The more you watch and especially listen to Kai on drums you understand why Jukka chose Kai to replace him. Jukka was a show in himself, hot damn he was fun to watch, holy crap. Kai brings subtleties to the songs that may take a dozen times listening to hear. When I hear one I haven't heard before, I get this big smile on face. How a band could wind up with two of the best drummers to sit behind a kit is amazing. There's just no end to the talent in this band. It's an E ticket ride everytime. Enjoy your ride, these folks are like nothing you've ever heard before.
I love the description I read in a comment section about Jukka and Kai's differences "Jukka is a sith and Kai is a jedi" both great drummers but the way they play it fits. Jukka more animated, chaotic sorta like a sith and Kai, more technical, calm, in touch with the force, a jedi :)

I only recently discovered these amazing artists a few months ago, hard to believe. I love the music Tuomas writes, I love all of the guys in the band, and I love Tarja's work as well as Annette's time with the band. But, there is something about Floor that has touched me more than anyone ever has in music. And, she is such a kind, sweet, funny, down to earth normal person. If you haven't yet, check out some of her stuff on her you tube channel. During lockdown she did a Fan Friday series, I've watched them all and they're so much fun! this song is a very good example of the very cool musicianship the flow and the effortless transitions and a very cool title track it certainly helps to give a good and variety of just what the rest of the album will sound like, i enjoyed the sounds and colors of a symphony the horns whistles flutes and color accents of it

Hi! First time viewer and recent subscriber here! Nightwish is my favourite band and I love watching reaction videos to their stuff and seeing their amazing music touching so many new people. I would strongly recommend you check out "The Greatest Show On Earth" by them, it's a 20 minute masterpiece that tells the story about the creation of Earth and the birth of humans and animals and of course, Tuomas was like, yeah I can write a song about that easily. I swear that man is the greatest composer alive today. But yeah, love your videos and I hope to see you react to this experience because I think you will love it.

First, the not so new drummer : Kai Hahto is "The Human Metronome", or in my book Kai "The Machine Gun" Hahto ( is a Finnish musician and drummer). Hahto was a member of the grindcore band Rotten Sound. Hahto then recorded with the band Wintersun as a session drummer before joining them as a band member. On 6 August 2014, it was announced that Hahto will be playing drums on the forthcoming Nightwish album, replacing Jukka Nevalainen, who went on hiatus from the band due to insomnia, and Hahto performed on all live shows since that date. On July 15, 2019, Hahto became Nightwish's permanent drummer following Nevalainen's decision not to return to the band. This song is one of three great openings from them ("Dark Chest Of Wonders", "Shudder Before The Beautiful" and now "Music" intro followed by "Noise" ). Shudder before the Beautiful is referring to the amazement and wonder we (The Travelers) should all feel regarding the natural world. It is all around us including the solar system and universe, which we are all a part of while traveling amongst the stars on this small spec of blue. I agree with you. The vocals should be slightly louder in the mix from this show. The bass is just a bit to loud with dampens the overall sound a little. This was from the Nightwish 2015 record, "Endless Forms Most Beautiful". many of the songs from this record revolve around a theme of wonder and appreciation for the natural world all around us. My favourite NW concert opener, also the opening song of my favourite album. Yeah, that keyboard sound is...interesting. It's not like that on the album (though it's still spacey), I think Tuomas was just having fun experimenting! My favourite music videos are probably _Elan,_ _The_ _Islander,_ _Noise,_ the competition-winning "official fan video" for _The_ _Crow,_ _The_ _Owl_ _and_ _the_ _Dove,_ and _Amaranth._
Other's have already mentioned Kai as drummer who came from the band Wintersun. Later when Marco left the band the bass from Wintersun, Jukka Koskinen came on board, to take Marco's place.

I'd also like to say that one of the very very few notes I'd give to Tuomas is to find a different sound on the keyboard for his solo. Helluva way to open a show! This is a fantastic concert. Maybe my favorite Nightwish set list at a single show. Mic sounds great. Kai Hahto was Jukka’s mentor and took over the kit in the 2014-15 timeframe, after chronic insomnia forced him into retirement. Jukka remained with the band in a business role. For an official Nightwish music video, maybe start with Noise from their most recent album. Enjoy the show! I’m here for it.
For me having fell down the rabbit hole the videos I’ve seen although better than most band’s cannot compare to the live performances I have seen Zeppelin Stones Sabbath most of the top bands of my time and these folks are just so much better than anything I’ve seen up till now my 2 cents thanks

Hello you gorgeous lady, for some reason I haven't seen you react to this one yet... Now I have. How are you doing? Because if I remember correctly you dear and so beautiful cat passed away. I had that happen to my 21 year old Persian cat. Still miss him dearly, and even more so because movers lost the box where I had my family, and pet photos. So now I don't even have a picture to remember my "Puppet" by. That was his name he answered. He's official name was Puemont III something, but I just called him Puppet. And I got him when he was 7moths old, he had gone some shows that point too. But for me he was a home cat/pet.
This is a song that still rises up my NW favorites ranks, just like Amaranth btw. I also find SBTB an awesome first song to introduce NW to non-metal colleagues and friends. And yes, Kai Hahto replaced Yukka at the beginning of the new NW album after Wacken '13, as his insomnia simply became too much of a problem. I do like the "battle" between Tuomas and Emppu, something you don't see done anymore during music concerts.

