I have the Williams 70919 fiber optic ghost ring for the Williams WGRS base in conjunction with a TruGlo TG95450RG front sight, .450 height on my 1977 XTR. I highly recommend the Beartooth Mercantile BTMTD-9422 saddle ring for ease of takedown w/o a screwdriver and cool looks.
I don't know how many rifles I own. I do know my favorite is a 1972 9422M. I love that rifle. I will try the trigger fanatic product and see how it compares to the frog lube. Thank you for the review.
Don't really know how many rifles my family owns but know every part of each. However my #94 in .30-.30 i just use a bore snake, ear wipes, ect. Still after 40 plus years can't bring myself to tear it apart. lol. every few years i bring it to my smith to get it done..........
While watching your video I noticed your 9422 has an aperture rear sight. Would you identify the manufacturer of the sight which I assume attaches via the dove tail on the top of the receiver. Thanks!
Are you against stuff like Brake Parts Cleaner to Clean Metal? I find it very fast and it blows crude out quickly. It dries fast and then I oil with gun oil of some type.
Not at all, carburetor cleaner probably works good as long as you don’t get it on the wood, generally most lever actions don’t get very dirty so they don’t usually require a lot of cleaning,
damn, not a fan of the way you clean this beautiful gun, you should put a piece of cloth or leather over the tip of your screwdriver so you don't scratch the blued receiver, I also cringed when you sprayed a ton of that cleaning product all over the internals.. also is that bore snake made of wire? even if its not, pulling a bore snake out of a barrel at an angle will over time damage the crown... if you're going to take the rifle apart you might aswell get a decent one piece cleaning rod..

Cool stuff! I love that gun! I used to use Hoppes for over 40 years, then switched to MPro 7. Gonna try this stuff!
Dominic Minischetti Thank you
Hoppe's 9 and 5w20 full synthetic motor oil for me. It's the same oil my car uses
Seems to work pretty well!
Pat Realmanofgenius 👍

A Williams receiver sight for a 1022
My understanding is that the take down screw is designed for a us nickel only and not a screwdriver
Thanks.
You are welcome

Thank you for the video. Where did you get that peep sight?
Jim Toth got it from midway USA
Thanks for the instructions. Now that you’ve finished please go shoot that rooster!
There’s like 20 roosters,
@@Leverguns50You have my deepest sympathies. That would drive me totally nuts!
But your just going to have to make it dirty again ... I have the XTR version. nice gun.
Getting it dirty is usually funner than cleaning it
are those aftermarket stocks on your Winchester?
No, that’s what come on it
What kind of rear sight do you have? i'm looking for something similar..
It’s for a 1022 and I got it from midway USA
Try a Skinner peep sight. They are very accurate and well made.
Where did you get that rear peep sight partner?
buletpoint got it from midway USA I think it was for the 1022
Use a nickle on that take down screw.

Bore snake is a cable covered with rubber, I really appreciate your concern, no guns were damaged in the filming of this video
@@Leverguns50 Haha! Great reply!
Head mounted cameras suck. It would also be nice to see some good close up video instead of a bunch of out of frame video.
Love them marlin 39A but not the price $3400.00🤢🤮
