Pity did not follow the Singapore digital arrival card. . Always loved visiting Thailand. But this day and age these countries introducing all forms of ETA,s may find travellers cannot be bothered. I will now stick to Singapore . Korea spend my tourist $ where they appreciate tourists.

This 'teacher' is suspect at best. Under no circumstances should a student be attending your premises alone. A hug and holding hands may seem innocent enough but to me sounds a lot like grooming.

in jpeg no more than 3Megz
but yes not having to line up is brilliant

Yo customs & immigration are not the same thing, the ETA does not allow bypassing customs. It is only proposed not an unavoidable fact
Wonder if "ETA" will be the same as the "Elite" Visa. That was rolled out right on schedule 😋
You need to show flight tickets in and out of Thailand to get an ETA. But I wouldn’t buy flight tickets unless I have an ETA…but you can’t get an ETA without flight tickets. So, how do you solve this problem?

Customs clearance will still be enforced!
@NorthernMike-1 Of course, your passport still needs to be stamped for entry, visa exempt or with a visa. If immigration or the police need to see it they still have to be able to determine whether you are in the country legally.
@@louistavernia8163 I was under impression that you will be issued with a print out arrival document, that’s kept with your passport.

What if you are an Australian living in Thailand and you leave Thailand to visit another country and return to Thailand, do you have to get an ETA every time you return to Thailand?
If you live in Thailand with long term visa, such as Retirement Visa, even Student Visa, you need to get a re-entry visa before you leave Thailand for another country. ETA refers to those who enter Thailand on visa exemption permit(many call it visa, too). Totally different visa you're confused with.
I am going to Thailand 13 December, will i need ETA ? Or wont it be available yet because it will still be in the pilot stage ?
Perhaps checking the Thai government Website would be a good idea.....

I would rather do this prior to departure, than have issues upon arrival! But that’s just me!

This ETA is just like the Philippines Etravel and the system that the UK and the EU are implementing.
The one in the Philippines is easy enough to use and can be setup on a laptop or a PC or an app on mobile phone but unfortunately not yet on a tablet or Samsung Zfold phone (which it classes as a tablet)
I have used that the twice I have been to the Philippines in the last year.
The simple thing is that if you don't want to give the details required or are one of those "conspiracy" idiots then just don't travel to those countries that require them.
ETA for all 93 visa exempt countries granted 60 Days may soon be required online year end or next year before travel into Thailand, pending requirements.

I did not need one when I entered in July this year with active retirement visa. Is this a new rule too? How informed are you?
