Hello from the UK. I recently swapped in my 94' Fireblade for a 2018 883 in grey denim. I had done 20 years on the Blade and being 68 now had decided to slow and just 'rumble' along the road
instead.
The 83's name is Lois and I just love the way she looks and feels. She has stage 1 and V and H short shots.
Well done HD. It took a lot to
persuade me to let the Blade
go. I could have gone for a bigger Harley, but in my opinion the 883 is the best looking and as I no longer do several hour trips, she suits my needs.
I got mine in April, 2022. It is my very first bike and I love it. It is a little expensive for a bike to learn to ride, but it is totally worth every dollar. I am looking forward to enjoying this ride for many years!

I want one with forward controls back seat and luggage rack ... And hwy bar to stretch my feet out on .... Maybe a small sport shield
They should keep making this bike in the future with the air cooled motor. 4 less cost without radiator water pump thermostat and radiator fluid is why I got a sporster
i agree. no better introductory bike to harley davidson than the sportster. gives people confidence to upgrade to the larger bikes.

i love my sportster. i will never sell it. but it is not a great long distance bike so keep that in mind if you are new to riding and have big plans to go cross country or something.
What makes it not great? I like the bike and want to get one. But according to my math I'm traveling about 900 miles (GA to NY) and will have to stop for gas about 6 times. Anything else?

What color code is this one ? Im whant to paint My own its curently just Matt black with out clear sealer and it just gets so easy scrats up
Gunship Gray was the popular gray from 2022. You can actually directly order the exact paint from your local H-D dealership. We hope to see you!
I like the 883s but will never buy a blacked out bike no matter who makes it. The one featured needs the front & the rear fenders to be lower or extended around the tire. Too bad it doesn't start or be ridden in this video. If you want to sell, make sure you show what this bike is capable of-(that means riding it).
Interesting how on earth in America this can be a new riders very first bike.. the 883 would be a third bike after previous graded tests.. 12bhp and 47bhp

It wasn't quite available at the time of the video, but if you are looking for something even lighter, the Nightster now sits at 481 lbs in running order.
