As an American who loves both football’s, I’m glad you guys got to experience an NFL game. Atmosphere is obviously better at a stadium in the states but this is awesome either way. A lot of Brits and Europeans hate on the sport because they just don’t understand it but once you learn it, it is indeed a beautiful sport. I’m glad the game of American football is growing across the pond. Cheers from the USA ❤

I love that Brits are so curious and enthusiastic about American Football. Every video I see of a London NFL game they're always so cheery and supportive and even if they don't have a firm grasp of the rules or teams, their enthusiasm is great.
Since it only takes 5 mins to explain the basic rules, and there are popular similar sports there, they catch on quickly and can enjoy faster.

I felt that way when I started watching soccer. I was thinking, oh it's like ice hockey without sticks or ice. And instead of fights you have diving.

We love it. We have our own tv channel for it, we have our own leagues, albeit amateur. I play for my local team, we do enjoy the sport, it just isn't a huge sport here yet

Oh and I would highly recommend that you check out a Vikings game at their home stadium. Seeing a small parade do the Skol clap is one thing but seeing a stadium of 60,000 people do the clap is truly remarkable. The most emotionally charged game would be when the Vikings host the Green Bay Packers since those teams have been heated rivals for 60 years.
In the same breath, Minnesota Gophers vs Wisconsin Badgers. Playing each other for 132 years.

And check out a University of Wisconsin game. The student section are animals. So many songs and traditions. Jump Around registers as a small earthquake. Holds 80,000 lunatics. And Wisconsin, we are professional drinkers. Most bars in 45 cities/counties...more than the other 49 states.

Theo, there is overtime in the NFL. The game does not end in a tie unless both teams can't score in overtime. This was such a good video.
Yeah we really don’t have draws in American sports. There are the ties as you said in nfl games but there basically throwaway games and don’t count for much of anything.
The only NFL games that don't end in tie are those in the playoffs.
I think Thogden would watch every sport before the end of the year😂😂

I'm a relatively young America football fan from Minnesota, the home of the Vikings. I've never seen a kick bounce twice off of the bar like that and not go in, that was a crazy ending that I'm glad I was on the winning side of 😅. I'm happy we put on a show for you guys across the pond.
My advice from someone that used to be a Vikings fan. Just stop watching the NFL it's rigged against Minnesota.

To my friends across the pond, I loved your video. As a native Floridian football truly is the lifeblood of our sports passion, but I will admit it is a complicated game to learn the ins and outs of. But once you figure it out it’s incredible.
Theo, as a lifelong Vikings fan, it’s pretty hilarious to watch you at the game. They’ve been a team with their ups and downs over the years, though rarely very bad, but they’ve never been Super Bowl champions either. If they somehow manage to win this year, I nominate you as spokesman for life!

I remember we had these Australians sit next to us during at a Panthers at Saints game and it was one of those games where the Refs couldn’t call a single play correctly. We had to explain to them why everyone was mad which was fun. We were also in the top of the stadium where the Super Dome has cages on the walls so we taught then how to bang on the cage and when to bang on it. I think they’re Saints fans now at heart so we did our job.

Britain is such a great market for American football. Its already full of passionate fans of other similar sports, and British athletes with transferable skills 😁 I really hope one day we can have debates on the merits of the British American football vs the NFL. 👍
That's gonna take decades, NFL is putting a lot of money in the grassroots projects though with the kids programs. But they'll still never have the competition needed to get enough games in. Best bet is UK kids coming to the US when they are young at some football academies. Basketball academies do that a lot, tons of talented international students live, study and play ball here growing up.

Going to a big high school football game in America is awesome. No TV commercial breaks, so the game gets played like it ought to be. Plus, at the big high school games there are still tens of thousands of fans cheering their heads off, amazing atmosphere.
I played football in college, and when our games were televised, I would get bored just standing around waiting for the commercial break to end 🙃
I think the excessive amount of adverts is what makes it harder for international audiences to follow. I'm a very casual NFL follower (I don't support any particular team, but watched the Super Bowls since 2018 and followed the Tampa Bay Bucs when they won it in Tom Brady's first year there), I can't watch it live, I watch the replays with all that shit edited out.
It's not like the ads are only between each quarter which would be tolerable, they're after every play.
I don't get why they don't just do what top level soccer and other sports do, which is plaster the stadium and jerseys in sponsors. It looks tacky seeing your player running around in a jersey with the logos of BMW or Ford or Coca Cola or whatever on it but it doesn't get in the way of the game.
I live in the suburbs of Chicago and played European football (soccer) in high school & college. I also, have been a life long Vikings fan. I enjoyed watching your video and it looks like you guys had a smashing good time. I’m definitely jealous, you had great seats and wish I was sitting there with you.

Amazing video! NFL is very good. Good sport. It´s not too popular here in the Czech Republic but I am watching the sport for 5 years and if you watch it on TV you will learn rules and principles of the game very quickly. Super Bowl is one of my favorites sporting events to watch on TV although it´s late here in Europe. One day I want to experience this game live, just like you and Thogdad. But I have a question for you. Have you ever seen live or on TV Ice hockey? Here in the Czech Republic it´s as popular as football and it´s quick beautiful game too. Actually I´m going to an NHL game in Prague tomorrow. So I can´t wait to get some world best hockey!

@@whosaidthat84 5 games every week but I usually watch 3 because the time difference. Thursday game that is on Prime Video. On sunday three games in different time, usually from CBS and NBC. And Monday game from ESPN. Every week are playing different teams. It’s on Premier Sport 2, which is on demand sport Channel here in Czech Republic. I don’t support any team. I have only New York Giants hat. My father was in New York and he came to their game and bought me this hat.