Yeah I wondered this myself, but then I also thought to myself live performances are always a bit different. With bands I have seen multiple times on one tour each night is always unique. Like the stage banter and the moves. So, I think I'll do them too.

The song opened the album, and is a great concert opener, and features the first keyboard/guitar duel in about 15 years , at the time.

Yes, different drummer. Original drummer , Jukka Nevalainen, had to step aside from performing in 2014 due to health issues caused by severe insomnia, but he remains with the band in management. Jukka called his friend , Kai Hahto from Wintersun, to take over. The EFMB album is the first recorded with Kai and Floor.
Elan has a good music video, you could do a double reaction, with the live and MV, when you get to that song here at the Wembley concert.

Hi! First time viewer and recent subscriber here! Nightwish is my favourite band and I love watching reaction videos to their stuff and seeing their amazing music touching so many new people.
I would strongly recommend you check out "The Greatest Show On Earth" by them, it's a 20 minute masterpiece that tells the story about the creation of Earth and the birth of humans and animals and of course, Tuomas was like, yeah I can write a song about that easily. I swear that man is the greatest composer alive today.
But yeah, love your videos and I hope to see you react to this experience because I think you will love it.

First, the not so new drummer :
Kai Hahto is "The Human Metronome", or in my book Kai "The Machine Gun" Hahto ( is a Finnish musician and drummer).
Hahto was a member of the grindcore band Rotten Sound.
Hahto then recorded with the band Wintersun as a session drummer before joining them as a band member.
On 6 August 2014, it was announced that Hahto will be playing drums on the forthcoming Nightwish album, replacing Jukka Nevalainen, who went on hiatus from the band due to insomnia, and Hahto performed on all live shows since that date. On July 15, 2019, Hahto became Nightwish's permanent drummer following Nevalainen's decision not to return to the band.
This song is one of three great openings from them ("Dark Chest Of Wonders", "Shudder Before The Beautiful" and now "Music" intro followed by "Noise" ).
Shudder before the Beautiful is referring to the amazement and wonder we (The Travelers) should all feel regarding the natural world. It is all around us including the solar system and universe, which we are all a part of while traveling amongst the stars on this small spec of blue.
I agree with you. The vocals should be slightly louder in the mix from this show. The bass is just a bit to loud with dampens the overall sound a little.
This was from the Nightwish 2015 record, "Endless Forms Most Beautiful". many of the songs from this record revolve around a theme of wonder and appreciation for the natural world all around us. Nightwish members are very much nature lovers and ponder deeply about the universe, how it works, and our place within its grand workings.

My favourite NW concert opener, also the opening song of my favourite album. Yeah, that keyboard sound is...interesting. It's not like that on the album (though it's still spacey), I think Tuomas was just having fun experimenting! My favourite music videos are probably _Elan,_ _The_ _Islander,_ _Noise,_ the competition-winning "official fan video" for _The_ _Crow,_ _The_ _Owl_ _and_ _the_ _Dove,_ and _Amaranth._

I'd also like to say that one of the very very few notes I'd give to Tuomas is to find a different sound on the keyboard for his solo. It doesn't stand out or cut through the mix and does sound like a rather random bit thrown in. But he is otherwise a genius, so I forgive him thiat one lol. Cheers!```

Helluva way to open a show! This is a fantastic concert. Maybe my favorite Nightwish set list at a single show. Mic sounds great. Kai Hahto was Jukka’s mentor and took over the kit in the 2014-15 timeframe, after chronic insomnia forced him into retirement. Jukka remained with the band in a business role. For an official Nightwish music video, maybe start with Noise from their most recent album. Enjoy the show! I’m here for it.

How are you doing? Because if I remember correctly you dear and so beautiful cat passed away. I had that happen to my 21 year old Persian cat. Still miss him dearly, and even more so because movers lost the box where I had my family, and pet photos.
So now I don't even have a picture to remember my "Puppet" by. That was his name he answered. He's official name was Puemont III something, but I just called him Puppet. And I got him when he was 7moths old, he had gone some shows that point too. But for me he was a home cat/pet.

This is a song that still rises up my NW favorites ranks, just like Amaranth btw. I also find SBTB an awesome first song to introduce NW to non-metal colleagues and friends.
And yes, Kai Hahto replaced Yukka at the beginning of the new NW album after Wacken '13, as his insomnia simply became too much of a problem.
I do like the "battle" between Tuomas and Emppu, something you don't see done anymore during music concerts.

The new drummer was needed because the original suffered from migraines and insomnia. If my calculations are correct the next video for Nightwish is “yours is an empty hope” this will be interesting! Btw what are you doing with songs you’ve already seen?
Yeah I wondered this myself, but then I also thought to myself live performances are always a bit different. With bands I have seen multiple times on one tour each night is always unique. Like the stage banter and the moves. So, I think I'll do them too.

Well spotted. Jukka had to retire as he suffered from debilitating insomnia and he chose his friend and tutor Kai Hahto from Wintersun to replace him. Kai is amazing but without the extravagance.

Yes, they had to change the drummer. Jukka was suffering from some kind of insomnia for years, which at some point made it impossible for him to continue being active in the band. Jukka himself recommended Kai, who has a different style of playing, but still fits NW well.
