Great video! It was very professionally done. I didn't know that sharks snorkeled. Sorry... just a little dry humor... or should I say wet humor, and very little at that. Anyway, I love the video. It does a very good job of showing the gracefulness of the White Tip, Reef Shark. Thanks for posting it.
Allison Hatcher This was actually filmed on the Big Island of Hawaii, but white tip reef sharks are the most common shark seen in the Hawaiian islands! That’s awesome you saw a few!
Swimming and sleeping! Very cool sighting. I’ve seen them before in La Jolla and at Tunnels on Kauai but both times was prepared and searching for them. This one a Kapalua surprised us! Then we met a wonderfully nerdy little girl who showed us the cave where they sleep. Looking forward to spying an octopus this trip if we are very vigilant.
Allison Hatcher I also saw a white tip shark at Kapalua yesterday. He was sleeping/resting near the bottom under the reef. I was told by the surfboard rental guys that he lives there. He was about 6 feet long. It was incredible to experience. Glad he didn’t wake up though!
Saw the same 6 footer last week in Kapalua. Was told by the rental guys that there are TWO out there normally. The one we saw was a 6 foot, pregnant female. It was around noon and she was swimming underneath us.
Andrew Moya only if they feel that they're in danger and that only happens if you swim right to them and won't stop giving no respect at all. Then they might attack you or just swim away. It's quite rare that they actually attack people.
Wow! Incredible footage.
What a beautiful shark and elegant swimmer.
Oh wow!! I love the way you just followed the shark without interrupting it and showed the beauty of the shark!! Outstanding !!
Incredible whitetip reef sharks
That turtle was frickin savage
These shots should be used on Discovery! Love how the piano music makes the shark look so graceful in the water! Awesome video man!
Saw one at kealakekua bay ( I think this is where you filmed the video ) :D
Beautiful video, cool how close you can get to them! Great look he gives you in the end
Flo Weissauer depends if it is White tipped on the dorsal fin then it's fine but if it's a Black tipped Then no it's to dangerous
