It was ok if Hammer wasn't your cup of tea because this was during the golden age of hip hop so there was still something for everyone and r&b was still strong, unlike now where music just stinks at every angle. One last thing... my favorite joint by Hammer was "Pray". I may be wrong, but I think this is the only time Prince allowed a rapper to sample his music. Prince was very protective of his music, and he even said during an interview in the 90s, that he got countless requests for his music to be sampled, but he turned most of them down because if they weren't saying anything positive, they couldn't use his music. Hammer was able to win Prince's favor in that aspect. And as far as Marshmallow Mathers goes, why he stay clowning black artists? Never saw him parody any "rock gods". He can go to Hades. Af first I thought dance-pop was whack, as I gotten wiser, I realize that dance-pop and new jack swing is basically black music. And, Feminem, he always like to making fun of black rappers and he profited off of by forming D12.
50 Cent, D12, Proof, etc., just gave him more "street cred" ..but he aint loyal, like that, as the person said, speaking on what went down at Proof's funeral...
This scenario; in its framework, sounds similar to the formulated friends/crew that was put together by Elvis' manager, for the purposes of buffering Elvis from his Black street contemporary's. He put up with all his manager's BS until he attempted to get in between Elvis and his Belly/food - he point blank refused to have a white woman cook his food. It appears the only comparisons that can be made between the two singers is that Elvis may have had a genuine appreciation for the culture. whereas Marshal as with Elvis is simply a well marketed/targeted vulture! In summary, Elvis couldn't make it without his cook & Marsha couldn't make it without his bLacking folk. I think Elvis beats his ONLY authentic contemporary, Eminem, as the King of the "Great White Hopefuls"
He dissed TWO of our biggest pop stars, who happened to have became the most successful (Mc Hammer & Michael Jackson) ...and he had dissed Will Smith, too.

I was in kindergarten when he came and I remember how excited everyone was over MC Hammer. I still like his music to this day. And a lot of folks black and white like Vanilla Ice. White people ruined his career because he wasn’t from the hood and didn’t live stereotype of black life. That embarrassed them that Vanilla Ice wasn’t as bad as there ‘big bad black man"stereotype as they saw black rappers as already. Please don’t make me despise Eminem more than I do now.

Back in the early 1990s, I had always wondered why the top New York MCs never took a clear shot at Hammer on wax. Kool G Rap, Rakim, Kane, Guru. None of those four did. I realized why when I heard Redman's interview. Vanilla Ice was simply an industry plant, nothing more. There was always going to be a Vanilla Ice, at least in concept. The corporate music cabal was looking to capitalize off hip hop and Vanilla Ice was the way they were going to do it. And if the guy who ultimately became that character said no, then they would have found someone else. There was bound to be a Vanilla Ice, at least the concept of one.
Anything that have black men getting along and up lifting each other. Eminem has a problem with because he can't be a part of it.... Thats why it's was so disrespectful when Eminem references Tupac. Tupac was a revolutionary first and entertainers second.... he would had never disrespected Delores Tucker , lauren Hill mc Hammer or will smith... see Dr Dre or 50 cent should ha e pulled his coat tail and said no bro you are a guess here.
You see all these dance studios all over America that have "hip hop dance classes?" Even in the most suburban places in all of the country? None of that happens without MC Hammer.
I like MC Hammer. Lyrically, if you're a rapper, he's not what you aspire to. If you see him as a good time rapper, someone who's out to entertain, you can appreciate him more. I wish he stayed more flashy and had more back up dancers in spite of the haters.
Shoot, I like to think Hammer pulled up to Eminem's house with an infantry platoon's worth of his guys , walked up to the front stoop, and said, "Is there anything else you want to say about me??"
Oh no doubt Hammer would beat the dog shit outta Eminem but there’s a lot of love and connection between The Bay and my home town of Detroit so some mutual dude would get on the phone and squash it before it ever got to that.
What does Sway mean about "outlandish sets" that's called entertainment and showmanship! Who gives a flyin' fucc, what Eminem sez that's because black, people, that listened to MC Hammer could dance and have rhythm, dancing is fun, and feeling the music is part of black culture! Eminem's music is written for psychos' like himself, scenes of him (in music video(s) spitting in people's food and having (dark violent) muses, about killing his mother and girlfriend.👀👀 #INSANE👺 I don't get why he's such a big (white folks) deal, but black, rappers, calling him a "Rap God" takes ass kissing to a new level!?🙄 Smdh.👈🏾
I think it just boils down to the fact that as long as an artist is black you respect them regardless of how trash they might be... You can't be a white person who's great at MC'n and get any kind of respect from a racist bc all racist people see is skin color anyway.. which is silly bc we all bleed the same blood and breathe the same air. They are to closed minded to appreciate skill. If Jay z were white you'd be doggin him. But yano what's funny though? Nashville took Darius Rucker in with open arms like he'd been there all along. Why ain't you calling him a traitor? You got so much hate for one race you starting a TH-cam channel hating on one white artist who happens to have earned the respect of the majority of the black community. I tell you what... If hip hop was intended to only include black people.. then go back in time and tell J Coles parents not to fuck.. bc apparently J Cole is half white last I heard... as are maaaany other hip hop artists. Racists are alot of the reason this country can't move forward. Racists from whichever race never think they are wrong about anything. Their opinion is always correct like they own the rights to the knowledge of the universe. I believe Em said himself... He's not Biggie Nas Pac or Rakim. He said that... With his own mouth. Then Beyonce who might I add is very well respected by black culture and other cultures bc there's more than just 1 culture who like beyonce came after and said I walk on water but I ain't no Jesus. I'm just glad I got better things to do than look for every little thing that may offend me Everytime I turn the TV on then make videos about it. That's all.

Hammer was able to win Prince's favor in that aspect. And as far as Marshmallow Mathers goes, why he stay clowning black artists? Never saw him parody any "rock gods". He can go to Hades.
Keep doing what you're doing, Sis. I love your commentary and your love of music and for your people!👊🏿🙏🏾❤
Af first I thought dance-pop was whack, as I gotten wiser, I realize that dance-pop and new jack swing is basically black music.

He just thought all of the black rappers were going to diss MC Hammer. I doubt that he was really out there trying to convince people MC Hammer was terrible.
Yeah, Hammer was the ISH! Even though I was one of those who criticized him, back then, that was just about him crossing over ..but I LOVED his initial songs, like "Pump it Up!" ..but honestly ..I am trying to get more of us angry ...lol ..I know I'm wrong, but... lol & smh
I like MC Hammer. Lyrically, if you're a rapper, he's not what you aspire to. If you see him as a good time rapper, someone who's out to entertain, you can appreciate him more. I wish he stayed more flashy and had more back up dancers in spite of the haters.

That's all.
I need to just dispose of this, because you are showing that you only come in my vids to post, but you don't watch/listen to a damn thing? It's SO MUCH EASIER for me to leave you believing that I am a racist! So, I'm gonna go along with that! lol ..but I'm not gonna allow for too much of the BSing ...You have plenty of these fake, reaction vids for these comments, actin' like you don't know...

You noticed that she hasn't criticized other white rappers like Cage, Aesop Rock and many others? You noticed she hasn't criticized the Beatsie boys despite being so beleoved by the mainstream?Because those artists are not being overpromoted and overhyped to the degree that Eminem is .
