    Delicious!! Just tried it for dinner tonight, and all I can say is *chef’s kiss*! Instead of the peanut butter dipping sauce I did sriracha mayo, yum!!!!

      Hi! Hoisin is really has a unique taste. As substitute, you can mix barbeque sauce and black bean sauce or mix soy sauce and oyster sauce or you can use teriyaki sauce as well with some sort of adjustment but don't be expecting an exact match but at least of something close and similar to hoisin taste. Hope this help my dear and thank you for leaving your question here. Good day!

      What a gracious and humble response. Personally we love peanut sauce with tofu, and even homemade egg rolls. We are able to water it down a little as the peanut butter thickens so well. We also add a few T. Of apricot spread, instead of other sweeteners. For those who cannot eat peanuts, cashews or even sesame tahini will also work.Thanks again and you’ve gained a new subscriber.Marjorie from Georgia US🌻

    Is it possible to freeze this tofu "fingers" or for how long can you keep the tofu fresh for use?

    • @mykitchenmyhome
      @mykitchenmyhome  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HI! If the tofu is not going to be used right away, pat it dry and put it in a tight container and you can put it in the freezer. It will last 2 months. When placed in the freezer, the texture of the tofu changes. Like chicken meat. Magic 😊 But if you are going to use it anytime, you can put it in the lower portion of your refrigerator, wash the tofu thoroughly, put it in an air tight container and let the tofu be submerged in water. Change the water in the container every second day. This way you can keep the tofu fresh and may keep it more than a week or so. Hope this helps. Stay fit and in good health 💕

    Hi, can this be cooked in Air Fryer?

    • @mykitchenmyhome
      @mykitchenmyhome  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Sue! For air fryer method, pre-heat air fryer for 5 minutes then set 200C and air fry for 5 minutes each side of tofu. Spray a bit of oil to the tofu (each side) to make it crispy. Enjoy-enjoy! 😊

    Can i use an airfryer instead ?

    • @mykitchenmyhome
      @mykitchenmyhome  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Michael! Yes you can use an air fryer instead deep frying it. Just pre-heat air fryer for 5 minutes first, then later set it to 200C and air fry tofu for 5 minutes each side, don't forget to spray a little oil on both sides to achieve crispiness. Enjoy and happy holidays to you Michael🥰

    Everything looks good, except the sauce . You should turn off the stove and slowly add the "corn starch water mix" to adjust the thickness , then turn back on the heat in low . This way ,your dipping sauce will looks way better with out the clunk!

    Can I use instead of flour Sticky riceflour ?

    • @mykitchenmyhome
      @mykitchenmyhome  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there Cindy, thank you for leaving a question. Yes, you may use sticky rice flour, but the result will a bit different, using flour the texture will be crispy while if you use sticky rice flour the texture will be a bit gummy. Choose which you prefer. "Whichever makes you happy ♥"
