In 1991, I took a class at my college where we spent 21 days in the everglades. The only requirement to pass the class was to watch the sunrise and sunset at least once. I still remember watching both of those. Thank you for bringing back those memories.
That must have been one of those required electives. That sounds like a joke of a class but 21 days is actually a really long time. I wonder… were you looking for the swamp ape? Bigfoot 101?
@@drewandcharlie7583 I have a lifelong interest in natural history. I take university night classes, I read everything I can on the subject. I can definitely say that I was fortunate to have some teachers who introduced us young students to the natural world all around us, wherever you live. It’s all about getting people interested in natural science.
I went to small college (Defiance College) and during the month of January, you only took one class. One year I worked on cataloging items from Fort Defiance. Another year we spent 2 weeks in Mexico City. Yes, it was an awesome experience.
I loved camping on Wisteria Island back in the 80's and 90's. The hippies were coming down back then living on tank Island and Christmas Island. You could easily get into a drum circle and watch the topless chicks dancing around the fire while drinking and playing music. I loved being away from the light pollution of civilization while sleeping in a hammock and star gazing. Camping out out in the Dry Tortuga's is etched in my mind forever. The back country along the Gulf side of the Keys offers some beautiful places to camp. Thousands of islands and nobody to run you off or anything else like camping close and running a generator all night lol. Enjoy your camping and keep posting this kind of content along with your other videos. Definitely post more wreck dives spearfishing! The first one you posted was incredible. And again congratulations to you both on your upcoming wedding!!!!
I definitely got some joy from this. My husband and I are homeless and have been for a couple of years and we live in maine. So let's just say while watching I'm wearing a wool sweater and winter hat.😂 but don't fret, we have lots of help and a nice warm comfortable air mattress with lots of warm blankets and sleeping bags. Plus most of the comforts of home. Love watching you fish and cook. Lots of love for your marriage and future. ❤❤😊❤
I’m going to the keys every year, there’s something that I can’t explain that gets into my body and soul just arriving to the overseas highway 1,it’s a magical place for me
It’s nice to live vicariously through your key west lifestyle. 👍🏼 Best wishes on your marriage and one day have a kid or two to enjoy the water and outdoors with you.
Very nice. When camping for a few nights in Ten Thousand Islands we just hung hammocks from the larger Mangroves. One would hang nicely across that cut over the boat.
Yes, love the simplicity of your approach. If I lived there, and wanted to spend days and nights on the water, I’d get a smallish pontoon boat to do what you do.
Love the channel. Fantastic episod. Brought back some great memories on the Indian river. One trick I use for lighting is to put a head lamp on a gallon jug of water. Point the head lamp into the water and it defuses the light.
What an amazing video Aaron…I just love videos like this from you..just taking us viewers out into nature and the beauty of the keys…also those cured yellow Jack bagels looked absolutely delicious I must say. What an epic spot that you have there to camp in for the evening, also congrats to you and paddlin madeleine on your big day coming up very soon.Your videos have helped me through some pretty rough times here as of late,I lost my father in July from dementia and whenever I get down and depressed I would just put on one of your videos and it would turn my frown upside down..and I just want to thank you for that…I have to get down to Florida at one point here in the future and tour the keys…thanks again Aaron and Madeline for all the effort that you put into these videos for us viewers…it is very much appreciated.
Such an easy going video showing the love you have for your little piece of paradise. We felt it as you shared it. So happy for you both and we sure look fore forward to seeing those wedding pics next month. As always thanks for sharing you living the dream❤
I know your vids is always on Monday, and yet Monday always is the saddest for me. So thank you again for cheering me up, if you ever doubt yourself about TH-cam. Please keep in mind that you’re making me happy and to a better place wherever you drop a vid.
I loved camping on my Ranger Bay boat. The deck was perfect sized for a 2-man tent. I carried a tiny hibachi with me and cooked steaks, sausage, whatever we wanted over a handful of charcoal. One thing I found camping on the boat, the no-see-ums can be so terrible in those mangroves at certain times of the year that I had to move out to open water. Great Camp, Compile and Eat video!
I've been away from youtube land for a few months . It's nice to detox from it all from time to time ( world wide web ) . That being said, I absolutely love this, and now I gotta catch up on yours and Clams videos 😂 Congratulations to the future Mrs. Young & yourself on the upcoming wedding ! Wish you both a lifetime of Peace Joy & Happiness ! Thanks for bringing us along on these adventures !
Thanks for the video. It reminded me of our camping trips to the out islands back in the 80’s. We would camp in tents on the beach at Marvin, Tarpon Belly, Boca Grande and the Marquesas Keys. We would have small campfires to cook the lobster and fish we caught. Plus a few beers. It was so nice waking up to the sun rising and a morning swim. I understand things have changed. I enjoyed seeing you climb thru the mangroves, it takes me back. That’s a young man’s sport. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Done that a few times on my boat even had the lines out just in case. Caught 2 lovely muttons just as the sun started coming up. My boat is just a slight upgrade from yours; Hydra-Sports center console. Slept like a baby on the bow cushions. This video brought back good memories. 🤙
I've camped on my boat and although I knew it was secure, I still ended up waking up every half hour to make sure I didnt move. I strapped a glow stick to a branch on the shore so I'd have a quick easy reference to look at in the dark to make sure I hadn't moved. Wasnt the most restful night, thats for sure!
The weather is here, I wish you were beautiful 🤣 I always liked that bumper sticker in my days in South Miami. That and, Welcome to Miami, now go home. I left for the last time in 90. It was an absolute pleasure growing up in old Miami back in the 60-80's, and a 20 minute bike ride to Gables by the Sea, and Snapper Creek Canal. They were just building Gables by the Sea off Old Cutler Road. Great memories and you always bring back the good ones. Wisdom 13:1-9 ✌️
Watching your videos helps me get ideas for this project I’m working rn…I’m converting a sailboat into a skiff…so many components I don’t think of I find in your vids 🔥
Love me some boat sleepin. Usually in the glades. I got a tent cot that really made it nice with the bugs and all. Hard to beat those early wake ups in the boonies. Good video and cool rig ya put together. 👍🏻
Ok. I wasn’t going to the keys this winter in my trawler because I’m an old man now. But I’m buying a drone and heading south. Like you said, “it never gets old”.
Yeah, you said they call those no-see-ums something else in other parts of the world. I like to call them 'flying teeth'! They're so big in the Bahamas they look like course ground pepper! Brutal........
Great video Aaron! That drone shot of the sunset was absolutely stunning. Can't beat camping on the water but one thing I can't stand are the no-see-ums. If there wasn't a breeze to keep them at bay, it would drive me insane!
Think i saw your twin boat tonight west of Marathon. Same setup as yours with controls up front. Good to be back down here! Headed out of Stock island Wednesday to fish.
I do warm weather camping often here in Thailand. One thing that surprisingly comes in handy is this sheet of fabric I got in Peru. I don’t know what it’s called. The Quechuan women sling them over their backs and use them to carry stuff. But it’s light and it dries very quick, packs small and is good with blocking wind. It’s a great warm camping sleeping sheet/blanket.
Aaron, hope this wasn't bachelor's night out. LOL JUST KIDDING. ALWAYS GET A GREAT VIBE WHEN WATCHING YOUR LIFE ON VID, HUGS TO YOU BOTH, BOB & DARLENE LITTLE.
I’ve spent some time in the Upper Keys, including overnight stays on boats. Once the mosquitoes find you, they can be relentless and never ending. It’s beautiful but not for everyone. As you know I’m sure.
Love cured salmon. I've never tried any other fish for some reason. Thanks for the inspiration to try some other fish. Looked like a super chill place to crash for the night.

