- #CJMowing Hi Everyone! A subscriber to CJ Mowing reached out and asked if we could help this 80 year old disabled women fighting to keep her home in need of lawn care after her lousy lawn lady DUMPED her after 5 years of service. The homeowner explained that there was always something going on making it hard for the lousy lawn lady to keep a regular schedule.
The homeowner is already struggling to make ends meet as the cost of living has increased even for the most basic of needs. We spent a couple hours visiting and exchanged many stories. We offered to mow the lawn absolutely FREE to which she was very happy and thankful for but also very happy and shocked with the results! Hope you all enjoy this video!

Kudos to your mom . I'm 74 and at one time in my life I could do what she's doing. I miss those hot sticky productive days in a yard. I used to mow the city ditch in front of my house and one neighbors yard with my little craftsman riding mower. I loved it. ❤

She's got a big lot & too much to maintain. Not a bad idea to speak to a realtor to get info on splitting the parcel. If she sold that, she'd have a safety net & pay off debt.

Hard workers with great personalities, can’t beat that. The home owner is in a dire situation. Huge yard and huge house. She has to figure out how to maintain both on half the income she had when her husband was alive. I hope she finds the help she needs.
I can really identify with that lady. We had just found this land and had a house moved over twenty miles and put on it to save the house from being torn down due to street widening. We had just finished having the remodeling almost completed with a big deck and front porch when she was told she had terminal cancer. She never got to see the house totally finished. That left me with a two income budget with only one income. That was twenty four years ago and I'm still working to get everything paid off and still maintain the property. I have been retired for the past thirteen years and like her, I am a senior that is handicapped so life isn't easy. I am SO glad somebody was able to set up a GoFundMe account for her. Hopefully it will bring her enough money that she can stop worrying about how to pay her house payment as well as her other bills. Thank you both for stepping in to help her and get her yard cleaned and mowed. That has to have raised her spirits a lot.
She should be getting her deceased husband's pension? Maybe get a roommate, rent a room, ask for assistance with house.sell house and live off proceeds.

No one gets pensions anymore. You get your 401k if you have anything left in it. And women usually get only a portion, not half of what the man received. So it's hard outliving your husband. And it's hard outliving your wife. No more money. No more support mentally or physically to keep you both going.
This makes me sad and angry that our seniors who have lived long lives cannot keep up with their homes’ expenses. This should not be the case. I hope someone with authority reaches out and gets her help. I am glad she has her dog to keep her company. She probably takes care of the dog before herself. My mom was the same way. We had a huge yard..probably an acre and a half. She kept it really nice. Had lots of flowers too. You guys did a beautiful job. Thanks for helping this woman out.❤
That was quite a large property. Though by looking at it, you'd think it was a simple mow. Boy did you show us just how much work it took to do such a beautiful job for this lady. She personifies the plight of so many seniors who have lost their spouses and struggle to live off half the income they used to have. Should make everyone with senior neighbors mindful of what goes on with their lives and where you can help them out. Neat video and love the humor shown.

Her yard is beautiful. Very large. I can see where it would be too hard for her to maintain. Doesn't the moss have tiny little red bugs? I think it looks pretty hanging from the trees. You both have done such a nice job on this yard. Feel bad for this homeowner having trouble paying her mortgage. Maybe this elderly lady could start a TH-cam channel that features her daily life and any hobbies or crafts or cooking or stories that pertain to her. She seems like the kind of person lots of people would love to listen to. Maybe someone could show her how to start a channel. It might not bring a lot of cash at first but could in the near future bring in enough for the house payment or electric bill or water bill. She’d make lots of new friends too. I wish her the best. ❤

FYI: please suggest to the homeowner that renting out a room(s) to people can bring in supplemental income. My friend’s grandmother, at 103, owns a big home near Boston college and rents rooms to graduate student.

My goodness that is a huge property to care for, and I can't imagine what her house payments must be! AND at 80 she needs to look for work! I really feel for this woman! So glad you guys were able to help her! And I thank the Lord every day for what I have and for the ability to keep working at 68 since I have property taxes to pay. I hate the idea of having to work for the rest of my life so I can keep the home I have! But taxes have to be paid and my little yard has to be cared for so I keep plugging away at it all. I hope this lady finds a way to keep her home and stay happy there with her pup!
