#remix with @gracekinstlerofficial That last one was painful. Lol! #onlinesinginglessons #vocalcoachreacts #singinglessons #vocalcare #singbetter #reacción
When there’s a three part harmony you notice it. The alto’s are the foundation and without them it sounds horrible 😭😭 I’m a soprano 1 but I’ve come to love and appreciate the Altos who sing out in my choirs
As a person that had to be alto for 1 year but half of the year soprano ( total for soprano was 1 year and a half ) ( alto for a half year) because my class had low voices and relatable -
When I was in high school choir we would do daily warmups (the la la la la scale stuff going lower and higher)… i think it was the first day of class and our director started the warmup and as he went higher of course us altos would eventually drop out letting the sopranos continue. Well he went lower and at some point told us altos to drop out but me and one other girl decided to see how low we could go. I can’t remember the note but we sure impressed both the tenors/basses and our director had a look of shock and amazement with just how low we went! “Can they sing with us?” one of the tenors asked. Lol!
Hello there! I appreciate you, I am a choir director and I always say the altos are the ones holding it down, tho soprano is difficult, alto has it very very difficult because they are fighting against the soprano main melody to sing an all together different melody to make one. What you do is incredible and SO INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT I always tell them I wouldn’t want to be an alto they have a hard job, but truly make the choir sound angelic and give that well rounded sound. I so appreciate you! Keep doing what you do!! People may not realize that they appreciate you but trust me if you weren’t there singing they would notice!!
@SophieMc28 well...I actually don't sing the melody...Most of the pieces they give us the Altos are singing the melody and the sopranos the harmony...Soooo.....yeah....
That’s beautiful that’s all any director could ask, id rather two people with their whole hearts in it then 20 who make no mistakes but have lost their love for singing to God. You’re top tier my friend! Keep doing what you do!
I am a soprano, but every time I hear our altos I am just truly shocked at what they can do! Altos are super under appreciated!! They literally add pizazz to all of our songs and create beautiful harmonies
Ikr. I’m a soprano, a first soprano to be specific , but feel half appreciated because I could sing alto if I really wanted to, like I have a three octave range and use the higher 1 1/2 more than the lower 1 1/2. I’m going to ask to be a second in hope of using my lower half more.
def the underappreciated alto!! i’ve known for awhile that i’m a contralto, but i blew my choir teacher away when she found out that i can sing as low as the baritone boys :)
I love singing low too! Not sure if im considered a contralto but I’ve always been “assigned” the alto 2 part when the alto part is split. The lowest note I can comfortably sing with good support would probably be an E3 but I can go down to a C3 if I’m sick.
I have no experience in choir and i was accepted into belcanto (all girls advanced choir) wish me luck.😮 I basically know nothing, but i play piano! I hope that helps.😅
I sing alto or tenor for choir and this is so true. I will be singing my part and the dang soprano's are screaming their heads off. ( I may have or may have not made a soprano quit choir 😅) ( SHE WAS BAD)
I’m a screaming soprano that has trouble continuing to scream because you’re low and I stuggle staying high if I’m supposed to sing high. I’m also that one soprano who can not only scream, but also sing with altos which I why I struggle. My range is literally 3 octaves.
When I was alto I wasn’t the loudest I could be but still rung in the teacher’s ear. Then she put me in soprano and now I’m the first two… which is why the sopranos don’t blend the best because us sopranos are kinda competing on who can be the loudest unknowingly, but I’m tryna stop haha
I am probably the 'solo' one cause everyone in my chior has a high pitched voice and I am the only one with a heavy voice and you can clearly hear me 🥲 believe me it's quite embarrassing..😅
Nah bro im either the one that sang as a child who is really good or the highest form if singing like higher than soprano OR the one who sings AFTER practiced the songs💀
I'm that last one. I have 0 talent though I did slightly decent in HS. Somehow I produced 4 of 5 children with beautiful vocal talent. Who knew 🤷♀️ All 3 of my daughters, and 1 of my 2 sons. My son is an adult now but did show choir, chamber choir, varsity choir...all competitively (the girls do competitive as well). He's a bass, and it was rare he'd openly sing for us at home. In fact we had no idea he could sing at all until he came home 1 day his freshman year & said he'd joined choir months ago. So...on a rare occasion he will sing for just us, and it's beautiful. He has great confidence & stage presence. He falls into everything is a solo, ypu could always pick him out. My eldest daughter didnt pursue music after HS, and is 22 now. She did 4 years of what he did as well plus speech, debate, chorale reading, musical theatre etc. She's the unappreciated alto lol. Our youngest are 14 & 16, will be freshman and a junior this fall. They've competed for state together in duets, but are working on solos for the coming year during summer lessons. Both are sopranos, the elder has higher range at the moment....but honestly they have great range either way and can hit alto too if needed, just not their favorite. Anyway...both fall into the sings it like a solo. They've been exposed to music from the womb, They've always loved the spotlight! Obviously with 2 extra years of experience the elder has better control...but the younger is catching up quickly. I'm excited to see the summer recital and then what this year brings for them. The elder has already been working her song that will hopefully get her to state. She made it there last year with a sextet, small ensemble. Sometimes my ears do ring because I'm shocked when she masters a new note. 💯 can find her voice in the large group. The song she's working was originally made for opera, it's a challenge...one I believe she'll be able to achieve ❤ The younger also has 2 songs she's working...and I can't wait to hear them. She got outstanding soloist for middle school show choir in our region last year. Car rides are bliss, I love to just close my eyes and listen to them. Or when I walk past their room & have to stop to take in those beautiful voices as they practice. We owe it to one amazing director & vocal teacher, encouraging their passion & challenging their boundaries to come out of their shells. ❤
My pet peeve was always the wannabe soloists. I'm a very boring singer and just follow sheet music. That landed me a surprising number of solos mainly because it's so darn consistent.
I am the second one. I’m only 8 in my dream is to become a famous singer like Taylor, Swift. I hope I complicated. I am really good at singing show me the second one by the way, I’m a girl.
I can sing both parts, I sometimes sing Alto for one or two songs then sing Soprano for the others, my chorus teacher lets me do both parts but I’m more comfortable with Soprano because it’s my vocal range, my highest note is C6 ❤
I was the only alto that was able to go to concerts for my high school choir my freshman year, my choir director would make a speech about how there was one alto, so I would have to sing louder than I probably should have and damaged my voice but I did it so my choir director wouldn’t have to sing with me because I wanted to show her that I could do it and do my best while maintaining my part consistently, I did that, then I couldn’t sing for a week, I then got an award for most valuable member of my choir 😅
I’m gonna be completely honest, in my last school production there were 40 altos and 5 sopranos and somehow us sopranos were still louder than the altos, us sopranos were busting our butts to be heard even though there were 5 of us and 40 altos.
bruh we all have that one friend that everyone likes who’s number 4 and thinks they’re some amazing vocalist & nobody will ever break it to them that they sound like a dying horse 😭
I used to sing alto, and sometimes even tenor if they were baritone heavy and that part was high. I'm used to being the only alto in a choir with 10+ sopranos.
Bro I’m a soprano and in some of our women’s song pieces the the poor Altos are trying there best to be the basses which is what my director wants and us sopranos are just screaming🤣 it’s so funny
I’m the alto 😂 focusing hella hard on holding my own note progressing while the sopranos are screaming 😂
Same lol 🤣🤣
OMG ME TOOOOO!!!
😂I’m one of the sopranos screaming while also admiring your voice and notes 😄