I wanna take that class!

The smile on Madeleines face when you were talking about the wedding was priceless. Cheers to a lifetime of love and happiness.🥂
A good teacher is like a candle it consumes itself to light the way for others.
Great video, climbing through the mangroves with a beer in hand just spoke to my soul
haha right! I couldn't help myself!
This is amazingly awesome. I would love to do this
Enjoyed. So sheltered, so peaceful and calming in there.
I definitely got some joy from this. My husband and I are homeless and have been for a couple of years and we live in maine. I really enjoy watching these, it definitely helps me destress after a rough Monday! Thanks Aaron!
Its a good day when Key West Waterman drops a vid.
🙏

I’m going to the keys every year, there’s something that I can’t explain that gets into my body and soul just arriving to the overseas highway 1,it’s a magical place for me
Nice start to the week,a little on water overnight adventure.
Loved the simplicity of this outing, the design of the boat, and the weather stayed perfect for you! Thank you for sharing.
It’s nice to live vicariously through your key west lifestyle. 👍🏼
Best wishes on your marriage and one day have a kid or two to enjoy the water and outdoors with you.
I love that you drop a video on Monday. It's like a reward for starting the week well.
Just awesome! Cant tell you how climbing through the mangroves sparked so many memories !😁
awwww...Tipsy in the cone of shame. Poor girl, please giver her pats.
Amazing shot of the sun set and water keep it up
Towels as pillows. Saves space for sure.Thanks.
indeed!

