AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage - only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on TH-cam are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

Grand Teton is one of our favorite favorite NP's. Lots of good memories there (Got married at Jenny Lake many years ago). We live near Yosemite now which we also dearly love.

I was lucky, I worked in the park for 5 summers during college (1964-1968) back before Teton Village, only 1 traffic light in the middle of the town & a lot of the shops closed during the winter. Best years of my life

Me and my wife went there and yellowstone on the last week of October in 2017. It was obviously a risky last second call but it was so worth it. The weather turned out to be beautiful and there wasn't anyone around. Me and my wife wandered down to a camping place at a lake and it was complete silence. Something I've never experienced while being outside. No cars, no wind, no birds, nothing. I was watching the Tetons through the reflection of the lake. I'll never forget it and always hope to do that again.
We also went out at about midnight at Mormons row to take picture of the milkyway and ended up meeting an astrologist that another another photographer hired and they taught us a lot about what we were seeing and how to take pictures of it.
It truly was a wonderful trip.

Also: if anyone stays at Colter Bay let it be known that there is great swimming at 'Swim Beach,' just north of the visitor center. Water is very pleasant on a warm summer day. I strongly recommend Colter Bay to anyone who has never been there. Take your time, relax, explore. And if you go: Hermitage Point trail out of Colter Bay is my favorite hike in the park.

Even in Minnesota state parks the campground dumpsters have been centralized. I walk to the dumpsters several times while camping. It’s worth the time and effort.

My wife and I were there in 1974 and took a float trip down the Snake River. It ended with an all-you-can-eat sourdough pancake breakfast. That summer we were gone for 7 weeks and went from Massachusetts to California and back. The Grand Tetons were definitely one of the best memories we have. We still camp but have moved up from the two person tent we had back then to a 20 foot travel trailer with air conditioning!

Take at least a week in the GTNP. After 4 seasons living and working there I still can't get enough! It is Heaven on Earth. Great tips; y'all covered most of the good stuff. Well done.🤠 Happy camping. P.S.: Yellowstone is over-rated. Cheers from Ranger Rabbit.

I haven't been to the Grand Tetons since 1994, but I can't wait to go back. I did the horseback riding, and the views were just amazing, so highly recommend it. I only got 2.5 days in the park, and it definitely was not long enough. But, I did see moose!

SO HAPPY Grand Teton is requiring reservations now. From Wisconsin and had plans (pre-pandemic) to visit in September 2020. Got to the campgrounds at 6:30AM and there was already the long line to the highway. ALL CAMPGROUNDS were full or closed for the season within a 2 hour radius. Had no choice but to start heading back east and visit somewhere else instead.
Looking forward to making reservations and visiting GT NP in the future!

Thanks for putting out another great video on Grand Teton NP. Was there 2 years ago and took your recommendation and stayed at Gros Ventre for 4 days and then went up to Coulter Bay for another few days. This time will be spending 10 days there in September, and have a reservation at Flagg Ranch, between Yellowstone & Grand Teton NP.

Thank you for taking the time to make this video. We only had two full days in Teton so I focused on the handful of suggestions you offered when time is limited. We camped at Jenny Lake and Gros Ventre campgrounds, outstanding campsites. We made sure to visit Schwabachers landing, Mormon row, Rockefeller preserve, went looking for black bear on moose-wilson road, hiked the 3.3mile loop at Taggart lake, and took some amazing pics at Oxbow landing. I’ve seen a lot of National parks, but Teton is my favorite so far. Thanks again!

We visited Grand Teton National Park yesterday. Half of the loop, the side with Jenny Lake, was closed. We we able to drive the other half up to Colter Bay Village, which was full of snow and also closed. There was lots of snow on the mountains, but the roads were clear. We saw 3 moose, a coyote and a GRIZZLY BEAR, which garnered a lot of attention and a pile up of cars on the side of the road. We enjoyed all the scenic pullouts and one short hike to the Cunningham cabin historic site, but obviously missed out on a lot of other attractions that the park has to offer. We will definitely be back at a better time of the year!

My favorite place is just north of Jackson. The Museum of Western Art. I'm not the tea and crumpets guy, but I just loved this museum. Food is great, scenery wonderful, art is cowboy! The building looks like the ruins of an old structure, but it's new.

We've been several times over the past 50+ years to both. They are WONDERFUL places. As you stated they are getting more & more busy with people each time. The first few times was dead of Summer and never had an issue with getting a camp spot. Couple of years ago during off season the park was pretty darn full. Now its crazy full. All well worth it though. You really need a minimum of 3-4 days in each park IMHO.

