Hee Haw aired from 1969-1997 and Roy was multi talented. His monocle was Super Picker. I loved all the regulars and guests that appeared. I particularly liked Roys duets with Glen Campbell " great guitar picker" and with Buck Trent doing dueling Banjos. One of best comedy hours ever in it's day.

Roy Clark was a very talented entertainer. Hee Haw was on from 1969-1997. I believe Roy Clark was on the series through the run of the show. I will suggest some of my favorites by Roy:
    Singing-- Thank God and Greyhound
    Guitar Skills:
    12th Street Rag
    Folsom Prison Blues
    Malaguena
Orange Blossom Special (Duet with Johnny Cash)
Thanks for a reaction to a truly talented singer.

Roy Clark was a great entertainer, humble man & super talented. He was both a singer & musician. His guitar & banjo playing are legendary. A lot of musicians & artists today could learn a lot from his style & technique. Quite a few people have covered this song "Yesterday When I Was Young", but I really like Roy's hit version from 1969. The song is a somber recollection of a wasted youth that led to a lonely adulthood.

Maybe the most talented musician America ever produced.

He had this on vinyl in 1969. He was more known for his playing skills not for his vocals. He had a show in Branson Missouri.

    Roy had other hit songs,
"Thank God & Greyhound you're gone,"
    "The tip of my finger,"
"I never pick cotton." Are a few. Yes, he had a great voice. Very talented man. Watched Hee Haw every Saturday night.
1992 Hee Haw ended. They ruined the show by trying to update it & starting to get rid of some of the original cast members.
Also Roy sang a lot on the show. Plus, he was in the Gospel quartet they did toward the end of the show. Buck Owens left the show to retire & l'm pretty sure Roy was with the show til it ended.

You should check out Loretta Lynn singing Fist City and Ruby's Stool. They're awesome.
