Funny story: I was in 6th grade and really into WWE in 2011
(I didn’t know any better) and I had bad grades in school so my parents grounded me and I was not allowed to watch Wrestlemania 27. I was SO MAD. But years later, I watched this show and realized I dodged a bullet & my parents saved $80 😂

Matches would be taker vs sting hiac, Dean vs seth vs roman for WWE title, Bray vs Shane mcmahon, potential triple h match since he was part of show, potential cena match and potential randy match too, potential Brock match. More chances were triple h vs Cena since triple h was heel and cena was face and his last run, randy vs Brock would've happened since they faced each other at SummerSlam same year or you can go for randy vs triple h which makes sense since triple h for 2nd time betrays randy in authority by choosing seth as successor and Brock vs Cena part 2 don't need explanation Brock will destroy anyone and cena need redemption from 2014 squash

2011 might have been the worst year of WWE. Royal Rumble sucked, Elimination Chamber forgettable and Wrestlemania was trash.
This period in WWE actually draw so many fans away from the product, this was the time when everyone I knew was calling it a cringefest, or something along those lines. I "forgot" about WWE for years even until 2K20 happened and it went viral in the gaming world for how broken it was, which was I think the actual reason for me to pay attention to WWE again, and Im happy to be a fan today.
I tuned back in when edge returned, lotta ppl say roman kickstarted the regeneration of WWE but edge is the one got the ball rolling again
@@wwemusic4805 Yes, Edge was my favourite and I was happy to see him in the ring again, I watched mostly during his babyface era in 2010-2011 so I never watched heel Edge while it was happening, and I liked Cena too, but one guy I knew was so obsessed with Cena and was an actual heel in real life which kinda made me despise Cena as a kid, but Cena is a great guy overall.
i wouldn't say the product is as consistently good as it was during the ruthless aggression and attitude era's but storyine's right now are a lot more intriguing than anything since 2008/2009 plus being sold to endeavor and going on netflix has helped raise interest among casual fans
@@shutup2751 Yes, it helps that people are already somewhat familiar with the product and going on netflix will help even more, and storylines actually make sense now more often than not, and it shows that Triple H really knows what he's doing, every rivalry has a reason and attitude behind it, tittles mean more instead of being just a random reward everyone gets at one point.

You should review more classic PPVs. This was actually very entertaining.
I hated WM 27 overall, but one of the most aggravating thing for me was that Rock took all the spotlight away from Miz and made everything about him.

You know what same. 2011 is the year I stopped watching and it was mainly because of this, John laurenitis and Michael Cole. I didn’t get back into wwe til like 2017
If the Nexus storyline played differently we probably could've gotten John Cena vs Wade Barret for the WWE championship on the main event.
That and I do think CM Punk should've won his match.

When i saw 27 Live way back in the day, i loved Triple H's entrance with For whom the bell Tolls but now you cant find that version of the entrance on Network or Peacock and its not even on the DVD which is a bummer. They just use their own kinda cover of it
wrestlemania 29 was another bad one, rock vs cena 2 was not anywhere near as good as the first and triple h vs lesnar could have been much better, undertaker vs cm punk was only good match that night

HHH had a hard time with that match because he was burned by some chemical they used for his entrance smoke. You can see a powder like substance on his stomach and trunks.

I watch wrestling since summer of 2010. WM 27 was the first mania I watched 😑😑😑. I'm a little bit shocked, that I still watch wrestling after this shit. Only good things that that I remember from there, are Orton vs. Punk and Taker vs. HHH. The rest is criminal.
The main event felt like an episode of RAW , I remember feeling so deflated by the ending.
The matches were also very forgettable and only Taker vs HHH was worth watching..
But tbf the WWE roster was very weak in star power at that time , Batista,Jericho,Jeff Hardy left the company, HBK retired, they buried the Nexus by Cena , CM Punk still wasn't hot until the summer of 2011 , Triple H,Undertaker, became part timer and they were pushing Alberto Del Rio but he was not over and only got apathy from the crowd.
This hurts me personally because of how infamous this Wrestlemania was, we might never get another Wrestlemania in Atlanta GA ever again which is my hometown.
This mania felt weird because of the wins. I was hyped but Alberto should have beat edge .taker vs trip was great but ending sucked with miz so yea average at best tho triple vs taker was awesome asf

I said this and ppl would say i was hating. The rock in 2010s promos were not great some were okay some were lame. They went on forever . He got away with them for two reasons, it was the rock returning and nostalgia and two most importantly bc the adults HATED cena at that point and it was great that they had someone to trash john. So even tho there were promos rock SHOULDN'T HAVE come back from like the promo on fhe arm thing it was given a pass.
The rock was extremely cringe and goofy in 2011 up to 2013.
27 IS the worst Mania of all time.
32 had injuries to Cena/Orton/Rollins/Bryan.