The last time we were there was in 1976. We wanted to go last year but had to cancel due to Covid. When I wanted to make reservations at Coulter rv park they were already booked. We will be staying at an rv park in West Yellowstone and driving down to Jackson one day and see some of the Tetons then.

They are inspecting for the invasive Quagga and Zebra Mussel which are wreaking havoc in lakes and streams in the US. Every place I know of in the west requires boats, etc., to be inspected or washed down before being put in the water. In the upper mid west and Great Lakes they have clogged waterways and water systems.

In 1974 my father and I hiked the wind river range for a month. There were no physical trails. There were no people. We only crossed paths with other hikers once. We had a plotted course on a topo map and a compass to navigate between lakes.

Love the Tetons. Been to Jackson Hole twice and got to attend the Spring Fling at the Jackson Lake Lodge in '64 when I was a college student. I have seen the sun rising over the Tetons from the Idaho. Our host actually woke us up so we could see the beautiful sight of the Tetons silhouetted against the horizon when the sun begins to come up. Magnificent.

We will be in Dubois, WY from 9/24 - 10/8 this year. Everything inside the park was booked solid and with a 38 foot travel trailer we are limited in where we can stay. We had booked in Fishing Bridge Campground in Yellowstone but they had to cancel on us because the construction there wasn't going to be completed in time due to the pandemic. We plan to explore around Dubois, drive down to Sinks Canyon State Park, and drive up to the Tetons during our trip. We're hoping the weather doesn't turn too cold and/or snowy too quickly this year. Taking a bit of a chance going this late in the season but we couldn't arrange to get there any sooner.

We went to Teton and Yellowstone in September 2018. One of our favorite places so far. Teton is the wild sibling of YNP. We found it quieter and much less touristy. We hiked up the Cascade trail to Inspiration Point is was amazing. Used the Gypsy App for both parks and it was so helpful, highly recommend it!

I grew up on the Idaho side of the Tetons. You could see them though our kitchen window. They look like sharks teeth on that side.
Hey, you got to do the tram on little Teton (next to ski resort at south end)! It has been rebuilt, its larger and goes up faster that the older one from the 60s. I've only be on the older one. Looking forward to seeing and riding the new one. What a view up there!
I have it as a bucket list item to go back to the park after all is settled down (3 years should be about right).
No less than a week to see a good portion at a leisure pace.

Great information, as usual, you guys! I drove through Jackson Hole on my way to Twin Falls and back but I wasn't able to stop and enjoy the town. It's very busy there!

Thank you so much for mentioning mobility in your videos! Very helpful. I look for places that can be viewed from the car, or walk some on flat surfaces. Thanks for ALL your info!!

Love your videos! We are visiting the Grand Teton and Yellowstone NP over on Memorial day, and your videos have been the most helpful in our planning! Thinking of spending 2 days in the Tetons, and about 4 days in Yellowstone. Just can't wait!!

We were there summer of 2019, and only had 2 days in the park. We saw some of the major sights but definitely needed more time to explore more. We will plan another trip there in the next few years and spend at least a week! Always enjoy hearing what you have to say about the different places you have visited. Thanks!

Loving the Seinfeld quote for your opening. This was a GREAT video. As we get more comfortable camping and towing (and backing up our rig), we plan to travel farther from home. Yellowstone and Grand Teton are definitely on our bucket list.

Sad they found Gabby there. I've never been there although I've been to most the big NP in the west, including Yellowstone and Glacier. I've gotta visit this park some day. No doubt Gabby will be in my mind, sadly.

Chased the 4014 Big boy steam engine last week. No reservations but for one in Jefferson City Missouri, Binder Park Campground. RV travel is best unplanned. Keep up the good work.

We also love the Teets. Made a 3-4 day stop there late last summer and we are considering spending a week there around Labor Day this year. Love your videos and hope to meet up someday.

A group of women campers are going to Yellowstone and Tetons this year from Reno area. Thanks for the tips. I went in 2019 but just got to drive through. Your videos were very helpful in letting us know where to go.

We are headed to Yellowstone and Grand Teton in June 21. Thanks for your great update. Will be staying in Idaho State Campground called Henry Lake State Park when going into Yellowstone and trying some boondocking when in Teton. You gave us some great ideas for the highlights of trip!

We have been to GTNP many times. We always stay in Gros Ventre park. Thanks for the heads up about reservations and for the boat permits. I just bought a kayak and will be towing it behind my truck camper. Funny how a tiny organism can change the world....again Great video! I enjoyed it so much I watched it twice. Great shots!

Grand Teton is one of the best places I have seen in 62 years. Thanks for the great video and all your work you had.😎
Do not miss the hike to Lake Solitude ( if you are in good shape)
One of the best hikes ever.