Cheers to not being picky about beer.
My personal favorites - FREE, COLD and NEXT!
😂
I could put the sound of the sunrise time lapse on repeat and just fall asleep! Camping rocks!
haha
As an old school backpacker, I'm digging your becoming one with the mangroves. Enjoyed.
Love the channel. Fantastic episod. Brought back some great memories on the Indian river. One trick I use for lighting is to put a head lamp on a gallon jug of water. Point the head lamp into the water and it defuses the light.
Congrats and well done on the boat. Glad it worked out for you. Don't forget a wee blanket as cooler wx approaches. Enjoy!

Thanks Capt Dibs for sharing with us. Beautiful scenery.
The aerial views impressive too! Looking forward to viewing your next show
Them no-see em , will rock your world in them mangroves.
Glad she is on the mend!! Thanks again for another awesome show!

Aaron, my favorite part of being on the water is when I hear the water gently slapping the hull of my boat. No one around just nature.
I know your vids is always on Monday, and yet Monday always is the saddest for me. So thank you again for cheering me up, if you ever doubt yourself about TH-cam. Please keep in mind that you’re making me happy and to a better place wherever you drop a vid.

Thanks for a very relaxing video. Think I'll head on to bed.
That was a awesome sunrise A+
Good shit
Calming video but I feel like you could just chill on the boat right behind your house. 🤣😂🤣🤷🏽♂️
Love me some boat sleepin. Usually in the glades. I got a tent cot that really made it nice with the bugs and all. Hard to beat those early wake ups in the boonies. Good video and cool rig ya put together. 👍🏻
Been there done that ,wish I could still do that. Grew up there in 60s. Enjoy.
Looks like a great place for a hammock.
Cool video. Looks like a great spot to use a hammock in there. More comfortable than the hard floor for sure.
grew up in key largo and various locals in south Florida. Keep the lifestyle alive 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Very scenic and peaceful 🙌
🙏
What a relaxing trip, thanks for taking us along. Might be my fave video yet.
Good job beautiful sunset

Delilah is the only thing missing from a successful boat camping trip...and maybe some mullet roe
Sweet Florida nature!😎👍
Yeah, you said they call those no-see-ums something else in other parts of the world. I like to call them 'flying teeth'! They're so big in the Bahamas they look like course ground pepper! Brutal........
Favorite insect repellent? I like Avon SkinSoSoft. 😃👍👏👏👏

perfect camping spot.
🙏
cruised out to content key from Bahia Honda back in the 90's to camp. The mosquitos and noseeums were so bad had to move away.
Even though I didn't get the notifaction, I'm gald I found it! Such a beatiful evening. I can't stand the no seeums 😂
I wish. I’m in Iowa and the temps have dropped.
stay warm!
I'm a Key largo creek fanatic..I've done the same thing in all the Creeks around the ocean reef club..
I’ve spent some time in the Upper Keys, including overnight stays on boats. Once the mosquitoes find you, they can be relentless and never ending. It’s beautiful but not for everyone. As you know I’m sure.
Beautiful,enjoy
That place is incredible. So nice and calm. Nice
Great change of pace with this video. I always look forward to Mondays.
So much fun is thrown a top water lure. That's pretty dawn, you overslept a little water
Camping in key west! Awesome as always. These are my favorites of yours
🙏
This looks supreme
A couple of those packable hammocks would be perfect for those mangroves.
they would for sure!
Every time I see a dog in one of those cones, I can't help but think about Cheech Marin in the straight jacket. 😀
😂
It's always nice to unplug
I have so many great things to say about this video, but I will say Enjoy Paradise! That was Awesome!
Again always like to ride along with your adventures
Glad to hear it!
Amazing spot, Dibs. I was waiting for a boat camping but that little river overnight was something else. Thanks!
Love cured salmon. I've never tried any other fish for some reason. Thanks for the inspiration to try some other fish. Looked like a super chill place to crash for the night.
I have always wondered if it was possible to go for a little walk in the Mangroves, I guess this shows that it is possible.
love your style keep the incredible vids coming! so nice to see someone on youtube thats so grounded in decency
