    I used a USPS PO Box but used the actual address of the post office with my box # written as "Unit #" or "Spc #" or "Lot #". It absolutely worked. The USPS employees were smart enough to figure out that the Unit, Spc, or Lot # was actually a BOX #.

      This sounds good. I would like to test it. But I understand that the USPS has a time limit on holding packages. A small hiccup if it works.

      @@RandyMorris-wq7tr Good question. That would need to be tested. I know the UPS boxes will keep it pretty long (at least a few weeks). I definitely left packages there for 2+ weeks at times, and you can use that address for other things like I explained in my video. You would just have to have a UPS store reasonably close/accessible.
      Also over many months of doing this, I started to know all the employees at my UPS store. I could call the store and ask if stuff arrived or would have felt comfortable asking them to hold something longer if I was out of town longer because I actually knew all the workers and they were all familiar with me too.

      In these interesting times more people are using 📫 PO Boxes. However the USPS has raised rates. I still am nervous about IPostal 😮

    You can also use USPS General Delivery. Just ask USPS for a General Delivery form to fill out. They are usually good for about a month. They should let you be able to refill it out when your time runs out. This might be an easier option that mail forwarding.

    I don't have no friends or family. And I'm homeless. What should I do ?

    • @marenmakesit
      @marenmakesit  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Steve, I’m sorry to hear that. It sounds like you’re in a really difficult position. I am going to answer this assuming you’re in the USA. I unfortunately won’t be much help for any other countries as I don’t know much about their mailing systems.
      Small size mailboxes from UPS run between $10 and $30 a month depending on location. If you get a package, they will still receive and hold it for you even if it’s too big for the mailbox. I took that price range from their website. You can call any UPS store and ask for a quote. Maybe call around and see if you can find one that is closer to the $10 price. It might be worth it if you really need an address you can use to spend that money on the mailbox.
      Of my other suggestions in the video, if you need to order something that you can find on Amazon, you could use an Amazon locker. Those are free with the cost of whatever you’re ordering.
      I also did some research to find that shelters (especially longer term ones) will often accept mail for you and so will churches that help people experiencing homelessness.
      You could also consider housesitting through Trusted Housesitters as a way to maybe take advantage of my suggestion to get mail at a temporary address and exchange your time caring for a pet for accommodations. Here’s a video on how I’ve done this:
      th-cam.com/video/NBMgAXcI9Qs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qJ1dVM05shURzqHT
      You are essentially trading your time working for housing then.
      I hope these suggestions help and thank you for watching.

    • @RandyMorris-wq7tr
      @RandyMorris-wq7tr 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not having a mailing address already can be an issue. Try the suggested po address. At least try and maybe share the experience.

      AI should be used to track and disable mean people, people who cuss, say mean things, people who yell, argue, hurt others including animals. We wouldn't have to kill them. Just disable their abilities to gain access to others until they complete online re-education = proper ediquette and cordiality videos. After successful completion of training videos they could be afforded limited scheduled opportunities to try out their new skills in the outside world. By providing every person, aged 16 and over (if capable of and performing adequate self-care) a free studio apartment in a high rise, we could house everyone. Nice people deserve a nice and safe world, free from meanies like you. AI can provide a future where our children, pets, plants and wildlife no longer get harmed, emotionally or physically by mean people such as yourself.
