Aaron...brother if I've said it once I've said it a million times. I respect your discipline and commitment to our fisheries. I would have been hard pressed to not shoot on that hog and you acted as if it weren't even there. Hats off my man!
Really appreciate the kind words! that particular fish was short, although I almost never shoot hogs anyways. I take only a couple a year. especially on the Atlantic side.
❤ I'm sure everyone would agree that we keep watching you, because we believe you are the most ethically harvesting fishing/spearing man we watch on you tube! ❤
I don’t know why you would be surprised Aron that we watch these videos Your videos are so calming and relaxing and informative. U2 are a pleasure to watch.
My friend and I always know where we can catch a limit, but we almost always spend the first 2 days of a 5 day fishing trip exploring and sometimes we find things. The more spots you know the less you wear out known spots, plus like Aaron says, it's entertaining to explore. You guys are extremely watchable, going in and out of that canal, your board setup for offloading, the chemistry you two have and your calm demeanor and respect for nature is always going to be something I want to keep up with. Also though, and not saying it would matter a lot, you're not pushing products all show and telling us how great X product is just because they sponsor you.
I am doing back to back videos with the Young family this afternoon. Town homes and finding new areas to explore. Awesome! You guys are dominating You Tube.
Y'all are frickin awesome brother! I might not comment a whole lot but I definitely watch damn near all of your uploads especially when Cooking with Clams is slaying the kitchen work. God bless you and yours Aaron and thanks for taking us along for your rides.
You BETTER keep um coming, you always have great content and still give me that inspiration to come back down there . Ive only snorkled, never speared or lobstered. Just fished, ive always loved the gheenoe since day one. Yours is perfect for everything down there. Love your channel, from one fla native to another, stay Young Aaron and dont stop fishing!!!!!
What I also like is your recipes, your not just flooding your fish with a load of store bought seasonings . Your foods have more class when done. I know cooking with class helps. And your other subscribers are right, you should have 1 million subscribers!!!!!
I grow Serrano in Colorado ...from primo seeds from Mexico - they turn red . Lots of my stuff, i don't pull until it is red. Or brown. Or purple. Or yellow. Rarely green. But Serrano is still exceptional when it's green . Chicago Giardiniera is made with green Serrano.Been eating that stuff all my life.
You guys find us a fixer upper down the street from you guys and we’ll make sure the music is down low enough for you to film outside and even have you over for more content. Thanks for sharing as always
Man O Man, you've got this stuff down to the point where we feel like we are in the kitchen sat on a kitchen stool actually enjoying you and Mad Dogs hospitality first hand. Not many Tubers can do that. Most are contrived. BTW, thanks a ton for the La Jolla discount. The wife and I just got back from the Key West with a great stay at La Jolla in Ismaorada. We just love the channel!
You definitely make it look easy ! I just finished my second shore dive here in Key West. I think I’ve seen a dozen snapper large enough to shoot and none gave me a chance ! Nothing but short lobster. You’ve inspired me to start this and I can’t thank you enough ! I’ll get better with practice and I’ll have my boat fixed for my next trip. Thanks for bringing me along.
I am going to come to the Florida Keys and look you up to go Diving with you , I Thank you for yourself and your Wife on how life really is in today’s life. Thank You. Y’all are Amazing People.
Man you're killing it. What a life to live to come back off vacation to get home to the keys to go catch Lobster eat that day for lunch.. amazes me man. Well-deserved though brother don't forget it
Man, regular season out front produced for us too! Big ones too, like didn’t even have to measure them. Also, the more time I spend with a snare and speargun, the more I realize that you’re a damn ninja with them. Nice work sir!
WOW! WOW! What a great day and find on this episode. How cool is that !!! Random roll out and find a fantastic resource for some dinner and for us on the other end of the spectrum, Content.. Awesome episode brotha man..🎣🎣🎣. So glad you have been able to be around for the five years man.. Truly one of my favorites to watch on any given day.. ☮️✌️
Another great trip, on the pepper Serrano Peppers, when fresh, are deep emerald green and turn vibrant red as they mature. When Serrano peppers are allowed to ripen and turn red, they become sweeter and more berry-like in their flavor. They are harvested and lightly smoked at this stage as part of the drying process. i was surprised you didnt clean out the lionfish.
Love this video. We found a big hole inside of Tarpon Belly Key. Tons of snapper & lobster. Never found it again. Hard to search these areas in a bigger boat. Wish I was there. Thanks
The Soriano peppers turn red when they are about to drop off the plant and reseed. I always let5em turn red before picking and processing, freeze dry or dehydrating.
Aaron, Thank you for all your videos. Finding new spots is key. I only get the opportunity to fish the Texas Gulf Coast, and only once a year for 2 weeks. We did not dedicate time to find new locations. We move around as people told us about different spots. WE lost several of our “Great” spots during Hurricane Harvey in 2017 (cat-4) and have not replaced them yet! I respect your discipline and commitment to our fisheries. I hope many more people adopt your methods and philosophy. Thank you and your wife for all you do, don’t stop!
Serranos turn red as they ripen, get sweeter. Great life you guys are living! Looks like a lot of fun! looks like a new boat too. I have catching up to do been Mia for a bit but I’ll get caught up
Aaron, do you do most of the cooking. From your recipes you look like you could be a chef. I've done the cooking in my marriage for about 44 years and I enjoy watching you cook. Usually simple but very tasty looking. Bravo
"Ooooohhh...who shares adventures on Mondays at 6? Aaron n Madeleine!" "and who makes ceviche when out on their ships? Aaron n Madeleine.." "I CAN'T HEAR YOUUUU!" ( notalawyer) 😊
Hi Aaron, great content as always. I went yesterday to the Dock's restaurant. It was delicious, great service and they let me bring my dog 🙂.Thank you for the recommendation.
Beautiful day and always fun finding new spots. Oh man, I just realized I'm out of fish in the freezer so can't make anything after watching this like I usually do! I'll have to head to one if the coast to stock up. 👍
I don't spearfish, but I hunt morel mushrooms every year, going on over 15 years now. Nothing beats the rush of checking somewhere new and hitting it big!
My dumb luck led me to a 20" flounder yesterday. I found a new spot and it paid off. It's always fun to watch you poke around on the reefs. I miss FL. So I appreciate you sharing your adventures.
Great video, lobstering was unreal! As long as they are in the fridge, tortillas have about the same half life as plutonium, if they're not green they're good.
Great stuff! The red serrano chili is a ripened serrano chili Similar to many peppers and chilis, they initially grow out green and change color as they ripen Once ripe, the flavor will change from grassy, vegetal to a bit sweeter and more floral. Keep the vids coming! My goal is retirement in the Keys (one of my favorite places on the planet)--you know I'll be in touch with Madeline.
Still the same pepper , but if you notice it doesn't have the sharp or bitter bite. Same thing with jalapeños, the reds aren't so torrid (Chipotle, adobodo, ) great flavor with just enough sizzle. But if you want fuego find some original strains grow them and then decide. The hot peppers we get in the grocery stores are high bred.
One if my favorite fishing memories as a kid was pulling an 8-10 pound gag grouper off of the oil docks in Boca Grande. I was only 8 years old, and I thought it was going to pull me in.
Aaron you are always fun to watch having a plan seeing the unexpected and finding new spots to catch a meal or two. Also just before watching your video l watched a young man spear fishing out by one of the old oil towers. And he caught a 137lb giant Cubera Snapper in 70ft of water was quite a process to do that, Big Fish!
First thing I thought when I saw zero trees moving was, "Storms coming." Here in Lompoc, I've learned that when the usual NNW wind is gone, and it's super calm, the wind is probably going to start coming from the East. That typically brings rain.
I’ve tried for years to catch a single keeper lobster but they are always fished out by scuba divers even though it’s only like 12 feet deep. Shows how important conservation is.I’m heading to the key’s this weekend and hopefully I will get one there.
Sydney is also in lobster season. When a big southerly storm comes through then the lobsters move around and fill up the holes that have been emptied. I agree with your storm comments.
I’ve always had a fear of diving in the ocean.! Spent a lot of hours fishing on the ocean tournaments etc! And when the movie Jaws came out I ain’t never been in the water every since.! 😂 I’d go diving with you.! 👊🏻
Headed down to the Keys in a month for my bachelor party. We will be staying in Key West. Any favorite local spot to grab some fish? Also thanks for continuing to do what you do, me and my whole family love your videos!
The docks - Blackfin Bistro - Thirsty Mermaid are some of our favorites, we don't go out for fish often but they are a few of the places that serve local caught fish.
Did you ever do a night dive with the tarpon and watch them feed? Did that down in Bonaire. It was pretty cool. They use your lights to help them find the fish.
This channel is so underrated. Only 192K subscribers is ridiculous. Should be well over a million by now!
haha really appreciate that! we are going for quality not quantity!
Yo for real
@@KeyWestWaterman and that’s why you deserve a million subs your awesome dude keep up the good work

