Business & Bobby Lashley finally got the title!

What people didn't realize is that The Thunderdome experience was a free way to watch RAW if you didn't have cable.
Randy And Drew Carried The thunderdome tbh
Not WWE related, but I really loved the AEW Stadium Stampede Match. It was funny, entertaining and it was when AEW was on fire.
Sheamus and Damian Priest rivalry is underrated
I was in the thunderdome for WrestleMania Backlash
I enjoyed the matches more when there was no crowd the sound of wrestlers hitting each other made it feel more real
I forgot drew beat Goldberg. They also had a great mania when the crowd came back briefly.
This Dude lives up to His name!🔥😂
Hot Take the thunder dome era is the one era where a lot of superstars we wish would win right now won
Part of me was hoping that Wrestlemania would be canceled in 2020.
Although this isn't WWE related but AEW was on fire during this time. AEW during the pandemic really stepped up. Heck, there program back then is so much better than half the shit we get on AEW nowadays.
I miss the Thunderdome so bad. Seeing the photo of Chris Benoit on the screen made me lose it. 😂
I think for the circumstances they were under, they did the absolute best they could have
That Drew/Goldberg feud was one way gaslighting I remember the raw too where all the legends were there and Drew was talking to all of em backstage, he comes out to the ring talks more about the legends and then here comes Goldberg being all like "you don't deserve that belt cause you disrespect all the legends here" or something like that.

Does everything have to be an “era” that’s weird. Definitely didn’t meet the dictionary definition. And even still. You know why it was weird. Covid

The thunderome era had to happen in order to get the current era and I can appreciate it.
I started watching WWE during the Covid era so I don’t find it that bad
