That seriously may be the best looking WJ rack I've seen. Certainly the most original. I love the integrated lights. Great work man. Would you be willing to share some of the plans with me? Anything you have would be helpful.
William B. Finley thanks, Thanks, and yeah ill have to find the plans again but i should be able to find some of the dimensions for you, a decent amount of it was just making decisions on the fly though so they may not be helpful.
Love the roof rack and how it's set up and the look. I would love to build something very similar to this. If possible could you share the blueprints. I don't won't to steal your plans completely but this roof rack and light set up would would work great for my job as armed private, and getting my own PSC company advertise since I'm doing a tactical build on my WJ.
The drawings I have are very limited, i did a lot of it on the fly. If you're located in Florida I'll be selling this Jeep with the rack in a few months lol

Hey man I read that you sold the Jeep but can you share on how and where you ran the wires, how much of an extension did you need, and did you run a second battery or did you make a separate fuse box. Thanks
that's a sick looking setup but one question...should u have brought that basket up higher so you have higher sides so you can keep things in there also?
Love this roof rack man, you did a great job on it!!! I plan on making one similar to it now but with some smaller walls on it so it can hold a spare tire. Do you get any wind sound going down the highway?
Good to know then! I put a light bar on the factory roof rack on mine and it has really bad wind noise so Im hoping when I build mine like yours ill mount it directly onto the rack and shouldn't have to worry about it!@@cbennett1

I wanted it flat to accommodate a rooftop tent, I added the tie downs gor if I want to carry other stuff

Did you build this roof rack? I'm curious how it's mounted to the roof. I'm looking to build a platform rack for a tent.
William B. Finley Yes I did. I mounted it to the mounting holes that are there originally for the factory roof runners

Actually just sold the vehicle, but I didn't have a 2 battery setup.
What do you think the rack weighs
Around 130-140 lbs with the lights. Square tube is all 14 gauge so not terribly heavy
Thats not the best light but the roof rack looks pretty nice