Really appreciate the kind words! that particular fish was short, although I almost never shoot hogs anyways. I take only a couple a year. especially on the Atlantic side.
Could not agree more his mindset of giving back to where the harvest took place rather than the dock!
Respect him not taking the hogs but more respect for giving back from where u took! Really enjoyed exploring vidz and eats of course.
❤ I'm sure everyone would agree that we keep watching you, because we believe you are the most ethically harvesting fishing/spearing man we watch on you tube! ❤
Can't thank you enough for the kind words! keeps me going!

really appreciate that! thanks so much
The way you care for the environment and the animals you harvest is amazing! You are an amazing human being!!!!
I do my best to be good when i can. Thanks for the words of encouragement!
A true fisherman, the atmospheric conditions dictate the day! Keep on keeping on!

Man you hit me right between the good ole day eyes with this one. I love to hunt new stuff too. you really fell into some great spots. Thanks
When folks ask me “what is your best spot?” The answer is always “the next one I find”. Keep on exploring!
We need more Tipsy. Literally the highlight of my week. My girlfriend always asks if tipsy is is the video!
haha I try to show her when I can!
Another day in paradise

Congrats on you going on five years! Keep doing the good stuff! ✌️👍👌♥️🇨🇦
no plans to stop! thanks so much
I understand the exploring new spot mantra. I got the same feeling when discovering a cave that appeared no one had ever been inside.
It’s a good thing Madeline is there to test all the food first, to make sure it’s not poisoned.

Are you saved?
That's pretty cool when the drone can survey the water for the light sand around dark structures that always tends to hold fish.
yup!

Awesome video! I really look forward to these every Monday!
Keep the videos coming love watching them
That first big head looked like a small black swam around the left side of it as you drove by it right as you said could hold a grouper!
theres a good chance!

Aloha. Serranos are supposed to be red. Nice lunch. Hopefully good nap afterwards.
Aaron, thank you for all your videos and for sharing.
I’ve never had fresh lobster. Those taco w the “expired corn salad” sound very yummy!!!

When some pepper turn red it just means they are mature. A jalapeño will do the same thing if you do not pick while they are green.

You gotta take advantage of dead calm days like that. In the Bahamas in the 60s they were magical.
Enjoyed the video. Thank you.
Always a good watch!
Serrano peppers turn red, and when dried they're called "chile de árbol". Peppers are named different when dried here in Mexico.

we do night dives, but never for that reason. Most of our tarpon are on the flats or in the marinas.