Wrestlemania 27 is bad but I don't think anything compares to how absolutely awful long and boring Wrestlemania 32 was, the Intercontinental championship ladder match and Women's Championship match (at least until the awful Ric Flair involved finish) are the only good matches, everything else is bad, even Jericho v Styles is boring and Jericho wins for some stupid reason, Ambrose v Lesnar BORING, New Day lose to the Lads in a BORING match and then everyone involved gets buried and made a fool of by Austin, Michaels and Foley, Undertaker v Shane is fine but its all just a long build up to one huge spot, Baron Corbin wins the Andre and no one cares, The Rock has another obnoxiously long Wrestlemania promo and sort of puts over Bray Wyatt but then buries Rowan and Cena buries the rest of the Wyatt family, and the main event my god the most unself aware overindulgent pile of garbage there has ever been in the history of Wrestlemania main events, BORING and Ridiculously long, Stephanie has a Shakespeare intro that goes on forever, the entire crowd boos Roman throughout the entire match and when it mercifully comes to an end Vince tries to mute the crowd to lessen the boos but the crowd are so many and so loud that you still hear the big dog getting booed out of the building even when he brings his kid into the ring to celebrate he gets booed, Awful Wrestlemania and more insulting than 27

I’m from just south of Atlanta. I remember when the royal rumble came to Atlanta in 2010. My brother and I wanted to go so damn bad but we couldn’t, but my dad got us the PPV (which was a big deal back then, the only other PPV we saw was survivor series 2009 with my uncle.) They announced wrestlemania 27 in Atlanta and my brother and I FREAKED OUT. I knew we probably wouldn’t be able to go but we still got extremely excited. But the product got so bad in between then that we completely lost interest and grew out of it (for a few years at least). Edge is my all time favorite so that would have been AWESOME to see that final match, but other than that, we clearly didn’t miss much

Considering Cody vs rey, orton vs punk, edge vs del rio, and triple h vs undertaker especially…it’s not the worst. Rather choose 9 or 11 as the worst mania.
Wrestlemania 27 was extremely bad, i remember that. I cannot tell if it is the worst of all, because i have just seen all Wrestlemanias since Wrestlemania XX in 2004. But i keep one thing in mind: This extremely bad Wrestlemania 27 had the absolute best(!) Undertaker match of all time. And that's kinda... ironic? Don't know a better word. The Storytelling in this match was awesome and i will never forget Triple H's reaction after Undertaker kicking out of the tombstone...
If you ever feel useless remember that Michael Cole has a higher win percentage at WrestleMania than The Undertaker
I know it's bad. But Wrestlemania XVII is very special to me because it is the first Wrestlemania i ever watched after becoming a wrestling fan. So, Wrestlemania XVII will always hold a special place in my heart.

WM 27 was my first WrestleMania, so I just can't bring myself to hate it no matter what, it was quite special to me. For me, my least favourite WM is either WM 35 or 37.
I remember I was looking around my dads DVD collection when I was like 7, found this and watched it and it was the best thing I watched related to WWE at the time. However looking back, undertaker and triple H was the only great part lol
Edge's Final WrestleMania Entrance as Smackdown!'s World Heavyweight Champion was the best thing i seen all that night. A real Watershed WrestleMania Moment. After this, Edge enters Sudden Retirement.
I think the most offending thing in WM 27 is that, it was the beggining of the fall of WWE, like Cena VS Rock 1 at WM 28, Summer of Punk, Cena demands a rematch for 29, CM Punk loses the title, lol cena beats rock for the title, looses it to Daniel Bryan at Summerslam therefore kicking off the Authority, which in turn lead to the main event push of Roman Regins.
I recently bought this last year to complete a mini WrestleMania collection I got, and I have to say I regret wasting my money.
But I got it on eBay, and I didn't waste too much it was like $6, and I was like, why not.
That Snooki match was an absolute travesty and disgrace. I fast forward through it and just skipped it.
And then we have the worst Main Event Wrestlemania match in history. I felt bad for the Miz he got robbed.
if anything The Miz was a side character for Rock versus Cena buildup it was horrible Undertaker and Triple H was the main event that year.
WrestleMania CM Punk versus Randy Orton was solid. I didn't like the fact that Edge and Alberto Del Rio started WrestleMania for the championship.
it is what it is it just felt devalued, and championship matches don't matter anymore. I did not agree with the match card order. Anything to throw away mattress should have been first.
The way the undashing gimmick is meant to work is that cody thinks in his head that he is disfigured after having his nose fractured in another match with mysterio despite obviously not being it was meant to he all psychological (and to create a storyline out of the dashing character being forced to wear a mask and having his face "disfigured") but the commentators didnt put that over, cody spoke about it on austins podcast. Its still remains my favourote version of cody (upto now of course) i think his character work from that periods is some of the best of his career.
I thought WM 32 was just as bad as WM 27. Both manias had a great match, a couple good moments, but many bad matches with bad finishes.

I think out of the 4 WrestleMania matches of The Undertaker in WrestleManias 25, 26, 27 & 28, the _No Holds Barred_ match against Triple H was the most underrated
Another scrapped thing was wade Barrett facing undertaker this WrestleMania and ending the streak
Wrestlemania 32 also sucks almost all the heels win to try and make people want reigns and has one of the worst wrestlemania main event of all time
But over all comment about it is 100% right.

4:38 respectfully I disagree, I look at it as Cody is really overreacting saying he’s hideous (considering before he was dashing Cody Rhodes, he cared so much bout his appearance). Especially bc of the fact that his mask is clear, so u can still see his face and that there’s nothing wrong with it. He didn’t have to wear the mask but Cody felt like he had to just coz he thought his face was ruined. I think undashing Cody Rhodes did the job and I wouldn’t change anything about it

In my ideal booking WM would have had Miz vs Morrison for the WWE title, Edge vs Christian for the world title, and Cena vs Taker (with the Rock interfering)

1:55 the Rock's promos from 2012-13, apart from that one Boston Tea Party segment throwing John Cena merch into the sea, were not that great.

And fun fact this was the VERY FIRST WWE show I ever watched, This was my introduction to WWE despite it's flaws it will always hold a special place in my heart

The point of Cody wearing the mask was because of his insecurities after an "injury" caused by Rey Mysterio in keyfabe. He used smartly the mask as a weapon to win his matches, even the intercontinental championship. This gimmick was great

I liked 27 a lot when I watched it. But yeah it's gash and I just liked that Rock was there and Miz won
