    Q:What camera do you use?
    A: I use the Go Pro Hero 7 Black Edition primarily. Often times you will see auxillary cameras in use. Those cameras include The Go Pro Hero 6, Hero, and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum
    Q: How big Is your rotator?
    A: It is a 50 ton Miller Industries Vulcan 950
    Q: Does the carriage slide back like Ron Pratt's?
    A: No, the carriage doesn't slide back due to strict weight laws in California. The sliding carriage will make the truck to heavy in CA
    Q: Why do you only have 3 winches on the rotator?
    A: Comes down to weight again as stated above
    Q: How many trucks Does Plaza Towing have?
    A: Currently more than 30
    Q: Why must the driveshaft be removed to tow a vehicle?
    A: When vehicles are not running the transmission is not receiving circulating lubricant. If the driveshaft is left installed, the transmission, which is not receiving lubricant, is still spinning. This allows it to get very hot which eventually will cause major damage to the transmission. Therefore, removing the driveshaft completely eliminates the transmission from spinning. Simply leaving it in neutral is not sufficient since the transmission still spins in neutral.

    I've always backed the 938 on to the drop-decks. I hope I wasn't doing it wrong.

      Either is fine. Just personal preference. Any bigger loader then it would matter in terms of scaling

    Put a wireless backup camera on the tractor that you can view on your phone to watch the drive up the trailer.

    If you would have taken the white pete and the three axle landoll would it have been possible to load the kubota excavator aswell and take both machines at once?

  • @edwinschlee8374
    @edwinschlee8374 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sounds like that thing could use some brake work.

    It sounds like someone forgot to lubricate the brake adjusters. Sad that's a fairly new machine. God bless

    Were you not able to haul them both at once because of the weight?

    Hey Trent, loving the videos! Just wondering - the recent videos haven't been showing the whole process like some of the older ones. This episode you only show loading but not unloading, two episode or so ago you only showed unloading. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, as I love everything you post, I'm just curious about what has changed.

    Hey Trent, do you ever cross your chains to tie down the equipment? If I am saying that correctly. Still love the video.

    • @plazatowing
      @plazatowing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, unless it is an excavator that is overhanging. Otherwise I do not believe in crossing chains. Thank you for watching

    Do You know you're supposed to use the articulation bar? keep the machine from articulating during transport. It's the orange bar on the steps

    • @plazatowing
      @plazatowing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chained down, it will not articulate but yes it can absolutely be used. Thank you for watching

      @@plazatowing I've been hauling equipment and oversized equipment for 12 years now OTR. About two years back I was hauling Hitachi wheel loader about that size. had a chain down almost exactly how you have a chain down. Got put out of service in Florida for the articulation bar. fmcsa 393.130 if you want to look it up. Love the videos keep them coming!