I’m an unappreciated alto except they love when i sing low and shout me out for it

I wish we had tenors, but we don’t have enough people to even have a tenor section. There was literally 3 people who could sing tenor last year.
@@bread_lover3012 I thought tenor is the most common voice type for males
@@toarathere were only 3 guys in our class.
I love that alto
Unappreciated Alto here 🤚

I follow some other girl and sing louder so then we can be equally loud

Same! But our church choir director does appreciate us and encourages us to sing out when we get a groovy part. 😊
I’m a soprano in theatre and trust I appreciate you altos sm we would be nth without you guys
Im the one who thinks its always a solo, but, i dont think it, its how i sing
Can u talk about her perfect placement? Gosh grace is amazing
I’m a combo of the first two. I’m a theatre kid as much as I am a chorus kid
I'm in church choir And i'm the youngest
The Alto made my heart sink low with it
Beautiful
Im disney princess but also alto. Im a theater kid but Im always the villain cuz they normally sing lower parts lol
So that’s why I’ve always loved singing along with the villains… lol! I’ve been an alto my whole life.
Man im the unappreciated soprano....😂😂😢😢❤❤❤
@SophieMc28 well...I actually don't sing the melody...Most of the pieces they give us the Altos are singing the melody and the sopranos the harmony...Soooo.....yeah....

Savvy I have a very high voice so when I sing, it’s definitely out of the group, so I guess the solo one
I'm none
I'm the quiet one who knows what to do, but doesn't like to speak up about it
Solo all the way
Im the mix of the underappreciated alto and the thinks everythings a solo

I’m the under appreciated alto😭😭 except my chior loves me and knows I carry the low notes by myself lmao
Thank God they realize!! I too love my altos and try and give them a lot of recognition because they truly have the hard job!
That alto gives me chills man. Thats was beautiful

Hahahaha God bless you!!! Drop that jaw raise those brows!! You’ve got this!!!

Natural tenor, but was an unappreciated baritone in choir. Yes, 1s and 2s, we can hear you. Alto was 👌.

I'm the unappreciated Alto roll the 10s and Sopranos are just shining like a star
As an alto I can confirm, we NEVER get appreciation 😔😔😔
I'm a 2. And a little of the unappreciated alto. :) And if you can actually sing, it's hard to sing crappy at the end like she did. Well done!
1 or 3 for me. Only ever sang 3 tho because I was capable of it and we didn’t have enough of them.
I would say probably a mix of things everything is a solo and underappreciated alto because I am an alto
I do show Choir and I can say most of us are the ones who think everything is a solo (including me) or the underappreciated alto ❤❤❤

Im 10000% the last one. I cant sing for the life of me and they wont let me quit choir. Or i just laugh at my friend moriah
Unappreciated alto is me 😂 but I quit choir due to having stage shyness
I'm definitely a unappreciated alto. Y choir teacher gets so mad when I do it because it not '' on pitch"
i think i might be the soloist, although i’m a soprano and my favorite thing is a good harmony so 🤷🏼♀️

the last one's giving Hilary Duff, sorry

I’m the one who thinks everything is a solo bc I’m soprano
I’m an alto in school but darn those low notes sometimes, I’m better as them highher notes sometimes LOL I’m kind of in the middle
I'm an alto. Im one of the stronger singers.
One of the sopranos, I kid you not, sings in _zigzags._
Probably the one who treats stuff like a solo- but that’s in rehearsals, because the song were singing is popular as a solo on the radio-
The funny thing is, I can be all depending on how much ginger I eat and practise I take
