There was neither Andhra pradesh(A.P.) nor Tamilnadu at that time. Yes his ancesotrs were migrants from Cumbum village/Taluk (which is presently in Prakasham district, A.P. state) and his mother tongue was Telugu. And pls note that Telugu is the mother tongue and Official Language in current A.P. and Telangana telugu states. Among, Tyagayya's thousands of great compositions, pancharatna kritis are most famous and they are... Jagadanandakaraka, Dudukugala Nanne, Sadhinchene O manasa, Kanakana Ruchira, Endaro Mahanubhavulu (The most favourite song by classical singers). Jagadanandakaraka was composed in Sanskrit. The rest are all in Telugu.
